Questions and a Giveaway!

I was going to start preparing posts for the week that I am in Jamaica but have run out of ideas, so I thought that I would open this up to any questions you might have and I'll post the answers while I'm away. You can ask me questions about myself or if you have fashion/style questions, whatever, I'm open to it!

And so I don't look like a loser that doesn't get questions, I'm going to entice you with a giveaway! Yes, you can be the proud owner of your very own Style-ish handmade turtle! Just leave a comment or email me your question and at the end of the week when I am back I will do a random drawing! I might even make two turtles for the winner!

I am only going to be taking questions until Tuesday 8pm PST so all other questions after that may get answered later but will not be eligible for the giveaway.

So... ask away!

p.s. hello to all of you that came over from Ben's featured blogger post! I ♥ Ben!

*sorry to my international readers but the giveaway is open to US readers only. I will still answer your questions though! Standing in line at the post office gives me a headache and I can't send packages outside of the US without going there.

  1. Hi! I found you through Ben's featured blogger post and I absolutely love your blog!

Since I'm at work right now, I'll ask something later.

  2. I'd like to know how your life seems to be so beautifully put together in a world where everything matches and is glamorous and beautiful while my life was scraped from the bottom of a bargain bin.

Okay, that was harsh and largely exaggerated.

    But seriously...HOW?

  3. yay! i love open questions!

okay, i have two and i hope they aren't too personal - if they are you totally don't have to answer.

    (1) can you tell us a little bit more about your job/what it is you do that allows you to afford such BEAUTIFUL shoes, to-die for clothes and to travel!!!

    (2) what would you say is the value of your entire shoe collection? i think carrie's (SATC) was in the ball park of $30 000 but i'm betting you rival that!

    oh and (3) - i lied:
what is the one pair of shoes that you own that you could not do without!

can you tell i heart your shoes?

oh p.s. - though i'm in toronto i'll be in the states in a few days for a little while so i'm hoping i'm eligible!

  4. I am in love with those turtles!!! They are so cute. Okay, question, question ...how's your digi perm holdin' up? When might you have to get it redone? Or, will it just last forever?

  5. I want to know what it is you do for a living. I would die for the glorious clothes you can afford. I don't mean to pry I've just always been curious.

  6. I love love love those turtles!

My question is: What is your absolute favorite item of clothing? AND what is your favorite pair of shoes?

question: what is your most extravagant item??

  8. umm.. what's your mom's name? maybe my mom knows your mom... you're chinese right?

  9. Ok those turtles are adorable!

My question is what was your first expensive clothing/shoe purchase that changed the way you shopped for clothes/shoes? And do you still have that piece?

Have fun in Jamaica! We loved Negril! A little slow, ok a LOT slow and beware the airport is NOT air conditioned (very bad thing for a mommy dragging around 2 kids!) BUT once we got to the resort, FABU!

  10. Turtles! That alone prompts a question: What's the pattern for those little guys? I crochet and knit and would love to make some myself!

  11. I have actually been planning on emailing you this question, so this could not have come at a better time:

What are your top recommendations for stylish but (reasonably) comfy black pumps? I know you get lots of shoe questions, but you are the queen of shoes!!

  12. so...tim gunn has his "top 10 must have wardrobe pieces" ... what are your top 10 for your wardrobe?!

another question... what is your favorite "cheapy" piece of clothing or accessory that you can't live without (mine's a $1 vintage necklace I got from a little shop in Akron, Ohio - it gets compliments EVERYTIME!) and what is your most extravagant item that you can't live without? (as a sahm...I don't have extravagant - yet...)

(I love that little turtle - it would go perfectly in my little ones room...now to decide who would get it though if I won!)

  13. Those turtles are just precious and the girl one with the flower, too freaking cute!

Ummm question.. besides photography, crafting, shopping and blogging, what do you do for fun, that doesn't involve the hubby and a bed..or floor.. or table.. ahem.. you get the idea. *wink*

  14. Oh! I never enter giveaways but I think I have to just put myself up there for a turtle.

My question was going to ask about your job, but that has already been asked so I feel like I'm cheating! :)

SO, what is the best deal you think you have gotten while out shopping-- be it your home or shoes or a thrift store find-- the possibilities are endless!

  15. You are the queen of shoes and style! Hmm, my first question would've been what do you do, but that seems to be covered. So I guess I would like to know when it was you first became so interested in fashion and shoes?

  16. I just want to echo Ben: You make me feel like a cheap, unsuccessful, unskilled peasant.

    Or something like that.

So - style, sophistication, and so on aside - what is your favorite guilty pleasure?

Let us know you are human. :)

  17. Finally an ASIAN fashionista that I can somewhat identify with! I love your blog and live vicariously through you everyday.

I understand that you are petite, as am I, and want to know what you feel are fashion dos and don'ts for petite women. What looks are flattering/unflattering?

  22. After I saw your fabulous & informative post on black pumps, I knew I needed to ask you a question!

I'm a college student, and my summer internship was recently extended until the end of the school year, which is great. But now the weather will eventually be cooling down (I live in Southern California, by the way) & I need to update my work wardrobe to include some warmer pieces. What do you suggest?

Just to clarify, my office is business casual, so I normally wear slacks and a blouse or a work-appropriate dress. Thanks! :)
