Lookbook: Vintage Gucci

I heart all you readers and truly appreciate your feedback and I’ve been getting emails about wanting to see more lookbooks. I hear ya because I love seeing other bloggers looks so I know that it’s the most interesting part of being a “fashion blogger” (Can I say right now that I feel like less of a “fashion blogger” these days and more of a “lifestyle blogger”? I just like that term better. hehe.) Anyway, my lack of lookbooks lately is only because I’m traveling so much. When I’m at home, I try to make time for a lookbook but I don’t ever do “fake” lookbooks, meaning I always wear that outfit for the day. I’ve thought about doing some quick changes at one time to get 2 or 3 lookbooks prepared but… I just can’t. Once an outfits on, it’s on. I don’t feel like changing! Anyway, I got in some lookbooks before leaving for Jamaica so I’ve got 3 lookbooks this week!

What I’m Wearing:
Cardigan: J. Crew (it’s my husband’s)
Tunic: C&C California
Skirt: Aritzia
Tights: Nordstrom
Shoes: Christian Louboutin
Necklace: LOFT
Clutch: Vintage Gucci

I had just the tunic and skirt on previously with another cardigan but I just felt so, exposed… I guess I get too self conscious with outfits that are too tight or too short so I was complaining that I didn’t have something to cover me up with when my husband offered me his cardigan. It was a good mix of the too tight/too short and the baggy-ness of the cardigan!

I recently had a friend introduce me to antique shopping at those big antique malls that are really just mazes of millions and millions of old things. But DANG! it’s so interesting. I love perusing the old things and imagining where it came from. I stumbled upon this gorgeous vintage Gucci clutch and I had to have it. The card that came with it said that it had been authenticated as a Gucci clutch from the 1960’s and I thought that was pretty dang awesome! Hubs and I spent about 2 hours at the antique place that I bought this clutch from and I’m already looking forward to going back and seeing what else I can find.

Aww, love that you're wearing your husband's cardigan!

I alwaaaays have to snap my outfits in advance since my daily schedule varies so much day to day, week to week- sometimes I have lots of time on my hands, others (like lately!) I'm running out the door and would never get anything done on the blog for weeks! Props to you, though! ♥

that vintage gucci clutch is amazing- love it. I love vintage gucci pieces in general though- I have a great satchel from the 60's and I love it to pieces and its so much sturdier than any newer gucci pieces I own.

For some reason, I find Etsy so much harder to search than eBay.

WendyB – I agree, they need to have a better search function.

Kimberly – Thank you! I got it at one of those jewelry shows that they only have once every few months, with a ton of jewelry vendors. Unfortunately the owner doesn't sell online or even has a store, only at these jewelry shows.

Love your outfit! Your hubby's cardigan is quite cute with those polka-dot tights! And your vintage Gucci? All I can say is *drool* My only worry about searching out vintage pieces like that on Etsy or eBay is the potential for fakes – how do you sniff out the real from the scams?
