It’s okay though, it wasn’t so bad when I got to look out at this view…
This was our 3rd time in Negril but our first time staying at Catcha Falling Star, which was right next to Tensing Pen, where the wedding we were photographing was taking place (and also where J and I got married at!)
These are the only pair of flip flops I own. They are from J. Crew last year. I couldn’t resist the pink flower and jelly shoes just bring me back to my childhood!
It was so incredibly hot the week we were there (we were told from the Jamaicans that it was unusually hot for that time of the year) so I spent quite a bit of time in this pool to try and cool down.
Had to sneak in a non-iPhone pic in here as I had to show you how neat the property was with all the little areas that you could lay out on. On that lower part, you can’t see it but they have built in beds in the little cave part.
You can’t beat the sunsets in Jamaica. If you go to Negril, don’t stay in any of those all-inclusive mega resorts. You have to stay on the cliffs in order to get a view like this. It’s just amazing to see in person.
(this was not edited! picture straight from the iPhone)
J and I enjoying lunch at Rockhouse hotel
Our frozen limeades. Much needed in the hot weather!
Leaving Jamaica with a rum cake and a chicken curry pattie.
After we left Jamaica, I once again left my husband at home for a work trip. I had a 6am flight meaning I had to wake up at 4am but guess what? I was so tired from the travel before that I woke up kinda late and we rushed to get to the airport.
I RAN through the airport, I mean RAN as fast as my feet would carry me in these little flats. I barely made the flight and was the last one on.
The city I was in this time is one of those cities that doesn’t get dark until way way late. I was going to bed at 11pm when I took this picture. Crazy how much light out it still was!
Picture texts from the hubs always keep me from getting too homesick when I travel for work. Awww… I love my Macho man.
Like I said before, I love love taking pictures on the plane. The view is so pretty! These mountains that we passed over were too amazing.
Landed! Home Sweet Home.
When I got home, I had a craving for a burger and not just any burger, the yummy delicious one from Palace Kitchen. Oooh yummy. Tom Douglas can do no wrong in my book. If you are visiting Seattle and need a restaurant recommendation, try any of his restaurants!
Ever since I started traveling like crazy, I’ve been doing less and less in-store shopping and way more online shopping. Every time I come home, I have a stack of packages waiting for me. A little preview of a lookbook to come but this dress was in one of the packages and it is my favorite ever. The ruffles are just so so cute.
So, I actually have a few days at home this week which I’m super excited about. I’m taking advantage of it and taking care of a few things like getting my hair cut and if you follow me on twitter, you’ve already heard but I got eyelash extensions! Here’s a preview pic and will do a full post of the process and a review soon!
Hope you all have a good week!
(if you are wondering, I didn’t cram all that in one week, these pictures span about 2 weeks)
