Lookbook: Black, White and Purple

I wore this dress last in September and it’s been sitting in my closet ever since. It’s one of those dresses that I keep on saying “I should wear that” but then I try to put an outfit together and I don’t end up loving it. When I got this purple cardigan I immediately knew I was going to wear it with a ton of outfits. So this black and white dress finally got use as the purple added just the right touch.

What I’m Wearing:
Cardigan: Marc by Marc Jacobs
Dress: Ebay
Tights: Hue
Shoes: Jimmy Choo

I love wearing dresses like this with a little bit of a poof in the skirt, it reminds me when I was a little girl and my mom always put me in dresses like this and I would twirl and twirl in it until I was dizzy. One of the questions I got on formspring asked me how I dressed now that I work from home. Well, this is pretty much it. I don’t dress any different than I did before! I find that if I stay in yoga pants and no makeup during the day, I get lazy and feel tired. So, just like I did before, I wake up, do my hair, makeup and get dressed and then start my work day. It actually helps keep me really productive. Plus, I spend a lot of time on conference calls and even though the people on the other side can’t see me, I’d feel really weird talking business dressed in my loungewear.

My Miu Mui’s and Louboutins have seemed to replace most of my Jimmy Choos but I put these on and remembered just how much I love them. I will need to remember to wear them out more often!

This little striped dress is SO cute. Love the pockets too. And this one? Kate Spade, you kill me! Adorable.

Marc By Marc Jacobs Wushishi Diamond Cardigan

This one is a bit more similar in color. Oooh or how about this ruffle one?

Hue Tights

I might try this dress with polka dot tights too.

Giuseppe Zanotti black patent croc detail platform pumps
These are actually very similar to the ones I’m wearing except mine are closed toe.

These ones are very YSL-like at a fraction of the price. And check these out for only $60!

So true about dressing in business attire (or just lounge wear!) when you work from home! I find that I'm SO much more focused when I look put together, even if no one else is around to see me!

You're an inspiration! I should dress up more when I work from home. I'm definitely in the comfort wear mode, but then it gets to be such a rush when I do have to leave for a meeting or an event, so if I was already dressed for the day, it wouldn't be such a hassle!
