Lookbook: YSL Mary Jane

Finally broke out the new YSL platforms that I got before Christmas!  And yes I’m crazy for not wearing tights but I wanted to show you guys the detail on the pretty shoes and it got lost when I was wearing tights.  At least I took these photos a few weeks ago when it was a bit warmer and not the 30 degree weather that we’ve been having lately!
What I’m Wearing
Top: ASOS
Skirt: from a boutique in Sydney, Australia
Shoes: YSL
Bracelets: Vintage (the big gold one), J Crew (bangles)
Ring: DIY from a vintage earring

I bought the high waisted skirt about 4 years ago on a business trip to Australia and it’s STILL one of my favorite skirts to wear!  (I always fit shopping time in when I go on business trips.  Don’t you? 🙂 )  The shoes, the shoes!  They make me so tall which is such a plus and I love the knot detailing in the front.  BUT they are so tall that they make my foot slide forward so it looks like they are slightly too big on me, I need some foot petals!

ASOS Wrapped Front Ruched Sleeve Blouse

I love the color of this blouse but beware of the cross front as it can be quite revealing!  My last order of ASOS I kind of was terrible about sizes and ordered everything in a size too big so this shirt fits best only when tucked into something.  I think it was because I used to order off of their UK sizing and then they switched to US sizing and then I got confused as to which size I used to order.  Oh well, I didn’t feel like returning anything so I’m making it work.

Hot pink is something I need more of in my wardrobe. How cute is this Tibi top or this Trina Turk wrap top is super similar too!

Elizabeth and James High Waisted Spinning Skirt

I think high waisted skirts are so flattering, I haven’t found one that I don’t like yet.  I’m thinking about getting this draped high waisted skirt. Oh and I adore this striped Kate Spade skirt.

Yves Saint Laurent Tribute sandals

Mine are called the “Tribute Mary Jane” if you are interested in finding them.  They are most likely sold out as they were last season but you may luck out on ebay!  These Alexander Mcqueen Platform Mary Janes are pretty amazing too. Or check out these cute platform mary janes for under $100.

Tomorrow is the last day to enter my giveaway!  Go do it if you haven’t yet!

that top is fantastic! i'm always keeping my eye out for fun blouses . . . does that mean we're getting older?? i never cared about them when i was a teenager or even in my early 20s. maybe it has something to do with working in an office. i'm trying to justify all of my blouse purchases, can you tell?

you look great, as always! maybe a brightly colored pair of tights would work with the shoes, that way you can have warm legs but still see the detailing of the shoes?

    thanks for sharing!

@Richelle Im 6 ft tall and its hard for me to wear heals too. People always stare at me but I like the way heals make my legs look and they help my posture so it sucks that I cant wear them as much as Id like to.

Hi there! I own a pair of YSL tributes and love them! But the straps are a bit loose…do you have recommendations for how to punch extra holes in shoe straps?? I don't trust the nearby cobbler with my designer shoes bc they once messed up straps on heels before.

Also, do you put heel inserts in your Bianca louboutins? I have been experiencing some heel slippage which makes me sad bc they are such beautiful shoes!
