Pack this!

Since I started traveling for work, I've become quite a good packer. I used to be that girl that packed her luggage to the max and brought everything for a "just in case". Well, when you are flying with colleagues to London, Milan, Paris, Barcelona and Amsterdam all in one week (yes, that's true, we did that.) you don't have the choice to pack everything and anything when you're running through the airport every day. Especially when all your colleagues are men who travel with one suitcase.

One thing that I hate packing are my chargers. I have laptop, phone, ipod, ipod speakers (have you ever been in a hotel room by yourself? Boring. I need music!) with chargers that all need to come with me and since they tend to be bulky and weigh down my bag, I end up sticking them in my suitcase. I try not to check my suitcase, but on the one occasion that I did, they lost my suitcase, and all my chargers were in there. I was on business in New York and then leaving for London two days later so I quite needed those chargers. I live off my phone and laptop while traveling, I have to stay connected or it drives me crazy. For those few days in New York while the airlines recovered my bag, I had to conserve my cell phone power like no other. I was so concerned about not having power and so I turned it off and ended up missing an important call from my parents. It's situations like that, that I never want to be in again.

Aside from carrying at least my cell phone charger in my carry on, I've discovered this wonderful little gadget via StyleSpy. A Hello Kitty Solar Power Charger!
I have a t-mobile dash that has a USB connection and the cord is small enough to fit in my purse so I can carry that around much easier than the actual charger. Now all I have to do to get some power is to make sure Hello Kitty gets some sunlight and my phone can be charged without the actual charger. Plus, it's Hello Kitty, how could I not love that?
