This is the infamous lace top that has made the rounds onto many a bloggers lookbooks. I do have to say it is fabulous and probably the best thing Forever 21 has come out with! Most of the bloggers that I’ve seen have the short version but mine is the tunic/mini dress version, last seen on me here. I was kind of wishing that I had the shorter version as the longer version is a bit harder to work with but then DUH! I figured I could just shorten it by tucking it in so I could wear it with my hot pink shorts.
What I’m Wearing:
Top: Forever 21
Shorts: J. Crew
Shoes: Miu Miu
Ring: YSL
Bracelets: Forever 21 & J. Crew
Nail Polish: Eyeko Coral
Please ignore the wrinkles on the shorts as I had been siting most of the day and when I stood up the wrinkles were permanently embedded. LOL! I saw my parents for dinner that night and my mom said “Aren’t those shorts a little short for the office?!” And I had to remind her that I work from home so I can wear whatever I want, then she said “Oh, well it’s a great outfit then!” haha, gotta love my mom.
For those of you that guessed from this post, I did end up getting the pink version of the YSL ring as well when I was visiting NYC. I heart these rings, don’t be surprised if I buy another color! (Also, I do realize I still need to post the recipe to the sugar cookies, I hope to get to that soon! Thanks for your patience.)
Just a mishmash of bracelets that you can usually find me sporting. I have a huge bangle collection and then just mix and match a bunch of them. I particularly like the pink bangles!

I am in love with lace for the fall. So many cute lace tops, I couldn’t pick just one to show you guys.
Imperfect Concepts
Imperfect Concepts has these Miu Miu’s that are pretty darn close match to mine. If you are a size 6 go snap these up! At $150, they are a bargain to what I paid for mine!
She has a great selection of other designer items so go check out her store. And, if you use the code “iamstyleish” you’ll get a 15% discount off your order!
If you are wondering about sizing, both of my rings are a size 5 because I wanted to wear it on my ring finger rather on my pointer or middle finger which is what I think most people do. It’s a pretty heavy ring so those fingers might work best for most people but on me, I didn’t really like it on those fingers. To give you reference, I have pretty small fingers, I usually wear a size 4 (my engagement ring is a 3.5) so definitely size up for this ring.
**I’m going to Washington DC for the first time! I would love recommendations on restaurants and other fun stuff that’s not on the usual touristy list although we’ll be trying to hit those up as well. I will be there for work but will be trying to spend lots of time playing too!**

i hope you enjoy DC… this weekend's got perfect weather for everyone! I know it's gonna be crazy with everyone milling about! enjoy the free museums! enjoy the sights! i'm glad I'm from DC! because i think this city has so much to offer!
Ok I have a problem..LOL…I have the lace shirt from Michael Korrs but I do not have the hot pink shorts I have them in black but I think I can twist this look by rocking some hot pic gladiators that I have :). You look fabulous like always and sure are a true inspiration. You have no idea how many looks I have re-create thanks to your looks!
Great F21 find! I love that YSL ring so much, I keep putting off getting one thinking that it'll pass but nope, it's been months and I'm still obsessed! Now I'm just mad I don't have it yet haha.
I'm from MD rarely go into DC cuz I hate city driving but last weekend I went down to check out Newseum, great museum. It's less than 20 bucks to get in. Check out the website, I would like to hit up Crime and Punishment museum. The air and space musuem is another favorite. I heard Good Stuff Eatery burgers are awesome, it's owned by Spike from Top Chef. Famous for Toasted Marshmallow shake, I went there on a Sunday it was closed. You'll have to report back! If you came in the summer time I'd suggest getting crabs and hitting up annapolis, it's gorgeous there.
you should check out the Pentagon City Mall and the Tyson Corner Mall. both are HUGE malls and have many great shops, including Nordstrom, in them. The Smithsonian National Museum of American History is also really cool. I hope you have fun there!
I have the same shirt, but I didn't know Forever 21 carried it. I purchased mine from Charlotte Russe…perhaps the longer tunic is from F21 and the shorter version from Charlotte Russe 🙂 Mystery solved!
Food: Zaytinya for Mediterranean, Rasika for Indian, Oval Room for New American. Oya doesn't have as good of food in my opinion but the ambiance is great. Sei has pretty good/interesting sushi.
Shopping: If you have a car, go out to Tyson's Corner. There are two, and the nicer one has some fabulous stores. Also, check out Georgetown…there are some cute boutiques on Wisconsin like Urban Chic. And a store called Lettie Gooch at 1517 U St NW which has some fun accessories.
Sights: Definitely do the Newseum. I spent tw o days there and it's great. The 9/11 exhibit got everyone pretty emotional. If you want to go running, I'd suggest running through Rock Creek Park.
Loving the way you are wearing white lace, especially the 3/4 sleeves. It is a difficult combo to get right cos often it can look a bit cheap or slutty! But you've done an awesome job cos it looks fab.
I live/work in DC and have lived here my whole life. You simply can NOT come to the city without going to BLT Steak (best steak house ever… IMO), checking out the fab shopping/decor in Georgetown (obviously!), and having a martini at the famous Ebbitt's Grill where all the politicians and presidents go (supposedly). I would also definitely recommend going to the top of the Old Post Office building… I believe it's free and it gives you a bird's eye view of all of downtown. I hope you enjoy our city!
Restaurants: – Teaism: a great modern take on a Japanese teahouse with great bento box lunches and really good Mochi, they are located all over the city so check their website – Ray's the Steaks: the ultimate steakhouse locals will tell you is even better than Ruth Chris and I can't argue with that by a longshot. It's got some interesting quirky details about it as far as a dining experience but the food and cuts of steaks are amazing if you into that at all. There are two locations and they don't have a website or take reservations because they don't need to. – Mie N Yu – food is good and the setting (inside and out) is very fun. It's in Georgetown.
Also, don't miss out on Dupont Circle! It's great for people watching and has a lot of really cool art galleries that are hidden all about.
