What I’m Currently… 1st edition!

I always read two books at once. I read one “chick lit” book and one more serious book. I always love Sophie Kinsella books for an easy read and I know this book has been out for a bit but I never got around to reading it so thought now would be a good time. Nina recommended Water For Elephants and I’m really enjoying it so far. Oh and I read all my books on the Nook now and I love it! If you are thinking about getting an e-reader I totally recommend it. It’s the best for people that love to read in bed and/or travel a lot, which is me. ๐Ÿ™‚ Also, I just finished reading Heroic Measures and if you are a dachshund owner/lover it’s a must read. It’s a story of an elderly couple that have a little dachshund and the chapters written from the dog’s point of view are so sweet. I felt like it was exactly how a dachshund would think if we could read their thoughts!

Ramen! Ooh I love ramen. If you’ve never had real actual ramen (sorry Top Ramen does not count) you are missing out! I love making my own version and it is one of those dishes that I make when I don’t feel like doing a lot of cooking. So easy and so yummy. I make my own recipe up but it’s similar to this one except for I also make soy sauce eggs to add to the dish.

M.A.C Viva Glam Lipstick

M.A.C Lipstick

I’ve been mostly a lipgloss girl for so long that all the lipsticks that I had were from so long ago that I just didn’t feel comfortable using them anymore. I threw a bunch away and then stopped by the M.A.C counter while at Nordstrom and got two colors that I love. Viva Glam V which is a pretty nude color with a hint of sparkle. I love it because it’s like lipstick with lipgloss built in but no extra stickiness! The second is a matte pink called Please Me and I love just how matte it is. It looks great on it’s own or with a bit of gloss on top of it. I rarely do matte lipstick so am enjoying the change.

I love this album. It’s just fun upbeat music that makes you want to dance and sing along even if you don’t know all the words to it. I’ve added a few tracks to my ipod that I use for the gym and I get so pumped when “Bulletproof” comes on. (Weird fact about me, I have separate iPods for different purposes. I have 3 – one for gym, one for travel, one for home – and have different music/podcasts on them.)

Made Her Think Double Talon Knuckle Buster Ring

Made Her Think Pendulum Ring

Made Her Think Knuckle Buster Ring with Pyramid Totem

Made Her Think Spike Rhinestone Ring

I want every single ring from Made Her Think. Just love this jewelry line. I haven’t yet ordered anything yet because every time I go to the site, I add everything in my cart and then I think “I can’t buy everything.” So then try to figure out which ones to not buy and then I can’t choose. So I’m still trying decide what to buy!

via Hello Sweet!

One of my sweet readers (literally sweet!) sent me these awesome lollicakes that she bakes herself! When they arrived, I tore the box open and chomped 3 down immediately and man, they are so so yummy! Super moist cake and the chocolate coating is beyond delicious. I’m so impressed by her talents as I’ve tried making these before and I know firsthand how hard they are to make and to make them look good! You have to check out the couture Louboutin lollicakes that she made. Seriously wow! Jean – thank you so much for thinking of me, you are the best! If you need some yummy treats for your party or just because, make sure to contact Hello Sweet! on her facebook page or on twitter!

I hope you like my “What I’m Currently” post! It was fun putting this together, I’m going to try to do it every once in awhile I think it will be fun to look back on and see what I was doing at this time. So tell me, what are YOU currently reading/listening/cooking? I love suggestions and recommendations!

LOVE Sophie Kinsella books! Undomestic Goddess is the only one that didn't keep me reading for hours on end. I've actually been thinking about starting it over since I stopped reading it.

    Love Sophie K too, I borrowed a
Confessions of a Shopaholic audio book from the library and LOVED it- the reader was fantastic. I read a few books at once too, sometimes the serious theme isn't what I need at that moment. Those lollicakes look amazing!

I also love Sophie Kinsella's book!! I first discovered her "confession of a shopaholic" several years ago(long before the movie!) and became one of her fan ever since! I've read all her books so far. I love her sense of humor and those witty cute lines… "Can you keep a secret?" is also a good one, you should check it out if you haven't read it ๐Ÿ™‚
