My mother in law makes the best sugar cookies with a recipe that I think was created by her mom. They are hands down my favorite cookies ever. Since she lives so far away, we either have to wait until we take the trip to visit J's parents or for her to send them in the mail to us (I love cookie packages!) so we don't get to eat them that often. She had given me the recipe awhile ago so I finally decided to make them myself. My first attempt (last year) was a major fail but I'm back in the baking mood and on my 2nd try (a few months ago) they were DELISH! I made them again recently, but I can't make these too often because if I do I'd be as big as a whale as I just want to eat all of them in one sitting. They are so hard to resist! And the frosting! Oh, nothing is better than this frosting... and no matter the season, I always make the frosting pink.
*I didn't ask for her permission to post the recipe so I can't share it but if she gives me permission I will post it. It could take me awhile to get back to you though, because it's all written on a recipe card so I'd have to type it all up!
UPDATE: She's okay with me sharing the recipe so I will post it up and let you all know when I do! I'm traveling right now so will have to wait until I get home. Thanks all for the emails!
