Lookbook: Wish9:00 AM
Back from Vegas! Had such a blast but am very, very tired. The penthouse was gorgeous, the cabana was heavenly and the clubs were packed! We went to Lavo on Friday and The Bank on Saturday and got tables at both clubs so didn't have to suffer among the huge crowds nor wait in the ridiculous lines. The past few times I've been to Vegas we've gotten tables at each club and it is SO worth it (but admittedly very pricey). It's the only way to go! Interestingly, we went to The Bank the same night Pete Wentz was having his birthday party and they gave us the table pretty much right next to their party. It was insane. And btw, Ashlee Simpson is more gorgeous in person than I expected. I had to get up at 5AM to catch my flight (the airlines changed my flight schedule last minute, I promise you I did not book such an early flight on purpose!) so I went to bed earlier than the rest of the girls but the 2 hours of sleep did me no good and was a zombie the entire flight. Even screaming babies did not phase me. Anyway, no pictures this time as I purposefully left my camera at home. I knew that the girls would bring their digital cameras and I just did not want to lug my 5lb camera around. If you want to see what I wore on Saturday night you can check out my twitpic! Dress by Wish, Clutch by Felix Rey, Bangles by J.Crew and a brand new amethyst cocktail ring. Oh and shoes, Louboutin of course! Which goes right into my latest lookbook...
My husband and I shop at boutiques more than we do department stores. Well, mainly for clothes, for shoes I usually go to department stores (it's hard to find boutiques that carry Louboutin and Jimmy Choo around here!) And one of our favorites is Ian in downtown Seattle. We have been regular customers there for a long time, like 4-5 years now and so all the sales people/managers know us. While J was in the dressing room trying on stuff, the manager came out with an armful of pretty dresses and said "I just had to show you this new stuff we got in. It's perfect for you!" And he was right! I loved everything! This is one of the dresses I bought that day.
Steph of That Girl is Hoisin inspired this little hairstyle but I left mine as a side ponytail instead of a bun. All it is, is a french braid at the front of your hair and then braid until the part that you pull into a ponytail.
My makeup was a thick black liner for both the upper and lower lids. On the inner corner I dabbed a bit of turquoise eyeshadow that matched the dress and made my eyes pop out. A little blush and some pink gloss completes the look!
