Lookbook: Bridesmaid

My beautiful sister and her bridesmaids! I ended up getting my dress hemmed up but didn't get the hips slimmed (as I had mentioned in this post) so it ended up making me look kind of hippy but oh well, it didn't matter since it wasn't my day anyway :) However, Stephanie (the bridesmaid on my left) had her tailor take the pockets out and slim the sides so you can see the huge difference it made. So if you have the same problem with these dresses, you'll just have to decide if you want the pockets or not.

What We're Wearing:

The color of the dresses were totally perfect for the background. I absolutely love the colors in this picture, so vibrant! And thanks to my daddy for taking this picture for us. I pulled my hair into a side french braid and then wrapped the bottom into a low side bun and added the flower embellishment to the top of the bun. I hadn't planned on pulling all my hair back (I don't really like how I look with all my hair back) but with the weather being so hot, I knew I had to have it up so that's why I went with that.

My brother was doing the videography for the wedding (like he did for mine, click here to see our video) and his friend Kevin, who is an awesome photographer (who took these shots of J and I) came along to take pictures to help incorporate into the video. He took these shots of me and J so had to share them with you all.

For the reception, I just let the bun go and had a side ponytail with the flower clipped to the top of the ponytail.

And I love this one because Jen and Mark were stopping to take a few pictures with Punam after the ceremony and I was helping my sister change shoes or fix her hair or something like that and Jared sat down with my bouquet to wait for me. Kevin snapped this shot of the boys waiting for us and he said to me "Your husband is badass" It wasn't until I saw the picture that I knew what he meant. He does look pretty badass even with a bouquet of roses in his hand. haha!

This has to be my favorite picture of us, I think we laughed the entire time while we were getting ready so it was only fitting that we were laughing after the ceremony too.

Isn't my sister so gorgeous? The hair and makeup artist did such a fabulous job on her and she had this fabulous trick of curling her lashes with a spoon! My sister has gorgeous long lashes and they looked so good! Check out the first shot from Punam's blog, those are her real lashes!

If I didn't already have my dream wedding, I would have been entirely jealous of my sister's wedding because it was just perfect. Oh and can I just say how much I love my family? We can rock it out on the dance floor! If you haven't seen the post yet, Punam managed to get a shot of every single one of my family members on the dance floor, busting our crazy moves. My parents were the most adorable when they pulled out their little "dancing with the stars" dance routine. Everyone was like "Wow! Your parents can dance!" I couldn't stop smiling the whole night.

Jared and I have been so busy so haven't been able to edit our Mexico pictures yet. I decided that I won't be posting any of our pictures from the wedding. Mainly because I was there to support my sister and not to be her photographer. She already had two excellent photographers there that day anyway. J and I did take some pictures, but I feel that our pictures we took are for my family and for their memories and not for our portfolio. Some things are best left private you know? :)

With that said, I do love this shot I got at the reception. The lighting they brought in created such pretty colors! This was straight from the camera, no editing.
