What I’m Wearing
Dress: from Target
Bandeau: Forever 21
Sandals: Franco Sarto
Xhilaration Juniors Smocked Back Maxi Dress
I got mine last summer but check out this one for only $8!
This one looks really short on the model so may be ankle length for shorties like me!
Loving the print of this one!
I have a whole collection of bandeau bras to wear under strapless dresses. As long as you’re not planning on running they provide great support too!
Annette Swappers Reversible Bandeau Bra
I like to get different colors to add an accent to what I’m wearing. This one is even reversible so you get two colors in one.
Hanky Panky Lace Bandeau
I have a few lace ones that I like to wear underneath tops that are too low cut. It’s so much better than worrying about flashing someone!
Newport News
or you could go for one that’s more like a real bra and probably provides a bit better support than those fashion-y ones above.
Sam Edelman ‘Gigi’ Sandal
I think maxi dresses look best when worn with flats. Wedges can work as well but I’m not a big fan of wedges so I go for the flat sandals. I really like these ones that are very simple but comfortable. I shoot a lot of destination weddings wearing sandals similar to these!

Sigh, why don't we have Target in Denmark?
I hope everything is ok with the baby!

October 18, 2010 at 12:15 pmAdding a bandeau underneath is a great idea. I am always afraid of wearing strapless for the same reason. Thanks for the tip!

October 18, 2010 at 2:50 pmThat's funny…I have the hardest time finding ones that are long enough AND I got lucky finding one in the Spring at Target. It was great for cruising/swim suit cover up.

October 18, 2010 at 5:02 pmGreat idea with the Bandeau top under a strapless dress to prevent slipping. I will have to try that because i have the same problem. Your pictures make me want summer back in Seattle! How do you style your fall fashion wardrobe?

October 19, 2010 at 3:22 amBrilliant! Slippage problems coupled with my lack of height would always steer me away from a dress like that, but it looks stunning on you. The pop of color just completes it. Bravo!
