I think that the "menswear" kind of vests look best with the girly dresses
Forever21 Satin Lapel Extended Vest
I'm loving this long vest with the satin lapel too. Would be cute paired with jeans!

Miu Miu Suede Mary Jane Pumps
I loooove these mary jane pumps.
Steve Madden 'Darrina' Pump
But for under $100, these are cute too!

the vest makes the outfit! i would have never thought to pair the two together but i love it!

Very cute dress ...I wonder though how short it would look on those who are taller than us!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great look! And an adorable dress! Love seeing how you styled this one.
ReplyDeleteThat red belt really makes it!
ReplyDeleteVery cute styling! Looks like my Anthro Aniseed skirt. And I LOVE those Miu Miu MJ's you posted!

So cute! That red belt totally pulls it all together! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the entire look! You sure look bananas! Another great inspiration look to add to my files!
ReplyDeleteGreat dress. I love how you styled it. I have the skirt version. =) I missed out on that vest, but I do have something similar, probably didn't need it anyway.
ReplyDeleteThat is a seriously cute dress! Your hair looks great as always!
ReplyDeleteThe moving picture is so cute.
ReplyDeleteI like how you are pairing the vest.
Can't wait to see what else you do with it!

I don't even own a vest (yet) but I absolutely ADORE this look and will NOT get tired of it! You look fantastic! I love the bright pop of red and that dress is incredible. Seriously.
ReplyDeleteI adore this look and your animation at the end LOL. Love the new look to the blog too. Guess it's been while since I visited? It looks much cleaner. Great job!
ReplyDeletei love the dress! it looks great on you and the bubble hem is so cute.
ReplyDeletei used to live in Vancouver (I'm settled in Seattle now) and it's GORGEOUS up there! Definitely stop by Stanley Park and Granville Island. They've both great places to see on nice weathered days.
I love this look on you! The bubble hem is so cute and fun:)
ReplyDeleteLove this look :)
ReplyDeleteSome great places to check out while in Van:
- Ambleside Park
- Queen Elizabeth Park (most people take wedding pictures here)
- Anywhere along the seawall is nice or the Olympic Village
- regular tourist-y spots: Capilano Suspension bridge, Vancouver Aquarium, Vancouver Art Gallery, etc.
- Some of my fav restaurants: Medina Cafe (for waffles! they have this amazing white chocolate pistachio topping and lavender latte), Hapa Izakaya for Japanese tapas and drinks, the Eatery is a really funky Japanese restaurant
Enjoy your visit :)
Love this look! I live in Vancouver, BC and Stanley Park is great for visitors. There is an awesome view of the mountains along our seawall, huge totem poles and just beautiful scenery. Plus you drive thru downtown for some shopping!
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit!
ReplyDeleteAdorable look. And I love the new design.
ReplyDeleteThat dress is adorable! Love the vest and red belt combo!

Tiffany, you look great! That dress was made for you and I love how you added the vest. The heels are to die for! I really should invest in a good pair of pumps/heels, but the hefty price tag scares me! hee hee. Hopefully one day. My feet deserve them. :) Hope your week is off to a great start.

I am a Vancouverite currently living in Melbourne Australia.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely visit Stanley Park for photos and UBC's Nitobe Gardens and Pacific Spirit Park for photos. SP is the most touristy and gorgeous, but I think the UBC gardens are a hidden gem most people don't bother to explore.
Gastown is adorable and 'old-world' with some amazing restaurants (visit the Diamond for the best cocktails you'll find in the city. You'll have to ask a local though it's easy to miss).
Granville Island is a great market but I've never been to Pike Place so I'm not sure how it compares.
Yaletown is trendy but fun with some good restaurants too.
Any other questions let me know, I'm more than happy to help.
Teresa, Teresa and Caz - thank you so much for your recommendations! Am making my list and adding your suggestions.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful outfit!

I'm from Vancouver!! :]
ReplyDeleteIf you are looking for a park, go to Stanley park :] It's the place everyone goes to during the summer to bike or rollerblade around the seawall or just to go for a leisurely stroll.
If you are looking for something interesting to do, we have a summer night market on now in Richmond where you an get some great street food or do some shopping for random things (ie. home stuff, nail stuff, jewellry etc). They are open Fri-Sun & holidays from around 7 to 1 am (depending on the day0
Here's their website: http://www.summernightmarket.com/main/default.asp
And if you are looking for a place to eat, I'd highly recommend going to Chambar in downtown Vancouver. This mushroom starter/appetizer & their pomme fritz are AWESOME.
So cute! Reminds me of that Anthro skirt...forget the name. And umm love the new look of the blog!!
ReplyDeletelove how you've belted on the vest, the red belt adds a cute pop of colour and the vest brings in some structured shape, love it!
ReplyDeletethat dress is fab! come follow me xoxo
ReplyDeletethis alainn bella dress looks amazing on you! i was hesitant about how it looked on the model but you pull it off amazingly!
ReplyDeleteHonestly, this is so adorable. I never tell you enough, but I have such envy of your shoe collection. :)

ReplyDeletesteph - thanks for your suggestions. The night market sounds like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteKelsey - thanks for letting me know! Megan fixed it so it should work now.
ReplyDeleteSuch an adorable outfit! I love the pop of color with that belt.
ReplyDeleteI'm from Vancouver!! When are you coming? I would say visit the Richmond night market, as well as walk along the sea wall in Stanley Park. Also you must eat the famous Japa dogs on Burrard and Smithe as well as visit the Asian food court in Aberdeen mall (try the Beard Papa cream puffs!). For shopping, check out Holt Renfrew downtown and of course all our Aritzia stores ;)
