This is my pretty jewelry organizer that is on the wall in our bedroom. I found this organizer through a post from my girl Candace Rose. I had been looking for the longest time for a jewelry organizer, I was previously using a DIY metal board + pins to hold up my necklaces but this was so much prettier. Sorry I don't have a picture of it closed as my flash kept on bouncing off the glass and making a horrible glare so you only get the open pictures, but closed it looks like a frame for your jewelry.

I love the little hooks. They're pretty strong so I can keep several necklaces or bracelets on one hook and not feel like it's going to snap off.

They're just hooks that I keep inside our walk-in closet. Because they look so cluttered I'd rather have them hidden away than out so inside the closet, next to the door was the perfect wall space. I started out with this one so that's why the hook is much nicer but once it got out of control, I just went out and bought those 3M Hooks that stick on your wall but are easy to take off, and just put them up next to the first one.

So, finally for my rings and my hoop earrings I use the "small canister" from Crate and Barrel and keep it on my nightstand. It's a nice small sleek box that's big enough to hold lots of stuff and not overclutter my nightstand.

Overall, it's a great little system for me and my crazy jewelry addiction. Lately I've been loving all of J. Crew's costume jewelry so have been buying it all from there but Forever 21 is always a great place to pick up some cheap but really cute stuff.
My latest obsession is with gold bracelets, click here to see my picks and tomorrow I'll show you my "jewelry essentials".

Awesome jewelry collection! I love the pearls
ReplyDeleteThis is very inspiring! I need to do something like this for my stock. Thanks for posting this! x
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas! My dresser has two felt-lined jewelry drawers where my stuff resides, but sometimes the necklaces get tangled up. And hubby has decided those drawers are dump-everything-from-my-wallet drawers, but that's a whole other issue. ;)
ReplyDeletewow, those were alot of good suggestions. i attempt to keep my jewelry organized with one of those multi-functional metal jewelry organizers from claire's. it has holes for holding your earrings and hooks on the bottom for your necklaces. however, i'm a big fan of long necklaces like you so it's getting pretty heavy & i'm afraid it's going to fall off my wall. for rings i use a regular wooden jewelry box. my bracelets are the most embarassing. i don't really have too too many, but my bangles are pretty much stacked on anything i can find that is cylindrical and vertical -_-". i never thought about putting them in a box, but u might try that now.
ReplyDeletemy best friend puts her favourite necklaces up via thumbtacks on her wall.
p.s. at my work we keep alot of the excess bracelets and rings in regular glass bowls.
ReplyDeleteThat jewelry organizer is absolutely gorgeous. The link doesn't seem to be working though :(
ReplyDeletelove the way you have everything organized!!!
ReplyDeleteomg i need you to reorganize my jewelry for me...i'm a mess :(
ReplyDeletethanks everyone! and thanks for letting us know how you organize your jewelry! It's always great to get tips from other girls!
ReplyDeleteDiana - hmmm... it looks like the website is down. I think my readers must've crashed it. LOL! That should be the correct link though so check back later! If you want to go to the site directly it is at http://www.costumejewelryorganizer.com/ but looks like the entire site is down right now.
I love that organizer! I have the saddest little necklace collection so right now I just hang everything on my fabric mannequin from the Philippines (which also holds my small collection of belts and scarves). Stud earrings are a problem for me though ... they are all over the place!
ReplyDeleteLove your picture frame organizer! Going to have to check that out. For now I have a few standing racks for earrings and short necklaces. I understand about the long necklaces and bangles... Those are overflowing in little baskets. And headbands - oh my, what do you do with head band? I have about 2 dozen and I think you have plenty too.
ReplyDeleteBTW - LOVE the House of Harlow bracelet you picked!

ooo love the organizer. as of right now my long chains are just hanging from my closet door handle. haha. but this is such a good way to keep organized! thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteTiffany... what a great jewelry organizer.. I was thinking of doing a post of how I "organize" my jewelry, but yours is quite amazing and puts my organizational skills (or lack there of, ha ha) to shame! :)
ReplyDeletexx Love & Aloha.
I too use 3M hooks for my necklaces. Even though they aren't pretty to look at they do the job well and as a renter I love that I didn't have to make another hole in the wall.
ReplyDeleteI have a nice wooden jewelry box that I use for my rings, studs, and small but expensive necklaces. I use the hooks to manage my longer necklaces, mostly costume jewelry from F21 and J Crew.
Wow this is very cool.
ReplyDeleteLove this post, its so pretty! Another great way to organize long neclaces and things I find is to purchase one of those tie hangers for men with multiple hooks. The hooks are usually soft and spaced apart and its really compact; I hang it in my cloest for all my long necklaces

Doh! I think my comment didn't post right -- I was saying this totally is the kick in the butt that I needed to get thinking about organizing my jewelry. Right now it's in one of those tool organizers, with all the little plastic drawers. Not Jaunty. But I'll bet I could get Mr. Magpie to help out if I found an old cabinet and wanted to make it into a jewelry chest!
ReplyDeleteIt looks amazing!!! Thank you for the idea, my necklaces have been giving me a headache to organize forever!
ReplyDeletei love how organized it is! i need to take some tips from you b/c my necklaces are ALWAYS tangled and many times i just have to throw them away!

ReplyDeleteThis is great how you organize your jewelry. But I may have found a SOLUTION for those LONG necklaces and rings.
ReplyDelete'Jewels on Display' Jewelry Frames holds all sizes of earrings, necklaces, bracelets, watches, and rings. They're large enough to keep a lot of jewels neat, untangled, & easy to find. And it also comes in a variety of funky pattern backgrounds that either match or spice up a room or closet. Check them out at www.NishkasNiche.etsy.com.
Plus they are handmade :)
i don't know why i'm surprised, but you are so organized!!!
ReplyDeleteI got this at a Arts&WIne Festival in Mountain View. The lady who makes them gave me her card. You can order them at this site
