Tee: J. Crew Boyfriend Tissue Tee
Jeans: Uniqlo
Shoes: Prada
Bag: on loan from Rebecca Minkoff/Tweet My Bag
Necklace: DIY

Onto my outfit, I felt like the bright salmon color of the bag should be the focal point so I went with a jeans + tee look but added my favorite white blazer. The last touch was this necklace that I just made. The best part of my sabbatical is that I'm able to do all my crafty stuff that I love to do but never have time! It makes me excited to actually have an hour or two to create something just for me. I got the instructions from the gorgeous Behind the Seams so am going to send you over there to see her easy to follow directions and her pretty version.

I got mine awhile ago at shopdetour but Bluefly has it now at a great price! Although this one looks more off-white than mine does.
You really can't go wrong with white blazers. This one from Anthro is a good choice too or this gorgeous studded one.
This bow/striped tee would look cute too or this slouchy comfy tee.
If you want to leave them cuffed like mine but still want them hemmed, I just add about 1.5 - 2 inches to my regular hem length.
I've always been a fan of True Religion skinnies but I think that non-designer denim has really changed over the years and you can get some great quality jeans for under $100 like these Levi's or these Cheap Monday's.
Gray pumps are as essential in my wardrobe as black pumps. You just need them. These are the same shape as mine, just with some added zebra stripes and here's some great ones for $40.
The bag I have is the Matinee bag but I'd take this hobo bag in the same pretty color.
You really can't go wrong with any of her designs. There are too many choose from, I love all these too!
I really like this necklace and if I get some more time, I might try to DIY it.
Totally unaffordable but sooo pretty.
A lot more affordable but in my opinion, totally DIY-able too.
*I was not compensated in any way for posting about Tweet My Bag. I just think it's a great site! :)

I love the way you wore this. That jacket is a perfect compliment to the bag.

i really like this take on pearls, which are usually way too classic for me. this is a gorgeous outfit (as always!) and what a unique and cool bag!
ReplyDeletei have been on the lookout for grey boots and pumps. want. desperately.
i've never spent more than $60 on jeans and that offended me ;) maybe i should try premium denim someday!
Great job on your necklace! It's it even more special since you made it yourself?!
