Blazer: Hinge
T-shirt: J. Crew
Jeans: Citizens of Humanity
Shoes: Christian Louboutin (close up here)
Necklace: Forever 21

My process for the big bun:
- Curl hair. It doesn't have to be nicely curled, just enough to add texture to your hair.
- Pull your hair back to a high point of your head and secure with a rubber band
- Tug at the base of the ponytail to create a "loose" look. Basically not so slicked back to your head
- Start wrapping the hair around the base and secure with a bobby pin at one side
- As you twist the bun, start pulling out pieces so that it looks a bit messy
- Bobby pin the opposite side of your first bobby pin
- Add bobby pin to the front (or wherever you need it) to keep it all secure
- Pull out your front layers to frame your face
- Easy peasy big bun is done!

I've been loving boyfriend blazers but I think cropped blazers are my new favorite thing. Isn't this gray one too cute? Or instead of a blazer, this sequin crop jacket is fab too!
You know I love my J. Crew tees. I have one drawer just dedicated to J. Crew tees. I just love how soft they are! Love this one too that is a bit less fitted. Adore this corsage tee too (and on sale!)
You really can't go wrong with dark straight legged jeans. I think they look good on any body type. Love the really dark jeans. And straight leg jeans are great too because you can cuff them like these and they give you a whole new look!
I have to say that I love the Feticha as the shape is really nice but they really aren't the most comfortable. (But not many Loubies are)
Check out these pumps with the bow on it. Adorable! I think these Marc by Marc Jacobs pumps are perfect every day shoes.
Fun colorful options too!

Haha it's not that bad. I have done worse. I love your hair!

I only own one pair of Loubs, but I actually find them really comfy (granted they are open toed) -- I even wore them to my wedding and danced for hours!

Aww, you look cute! And I love your hair. And can I just say that I'm happy to know I'm not the only one with that little stomach bump problem? There are times where I look at OOTD pics I take and it's like holy cow- my little buddha belly is just screaming out to the world. It's why I actually tend to really layer things up to detract away from it- especially if I don't feel like wearing Spanx. Meh.
ReplyDeletecute look! so simple, but it's classic. I love your hair too! I am too lazy to style mine.. always just leave it straight down.. One day I'll learn to style it!
ReplyDeleteI love this look on you. Even if we don't buy your exact pieces I'm sure we can find similar items/styles easily. That's why I love your blog so much you break it down and make it easy to bring clothing together that can be high end or affordable. Keep it coming :)
ReplyDeleteI hate the jeans belly bump thing, too. You know what I use on my jeans? :) An invisabelt. http://www.invisibelt.com/
ReplyDeleteI love it cause it holds down the little flappy deal where the jeans button. It's my biggest pet peeve. :P
Haha. I love this post, because I have done the same thing. I have posted outfits because either my hair or makeup turned out amazing. It must be a girl thing.
ReplyDeleteI'm rocking the 2nd day hair too but it doesn't look nearly as good as your bun!
ReplyDeleteI've yet to buy a pair of Loubs but I keep hearing that they're uncomfortable! What is your favorite high-end brand that makes comfortable heels?
Blazer is amazing!
ReplyDeleteGirl... you could never be "lumpy"! :) You look chic as always.. and I love the hair! The necklace is sweet, but I have sworn off F21 necklaces for a while.. the last one I bought turned my neck green. :( boo!! and it was a sweet anchor necklace too! Happy Friday & Happy Weekend. Yay!
