Lookbook: For the Love of Stripes

You guys saw a peek of this jacket on my December iPhone Pics post which I got at the Madewell sale and it's pretty awesome.  I love the fur lined hood!  My only complaint is that for an XS it's pretty big but I loved it too much to return it.  It's not so bad in the pictures but in person you can tell it's a bit too baggy on me.  Oh well!  My one exception for well tailored clothes is winter coats like this because it does help when I do decide to layer up so I can wear big bulky sweaters and still wear a jacket.  This navy blue top is one of my favorites but I hadn't worn it for a bit.  When I put it on I needed something to go over it because it's short sleeved.  I saw this sweater that has basically been unworn since I bought it and decided to finally wear it by cutting it down the middle to make it into a cardigan!  (I totally learned that technique from Love Maegan and I utilize it a lot!)  I love the contrast of the stripes on stripes with the opposing colors.  Oh and yes, even my scarf has stripes on it!

You know I love my scarves and if you watched my Winter Accessories vlog, you can see how much I love turning regular scarves into infinity scarves but I actually do own quite a few infinity scarves and have even made a couple myself!

 

Vince Breton Striped Dolman Top
I find striped tops everywhere and I always want to buy them.  This Striped Burnout Tee is really cute and different. This Tory Burch top is a bit more pricey but it's really similar to mine.

Forever21 Draped Stripes Cardigan
I LOVE the draped cardigans.  I own so many of them.  This one for $17.80 is so hard to resist!  That's why you gotta love Forever 21!

Or you can't go wrong with this one for $11.50.  And love this one too with the contrasting red stripe. So cute!

Gap Always Skinny Cords
I lurve my Madewell legging cords so much that I almost bought a 2nd pair in each color when I was at the store last.  But I didn't.  However, I've been looking at other skinny cords and these Gap ones look great and they are on sale for a great price!

These look great but may be better suited for people with longer legs.  If you're looking for flat boots, I love these ones.

YSL Arty Ring

I get compliments on this ring every single time I wear it.  From ladies who have no clue who/what YSL is (I always get asked where I bought it from) to the girls in the Chanel boutique going crazy for it, everyone loves it.  It's one of my favorite pieces ever.  Oh and my pink color is finally back in stock as well, you can find it at Saks, or this one at Net-A-Porter looks like the pink is a bit shinier and smoother.  I don't know if it's just the picture or a different cut of the stone but I love it!
