Dress: BCBG
Belt: Nordstrom
Shoes: Christian Louboutin

I did clip my hair back with a pretty purple bow that I got from Hot Topic. Yes! Hot Topic! A few weeks ago we were out at dinner and I was telling my husband that I needed to get my sister a tiara for her bachelorette party. I had no idea where to go when he was like, "How about Hot Topic?" and he pointed to it right across the street from where we were eating. I was skeptical, why would they have a tiara? But we walked in and checked out the hair accessories and there it was a rack full of tiaras! I picked out a pretty pink one for her and then noticed all the cute hair bows they had so picked out these two.

ReplyDeletetry the heel grips for the back of the shoes

ReplyDeleteI'm with you on this. I love cinching dresses with cute belts to add more shape and cuuuurves =)
ReplyDeleteSo cute!! I have been pleasantly surprised with Hot Topic's hair accessories every once in awhile. Love the bows and the dress is precious. Looks like Seattle has been a lot sunnier than Chicago lately... shouldn't this be opposite?? Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteADORABLE! ...a huge fan of little belts! love this on your :)
ReplyDeleteYou look AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteBelt always adds up either shape or sassy-ness for the whole look, I tend to add belts with anything flow-y.

ReplyDeleteHope all is well!!!

ReplyDeleteYou look totally cute.
ReplyDeleteThat dress looks really light for a tweed...great for summer. It would look cute with a skinny red belt too. Love it!

ReplyDeletejust wanted to tell you i bought 4 of those jcrew tissue tees and LOVE them! i want to get more!
Kelly- thank you girl! i owe you an email! will catch up with you tonight :)
ReplyDeletechyyfire - thanks for your suggestion! the problem is that my foot just slides forward so that my heel doesn't even touch the back, so heel grips don't work either.
L.A. Daze - thank you so much for your comment! I hope it's not your last :) will check out your blog as soon as I get a chance!
Onada - thank you! who doesn't love the Loubies right? ;) haha
Chessa - you are always too kind. :)
Kristin - thank you! I have looked at some of those Etsy shops, I wonder how big the clips are tho? my hair is so thick I think little girl clips would hold about 3 strands of my hair!
Lily G. yes, belts are the best!
Nikki - I think we've been lucky with the weather the past few weeks! It's a bit overcast today though.
Maegan - thanks!
ReplyDeleteMrs. Zeus - sassy-ness is a must! hehe

I adore the whole outfit.
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous!
that dress is fantastic! I love the addition of a metallic belt! I've been needing one for a while; I think it adds a nice touch to cardigans and dresses and helps make everything look a lot more pulled together.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! I have to agree with you on the skinny metallic belts.. I own one and it's practically being worn out because I use it so much :D
ReplyDeleteI love this "boring" outfit! BCBG rarely fails.

i really like this dress. i'm in the market for more 'girly' pieces [dresses & such] and i'm constantly reminded of you....using you for some inspiration :)
ReplyDeleteHot Topic? No way! You look adorable as always!
ReplyDeleteLove the dress on you! :] It's 10x beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOMG, I just hate that too! I ALWAYS find a pair of the most gorgeous pair of shoes but they are either too BIG or too SMALL. x_x
I'm going through almost the same exact thing! I have these sandals from Urban Outfitters that I've only worn a couple of times and they are super-tight on me feet now, so I'm trying to sell them. :]
And the bows are super-cute, also! (:
I was actually surprised to hear you got them from Hot Topic; I'd never had the guts to walk inside those stores; the people who work there just always scared me a little. :]
xooooxoxo
great outfit-- my sister always have shoe fit trouble (she swears her foot is a 6 3/4 size) and she has a lot of lock making big shoes a bit snugger with dr scholl's gel heel pads, not sure what the actual name of the product is, but do check it out before you part ways with such lovely shoes!
ReplyDeleteyou look so cute!!!! love the grey with the royal blue bow on your hair and of course the fab shoes!
ReplyDeleteAdorable! I'm always looking for dressier office options that are still cute and professional. And Hot Topic--who knew?
ReplyDeleteOh I have the shoe problem too! It's frustrating - I swear that my feet shrink in winter too...I've resorted to putting full insoles in =(
ReplyDeleteI love the dress, it's suitable for work yet still a fresh (and very flattering) change from the suits!
what is this Revitalash you speak of?!?!? ....it's really working? I must check it out! ...also that atlantis pendant lamp below is blowing my mind!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the dress! YOU ARE ADORABLE!! ahh and those HAIRCLIPS!! HOW FABULOUS!!
ReplyDeleteOh the bows are very cute, though I personally probably wouldn't wear one. BUT you look great with them SRSLY. <3
ReplyDeleteyou look absolultely adorable.
