This Lanvin tote is adorable but the price makes me cringe. The J Crew tote is just as cute and affordable!
I can not get over the Alexander Wang bags. I adore all his designs. These drawstring/bucket bags are totally "in" right now which is great but I don't like to spend a lot of money for trends that may just last a year or two. The Banana Republic bag is not as fab but the price definitely is!
Another fabulous A. Wang bag that I want but the cheaper version at $40 is fab too!
These two look so alike it's almost like somebody straight up copied the other. But either way, I love these wedges and if you don't mind not having the Miu Miu version you'll save $480!
I adore these Valentino bow sandals. Nine West did a pretty darn good job too!
Admittedly the Loriblu ones aren't "cheap" they are still less expensive than the Fendi pumps.
Christian Louboutin Lady Page vs Steve Madden Trose Pump
After I posted my Miu Miu pumps, I got so many emails asking about them and if they were still available. Unfortunately, I got these on sale at the end of the last season so they are no longer available, but..

Look what I found! So similar right?! And they come in a few different colors.
Lots of fun "inspirational" fashion out there! Do you mind the inspirational pieces or would you rather get the real thing? Personally, I like to save up for the real thing but if I want a quick fix, I think the inspirational pieces are great to have!

What great finds Tiff!! I actually love J Crew, but have yet to buy one of their handbags..I think you've convinced me, doll ;-) XO
ReplyDeletei love that Lanvin tote. very sophisticated :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome job, these are wonderful finds! Im loving the first purse by JCrew, have to check it out!
ReplyDeleteI love that J.Crew bag, it's so cute! I may just have to get it!

ReplyDeleteExceptfor the Miu Miu's and the Fendis I think I prefer each knockoff, will have to start shopping!

OMG those Nydia39 Pleated Pumps and those Rose Gold wedges!!! WOW! I think I need those both! Those Miu Miu wedges have been on my wish list for some time now, that is a GREAT look for less! Thank you for posting.
ReplyDeleteAlso thank you for becoming a follower on my blog, that made my day! xoxo
Wow! The Rosegold looks almost identical to the Miu Miu's and the Nydia's shockingly similar too (but you can tell the difference in the suede and curve lines).
ReplyDeleteI personally don't like to buy knock-offs knowingly for shoes/bags. But I may consider it if it's a design that is super trendy that would be gone in the flash of a pan. Even that though, I just have a hard time with cheaper shoes and comfort.
I love that J Crew lookalike! Super cute!

LOVE all the heels! They're amazing. :) Wow. Nice blog too.
ReplyDeleteXoxo.
This is an AMAZING post! Love it. Smitten with the brown Miu Miu wedges. They just do it for me over the others, unfortunately. I am, however, totally into a good lookalike! I have two pairs of platforms from Bakers that I've destroyed from wearing them out, and I'm glad I didn't pay the $800 for the YSL's they look *identical* to! xxSAS

You have been busy, missy! Great work, T.
ReplyDeleteLots of finds and they are all sooo similar - which is awesome.
This proves you don't have to spend a fortune to look like a million bucks.

You found some great pieces - so close to the higher end versions! Perfect solution for when you don't want to spend as much money.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving that J.Crew bag. Great find!
ReplyDeleteFor classic styles, I like to save up for the real thing! For trendy pieces that I'll probably grow tired of, I'm okay with the "inspirational" pieces. :)
ReplyDeleteThis was a fun post.
ReplyDeleteYou did a really good job at finding these items.
i love these posts!!! but what's inspirational is that you have the time to find these "same but different" pieces for your readers when you're so dang busy!!! thanks for these and hope you're having fun in jamaica! :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE these types of posts. And I actually prefer the J. Crew Tote over the Lanvin - the color is heaven! And I've been obsessed with those Rosegold Casey Knot Wedge Sandals for ages - even featured them on a Thrifty Thursday of mine a few weeks back!
ReplyDeleteLooks for less are always irresistible!! :)
Oh I love the bow bag (JCrew!) and the Fendi shoes... those are to die for :)
ReplyDeleteGirl, you are good! I love that JCrew bag.
ReplyDeletei'm dying for a bucket bag..especially that a.wang one but my bank account is dissipating so the banana is a great alternative!
ReplyDeletei love everyt bargain you posted up here !

I love these kind of posts and you found some awesome look-alikes! It depends on the item, if it's a bag then yes I would rather save up than buy a cheaper version, but if it's shoes I'm more likely to buy cheaper b/c I figure they are more likely to get dirty and I would cry if I got $500 shoes dirty lol

ReplyDeleteThis is a really great post (and a great blog BTW -- you are an amazingly talented photographer!) To be honest, I wholeheartedly agree with you and prefer to spend more but get the real deal. The Alexander Wang hobo is one of my faves :)

hello! I love these kinds of posts. some are better than others at copying like those wedges but they are all fabulous ideas and they save you BIG TIME. :)
ReplyDeleteI should never have come to your blog. Because now I'm absolutely obsessed with the black Alexander Wang bucket bag!!! Fck!! So hot. al;sejr;laejsr;lakejrle
ReplyDeleteI love these types of posts, thanks for doing all of the groundwork! I generally find myself gravitating towards overly expensive items, and now that I have instituted a budget, I need ways to satisfy my desire to have nice things without worrying about the cost!
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for visiting my blog!

Only thing unfortunate about the J Crew bag is the color is TOTALLY different in real life and therefore it was extremely disappointing. I wanted that creamy/pink and it is very pinky-brown..like a Fall color, really. The style was nice-more flat profile, the leather was nice and fit for the price (plus you will always be able to get it on sale there;) But you might want to make a big FYI on that color..so sad=/
