Thakoon's Spring 2010 show had these floral mixes that I thought were really pretty and just worked very well.

You don't even need to try with this dress, the mixing is already done for you!
I like the bold flower amidst the stripes.
And a pretty pastel frock.
Some outfit choices:
This pretty dotted blouse +
this plaid mini is a great mix of patterns.
I would add this blazer and these platform pumps to tone down yet not take away from the patterns.
Adore this polka dot, ruffle number +
this gorgeous striped embellished cardigan.
Add these cutie shoes for a perfectly mixed matched outfit!
This comfy long cardigan just needs an embellished tee +
this little plaid skirt. Comfy and Cute!
Complete the look with these gray flats.
a lightweight cardigan, perfect for the breezy spring days.
You also need these Miu Miu wedges, they are just lovely!

Just found your blog and love it!!! I am in love with that Delia's polka dot dress

i love the idea of pattern mixing...i have yet to try it myself though...
ReplyDeleteLove those DKNY long-ish skirts. They're fantastic! Can only be worn with heels really, though.
ReplyDeleteOOH I love those mixed floral pieces at Thakoon. Wish I'd gone to the show :(

love the thakoon dresses!
ReplyDeletei love this trend! in fact, I don't even want to call it a trend bc it's one of those timeless looks that is here to stay...it just makes things more playful and interesting.
ReplyDeleteI'm traditionally not a prints girl, but it's something I'm really working on. However, right now, I'm totally obsessed with polka dots. I want to buy everything I see that's done in that print. I cant' seem to get enough of it. So, in love.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog. Just wanted to let you know that! I love your cute lil outfits and your photography. I tried on Louboutins and they weren't that comfortable, are they really worth the money? I wanted a pair but after trying them on I'm not sure...can you convince me? :)
ReplyDeleteI want that Polka-Dot dress!!! But dang, girl I cannot afford that. lol
ReplyDeleteI love all the mixing and matching- DKNY looks are perfection!
ReplyDeleteI love mixing patterns too! Though sometimes I must admit I chicken out, LOL.
ReplyDeleteWow. So much to love here, but I'm still timid about mixing my prints. I'll have to keep browsing this post until I get some courage up. But I really am loving these!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog! I am so scared to mix prints, but maybe seeing a few others do it successfully will bolster my courage.

love this blog!! following!! come by my fashion/modeling blog www.hey8tsix.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the runway to real way versions. Mixing patterns takes skill, but can look so good!
ReplyDeleteI like how rules from before are either bending or just flat-out broken. Style is so much a state of mind, both in the confidence of the wearer and the clear intent that's shown when things are paired together.
ReplyDeleteAre Coatigans in ? Most say yes. Is the term Coatigans in ? Yes, at the moment.
ReplyDeleteWell lets be honest, it's a much more trendy term than, say, Jeggings. What the hell, and who wants to wear jeggings anyway, leggings that look like jeans, how 'sink estate' can you get.
Coatigans, should they stay or should they go, you decide, have a look at - www.coatigans.com
Hmm I've been doing solids mostly lately and experimenting with color, but this post intrigues me a lot to try experimenting more with patterns! I suppose the idea is to keep to adjacent colors and then mix up the patterns?
