I was so undecided about this dress because I liked the ruffles but I felt it ended kind of in an awkward place, do you know what I mean? I would've liked it if it had a few extra ruffles or was just ruffles all the way down. And then I realized I bought it in the wrong size after I put it on and took the tags off but oh well, I wore it anyway.
It needed a little something so I added my chain/ribbon necklace along with a pearl necklace I just bought from the J Crew outlet. If you have a J Crew outlet near you, I highly reccommend going there and stocking up on their jewelry! They have all the last season stuff which is still gorgeous, marked down and then they had an addtional 20% off! I got a few necklaces to add to my necklace obsession.

Have you tried registering at lookbook.nu? I think your stuff would be a great addition to that site, not that you should stop posting them here, too. I think on some people, the ruffles would be a bit awkward, but I like them. They're different, and you look terribly adorable in it.
ReplyDeleteYou look adorable! ...and the dress is cute ...but I get what you mean about the ruffles. You know what you could do ...belt it under the last ruffle, with a skinny belt, and blouse it out a little ...then wear it with jeans or leggings. ...not that you asked. lol.

ReplyDeleteI have the same dress in that olivey color. I went down a size and got an xsmall cause I felt shorter (with the ruffles) worked better on me.... I think the dress is super cute on you. Love the pink... maybe I should go grab that one too.

ReplyDeleteI have something similar in my closet; try putting a wide belt (perhaps patent black or a coloured one?) to accentuate your waist. It should do the trick to make the dress have more shape and also ..the ruffles will look much better. :)
