The Pre-Honeymoon

J and I have yet to take our honeymoon because of unforeseen circumstances that have come our way. We will take a proper European honeymoon one day soon but to help alleviate my sadness of postponing our trip, we have booked a trip to Cabo San Lucas and have deemed it our "pre-honeymoon"!

Everyone asks why we didn't just lump our honeymoon and wedding into one since we were already in Jamaica but I really didn't like that idea. I wanted to have two getaways and didn't mind at all that our honeymoon would be at a later date. We will definitely be going back to Negril for our one year anniversary but for our honeymoon I wanted to go somewhere entirely different.

Anyway, back to our Mexico trip... I am so anxious and excited to see some sun and feel the warmth on my face that all I can do these days is scout out cute bikinis and summer dresses in preparation for our trip.

I saw these adorable matchy matchy bikinis and dresses from Diane von Furstenberg and decided that they needed to come with me. I love that the dresses don't scream "beach cover up" and that I will be able to wear them even if I'm not at the beach.

We will be staying at the Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach. Check out the view from one of their pools. Gorgeous isn't it?

It is a huge resort which we are not used to staying at (we tend to like small boutique hotels) but all the reviews I read were fantastic so I'm not too worried.

I'm sure a lot of you already know about this site, but I just wanted to share that I heavily rely on tripadvisor.com when planning trips. I love the reviews and have yet to be let down by anything I've booked based on the reviews.

We've still got a couple more weeks to go before we leave so I am anxiously waiting. Isn't it fun to have a vacation to look forward to? I always love having it on my calendar so I can count down the days.
