Lookbook: Ruffles and Stripes

Happy Monday! Hope everyone got to enjoy their weekends. Mine was busy but a lot of fun. We (my hubs and I) stopped by the Boutique Culture Warehouse Sale and I got to meet my twitter/blogging friends @boutiqueculture, @alixrose, @agentnoir, @jessestrada, and the gorgeous designer @jesicamilton who I bought the most adorable skirt from. Oh and I also got to meet @vuesociety at the Product Runway show! If you are on twitter make sure to follow all of them, they are all such fabulous ladies!

Anyway, onto Monday Lookbook! I knew I liked ruffles but didn't really realize it until I was just looking through my past lookbooks and noticed how many ruffle-y shirts I own. I also really love short sleeve button down blouses but those, I don't own as many of.

What I'm Wearing:
Blouse: Zara
Shorts: Banana Republic
Shoes: Dior

I got this shirt a few years ago and haven't worn it much, but couldn't part with it because I loved the ruffles. I just bought these cute striped shorts and when I went to pair it with a top I decided that the ruffles would do!

I love the subtle stripes and the color of these shorts as well as the cute tabs on the sides. Shorts are the one thing that I will miss when fall comes as I'm not one that transitions to fall wearing shorts. I just can't do the tights under shorts thing. I think it's adorable on others but just doesn't work for me.

And the perfect touch were my blue Dior pumps! I love how these pumps go with so many of my outfits. It's a blue that's kinda unexpected but works so well with all sorts of looks.
