Lookbook: Mixing Stripes

Hope you all had a Happy Valentine's day! And Happy Chinese New Year! And happy President's Day/day off for a lot of you! Wow, lots to be happy about :)

I've never shopped at LOFT before and there is not a store nearby (okay there is, but it's not in an area where I go to often) but with all the cute stuff they are getting in, I ordered some stuff online. I wasn't sure about sizing so for all of you that might order from them as well, I ordered the regular XS/size 0 as well as some Petite XS/0 pieces and everything fit much better in the Petite sizing. But a lot of it is still a bit boxy so will be taking some pieces to my tailor to get a better fit.

I am obsessed with this Trovata cardigan, the black and white stripes just go with so many outfits and it's super warm. If you've hung out with me recently, you've probably seen me wearing it :) I've really been into mixing patterns including mixing stripes and stripes. You can't tell from the pictures, but the tunic is a light blue/white stripe so the contrast of the big stripes on the cardigan and the small stripes work well together.

I get a lot of requests to see my handbags so instead of taking pictures of them individually I just decided to add them into my lookbooks. I probably won't add them into all of my lookbooks, but you'll start seeing them some more. This is my beloved Marc by Marc Jacobs cross body bag that I carried all over Hong Kong with me. I'm not one to wear cross body bags at home, I'm just so used to carrying shoulder bags and totes, so I just took the strap of this bag and doubled it through to create a shoulder bag.

Will this weather stop being so crappy? I'm so ready to put away my boots and wear some pretty shoes!

Rag and Bone make some of my favorite jeans. Their jeans just fit the best and don't stretch out like crazy. I love these ones and these crop ones too.

GAP Rugby Striped Cardigan

Nautical stripes are the latest trend and I like this in red. Loving this long cardi too and how the model is wearing it with a polka dot blouse.

Here are the Ankle bootie version of my boots and I think these low booties would be cute with this look too.

I can't find my bag anywhere, I think it's all sold out but I love all the MBMJ bags from that collection. I'm thinking about getting this one in cream. And this shoulder bag looks like it would be a great everyday bag.
