It's the little things

Thanks for all your sweet comments/messages yesterday!  You all know how to cheer a girl up.  It's really nothing too dramatic but it does affect me and my job which is not the best feeling in the world but hey, do what you gotta do right?  (I'm not losing my job or anything but just a lot sh*t that's going down right now).

Since I've been traveling for the past four weeks I was in desperate need of some pampering time.  I specifically scheduled it so that I wouldn't have to travel this week, so last week I scheduled all my beauty treatments for Monday and Tuesday.  I got a facial, massage, lash refill (hello full lashes! I love them.) and a haircut.  Then I did my own mani and pedi and now feel like I'm all shiny and new!  I seriously feel so much better.  I was talking to a co-worker who I was traveling with and telling her just how excited I was to get my haircut and that it was just the little things that can make me so happy and she totally agreed.

Do you guys feel the same?  What is your "little thing" that can make you happy when you're down or stressed?

My usual stress relievers (Macho and Savvy) are visiting their grandparents and are not coming back until Saturday so I've been doggy-less for a few weeks now.  I'm super excited to see them!  And my in-laws of course :)

 

My little stress buster, Savvy.  I love putting bows on her.  I found this ribbon and fashioned a bow headband for her.  She doesn't mind, she gets a treat every time her silly mom puts her in a ridiculous outfit or headband :)

This gel liner has been the best gel liner I've used and trust me, I've tried out a lot!  I'm loving this blue.  It's really blue in the container but comes out more of a pretty dark royal blue.  It lasts all day and goes on really well.

The perfect fall nail colors!  I love Essie's newest collection and can't wait to wear all of the colors this fall.

 

I finally got my hands on the coveted Naked Palette!  I put my name on the waiting list and when I got the email that it was back in stock I ordered it within 2 seconds of getting the email!

My other Revas are still wearable but looking a bit old so I treated myself to a new pair and got these navy ones.  Out of all my flats, even my more expensive ones from Louboutin and Prada, these are still the most comfortable!

Cupcakes!  Guess what? It's my birthday tomorrow!!  I'm really not a "big" birthday person and like to have multiple low key dinners throughout the week rather than one big blowout party but something that I can not live without on my birthday is some kind of cake and this year I chose Cupcake Royale, my favorite cupcakes in Seattle!  So yummy!  Their special flavor of the month is Blue Mountain Huckleberry.  It looks so good, I can't wait to try it!
