Walk This Way

I know that this is my fashion/style blog and I spend the majority of my time writing about the style-ish aspects of my life but obviously there is way more to me than style so I thought I'd get a little personal. A big part of my life that I don't write about much here (but I do write about it here) is my dogs.

Walks with our dogs are always the best part of my day. Not only do we get to see them wag their happy little tails, but it is always a good time to chat with my husband with no distractions of the TV, internet or phone. Plus, walking outside is something that I never did before we had dogs, but I now know how beneficial it is to just get out, stretch your legs and get some fresh air. During the summer we can walk for more than an hour and explore so many areas that we wouldn't normally go to if we were in our car.

I love these pictures that my husband took on one of our recent walks. There's nothing special about them but they really show what these walks are like. Just simple and happy.

He likes to catch funny pictures of me as I'm walking. Most of the time I try to make weird faces at him but sometimes I'm nice and smile for him. I think he prefers to catch me with a weird face though so he can laugh later on!

Most of the time, we walk during the day but sometimes we get too busy and can't walk them until later in the evening. I love the times we walk them at dusk as it is one of those times of days that just goes by so fast so when we walk the dogs, we really get to enjoy seeing the skies change from blue, to dark blue, to black.

People always ask me when we're gonna move out of the city and get a house but when this is the view that we get to see every day, there is no rush. You can't get anything like this in the suburbs! Plus, who wants a house when you get to live in a cool modern loft! :)
