Lookbook: Striped Suprise

I discovered Martin & Osa a bit too late as they are currently in the process of closing all their stores but I got this cardigan about a month ago and I love it. It’s just the right length and it’s really great to toss over most outfits and it’s just what this outfit needed.

What I’m Wearing:
Cardigan: Martin & Osa
Tee: J. Crew
Jean leggings: Vince
Shoes: Gucci
Necklaces: J. Crew and DIY

These are the leggings that I bought from my shopping post. They are in one word, awesome. Definitely recommend these if you are looking for denim leggings. The one thing that I hate about cheap leggings is that they stretch too much and then suddenly you’re wearing baggy leggings. Um, not cute. But these Vince ones are such good quality. They have just enough stretch to them but they won’t get too stretchy. They are pricey but I definitely am one who’s willing to pay for quality, especially for something that needs to fit right. Leggings, let alone denim leggings are one of those things where fit is just too important to ignore. You can’t have them too tight or too loose. You want them to accentuate your legs but not make them the focal point, (and make them look like sausages which can happen if your leggings are too tight) especially if you are self conscious about your legs. I do like my legs but I also don’t want people to be just looking at my legs.

I like the combo of the navy and the bright blue on this cardigan. And look at the surprise on the back. Stripes! Cute, right?

I love their cardigans and M+O stuff in general, but I'm not surprised they're closing. They used to have free shipping both ways at any purchase amount and really deep discounts but in the last year they rarely discount anything. I used to get cashmere sweaters for under $20! But still, sad they're closing because they have cute stuff and it's nice having an alternative to BR/JCrew/etc.

Love the cardi – so cute! Love the jean leggings too. Between the fabric and the fit, they look (at least in pictures) like really well tailored pants which I think is a great look.

Great outfit! I still need to try denim leggings- I want to be lazy and order them online, but I know I'll need to try them on and see them in person. The problem is, my legs are sooo short…and leggings/skinny jeans always seem to accentuate it even more. But I like them on everyone else. *cries*

I'm bummed about Martin + Osa closing- I love their cardigans too. But at the same time…no one knew about Martin + Osa. American Eagle did an awful job with the marketing, and with the economy being even awful-er-er, it was bound to happen.

Tut tut, AE. Tut tut. *stomps foot*

Tiffany-I tried to comment earlier, but work blockages weren't letting me! ANYWAYS, here I am!

What a great cardi – bummer they are closing their stores – hate when that happens!

OMG, THOSE are the jeggings?! WOW! They look soooooo good (not that they didn't in the previous pic when you were shopping, but wow!). I love the panelling, and you can see it quite well in the natural light. SCORE.
