Lookbook: Nintendo Party

You saw this outfit previously in my Girlfriends Guide to Gaming party but wanted to do a full lookbook on it as the dress is too cute. I had to give it a post of it's own!

What I'm Wearing:
Dress: Lush
Belt: Nordstrom
Shoes: Christian Dior
Clutch: Felix Rey

I had been shopping around before my sister's bachelorette party to find some cute dresses to take to Vegas (because you can't wear what you already have in your closet, right girls? ;) and this is one of the dresses that I got. I did end up wearing it to Vegas and I thought it would be a cute dress to wear to the Nintendo party as well. Plus, I got to wear my awesome blue shoes which I am IN LOVE with. Everyone that sees me says "How can you walk in those" but trust me when I say they are comfortable! I have worn many many uncomfortable shoes in my life but these Dior's are not one of them.

My favorite new 'do is this front side french braid but I didn't pull it as far back as I did in this lookbook, I just pinned it right below my ear.

I had to remove the picture per BlogHer Ads requirement, please click here for the picture.

Oh and the big ol ring is Forever 21 and the bangles are J.Crew. The nail polish is Essie, Bachelorette Bash.

Just a little plug for me and my husband's photography business, as you know we are just starting out and we are still only doing this part time because we both still work full time, but we would love to book a few more clients for the rest of 2009. What's great for clients is since we are not doing this full time, we are able to offer really good prices for what you are getting.

We are even doing family portraits, pet portraits, engagement shoots, trash the dress, etc... whatever you want, we can probably do it! So feel free to contact me with any ideas you may have.

Thanks loves!

  2. I love that dress! I'm glad you did a lookbook post on this because I wanted to see an up-close picture of the outfit. The interesting thing about shoes is even if they have sky-high heels they are still pretty comfortable to walk in simply because they are well made. Love 'em!

  5. Your dress is so cute!! Love the shoes :) Well-made shoes definitely make a difference as far as comfort. I actually had to google "Trash the dress" to see what this is all about... what an amazing concept!! Personally, I don't think I could do it, but I loved seeing the photos of brides in their gowns while being completely engulfed by a wave or jumping into a pool. There was one amazing one of a girl and her dress was on fire.. I couldn't blow it up but it looked so cool. (Kinda scary, too...) Good luck with your photography business, I live in the Chicago area otherwise I'd probably hire you to do some family portaits of the Hubs, fur baby, and myself! I wasn't very happy with our wedding photog either, I'm dying to re-do some bridal portaits, maybe for our 1st anniversary.

And you KNOW you're my wedding, engagement, etc photographer for life. Well hopefully those things only happen once hahaha. And I just met a boy, so easy Liz, easy. So it might in a year or two but consider yourself booked, and in the meantime I will spread the word to my girls because everyone is getting engaged! I need to email you about your sis but I'm sure she's on her honeymoon? Hope so!
    Love you girl! XO
