Jewelry Essentials

Since my post yesterday was about organizing my jewelry, I thought I'd share what I consider my "jewelry essentials". Basically what kind of jewelry that I love and the stuff that I wear most often.
Here's some of my favorite pieces from my jewelry collection.

As you can see, I love big flashy jewelry but I never wear too much of it all at once, just little bits at a time.

So, starting with necklaces, I love real simple necklaces like these that you can wear with just anything and even layer them together.
(Click on any of the pictures below to take you right to the product link to buy)
And still simple with a little bit of bling

Pearl necklaces are way more prominent in my collection now. I'm not sure when I started liking them but I have a ton now. I like the ones that you can wear long or double it over.

But the best necklaces have to be the fun sparkly necklaces that just adds an extra something to any outfit.

For rings, I don't really do small. Almost all of my rings are gigantic and take over my fingers. And that's how I like them!

I wear a lot of bangles and I like to stack them and mix and match.

I have a lot of earrings and went through an earring phase but now I don't really wear them except for my diamond studs. I've been trying to get back into wearing big earrings again and really like the big stand out kind of earrings.

So, that's it! I think accessories definitely help make the outfit and jewelry is a big part of all my outfits. Even though I have a ton, I still manage to wear most of my pieces pretty often.

Another shot of my jewels. I think jewelry is just as fun to shoot as shoes are! :)

  2. I see lots of ribbon-tie necklaces in your collection : )

I am obsessed with those as well. My ribbon ties would always crinkle, though, and dangle frumpily in the back - thankfully I realized I could just take my straightener and iron them out in 5 seconds.

  3. What a great post. No one gives jewelry the attention it deserves. I know how different my outfit is when I wear my vintage pearls, but sometimes I am in such a hurry I don't put two and two together and realize, this piece of jewelry would look good with this outfit. I often overlook it. I am going to try hard to incorporate more of my jewelry.

  5. Beautiful jewels!!

Have you ever run out of ways to store your necklaces, or can't find your favorite earrings though? It happens to me all the time!

I've got the perfect solution for store, display & organize all that jewelry.

'Jewels on Display' decorative jewelry frames serve as both artwork & a solution for keeping your earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and rings neat, untangled, & easy to find. They also have a funky pattern background to help spice up your room or closet. Check them out at NishkasNiche.etsy.com. Don't want to damage those beautiful jewels of yours. :)

  9. yea, i've cut down on wearing earrings too. i pretty much only wear one pair even though i have a lot.

i noticed from the first photo that you're very fond of satin tie necklaces :). i think they're pretty, but it sucks if they get wet or come undone.

  10. Such pretty pictures... :) I'm not a huge jewelry person, but I'm working on it! I might see about buying a pair of diamond studs and seeing if I can't wear earrings again -- I have a nickel allergy, so cheapy earrings are out. (Along with silver, I think I need fine gold but I haven't tried yet!)

Do they even make diamond studs with surgical steel posts? :| If not, they need to for people like me...

  12. I am not a huge bracelet/bangles person- I have really small wrists, so they always slip off! I love earrings and necklaces...getting more into cocktail rings too :)

  13. I completely agree about jewelry and accessories, in general making an outfit! and, like you, I LOVE my cocktail rings. I love the contrast to my wedding rings on the opposite hand...my rings are so timeless and you can have fun and be playful and whimsical with the other hand. I really do need to organize my jewelry...it's knd of a mess right now.

  16. Those juicy hoops are so pretty! Definitely putting those on my shopping list, heh. I have been looking for some sort of big and gaudy necklace (I'm going to a gala next weekend for work) and didn't even THINK to check forever 21. After seeing the necklace you posted I'm totally going there.

I know what you mean about jewelry being essential to an outfit. I cant walk out of the house with out jewelry, I would just feel incomplete!

  18. Love this post as I love jewelry!! I don't have pierced ears so I'm more into necklaces and bracelets. How do you find rings that fit small hands?? Your collection is so pretty and really reflects your style.
