My bangs are so annoying. I got them cut too short thinking that I could deal with them a little short so that I wouldn’t have to get them trimmed as often but now I hate them. I end up pinning them back every day.  If you’re on my facebook or twitter you may have seen my update about my T3 blow dryer that exploded while I was drying my hair.  Scariest thing ever!  While I was blow drying I thought I heard it making a funny noise so I pointed it away from my hair (thank goodness!) because as I did that, the inside of the dryer went “BOOM! BOOM!” a few times and I screamed in fear as I tried to turn it off but the thing wouldn’t turn off and it was still popping and cracking while in my hand.  I screamed the entire time because I didn’t know what to do!  It finally stopped and then I dropped it to the ground and you could hear all the little parts of the motor had shattered inside.  I now call it my very expensive maraca as all it does it make rattling noises now.  I got some fantastic feedback from you guys on facebook on which hair dryer I should buy and did a ton of research on which got the best reviews.  It was hard to decide but I ended up getting the Elchim 2001 from Folica.com and I got it in the mail yesterday and can’t wait to try it out.  I’ll let you guys know how I like it!  BTW, I’m NEVER buying T3 again! I love my T3 curling iron but the hair dryer thing was traumatic.  After that happened, I went online and saw that the same thing happened to a lot of people so I’m warning those of you with a T3 hair dryer that if it starts making a strange noise like you’ve never heard it make before, kind of like a strong buzzing noise, turn it off, put it down and step away before it explodes!

This is my exact blazer but it kind of looks terrible on this mannequin right?  Trust me when I say it looks much better on and in person.  And good for those of  us with short arms that regularly have to roll our sleeves up.  This one has the perfect length sleeves!

The LOFT blazer is great and comes in regular and petite sizes and they are doing 40% off all orders right now!  (And if you use ebates, you’ll get 3% cashback as well) Check out the  T by Alexander Wang Knit Blazer love the unexpected cut out on the back!

Such a pretty color and on sale!
This Forever21 Embroidered Floral Tunic would be cute with this outfit too. Or a striped tunic would look great too. Love the red!

Madewell and Rag & Bone make the best skinnies in my opinion.  Can’t go wrong.  They do run a bit snug though but I don’t recommend sizing up as they do stretch (but not a whole lot so if you are between sizes then probably going a size up is best)

Madewell now has these denim leggings, you know, leggings that look like denim as opposed to jeggings and I’m curious about them. I actually haven’t been to Madewell in about a month (!) so I’m going to try and go soon and try these on and scope out all the new stuff.

You could also get the  Simple Pump 85.  I prefer the Simple 100 pumps but these are fab for those of you that don’t want as high of a heel.  The ones I’m wearing are the Ron Ron pumps in the patent leather.  These are actually the 2nd pair of Louboutins I had ever bought!  They don’t get worn as much now but they are one of the first that started my crazy collection.

For a better price point, did you see these ? Really cute!  I tried these Pour la Victoire platform pumps, which are pretty much dupes of the YSL Tributes and they are very comfy!

You’ve probably noticed my love of the MAC clutch since I have two of them.  I carry them a lot which surprised even me but I am getting used to not carrying as much stuff with me and I’m liking it!

I can’t find my pink one anymore but I’m liking the new quilting of her latest collection.  Also love shape of The Affair bag.  If you are looking for a pink bag, I carry this tote when traveling for work and I really like the size of it.  It fits a laptop nicely and is easy to get out and put back in for security.
Speaking of Rebecca Minkoff bags, the smarter.com blog is giving away one of her gorgeous bags, as well as Michael Kors watch (in rose gold – my fave!) and a pair of Tory Burch flip flops!  to enter!  I hope one of you guys win! 🙂

One last note, I get a lot of questions and comments about my jewelry and how to wear it, how to layer it, how to know if you are wearing too much, too little, etc… Check out my post on the Smarter blog for my tips on how to add jewelry to your outfits!

I can relate to the screaming because my coffee maker exploded and I screamed so much you would think I was being chased by an axe murderer.

    I use a French press now…

Are your Ron Rons comfortable compared to your Simple 100s? Just wondering because my feet aren't that narrow, so I'm extra picky about which CLs will be comfortable for me!

  • iamstylish
    April 15, 2011 at 9:35 pm

@Honeysuckle aw thank you! luckily I like that look too so it works but I can't wait until they are a little bit longer so they don't act so strange when i don't pin them back.

    April 15, 2011 at 9:36 pm

@Justine you should! Just have to get used to it if you are a big bag girl like me but I think you'll like it too!

  • iamstylish
    April 15, 2011 at 9:38 pm

@DesignCatalog The Ron Ron's are less comfortable than the Simple 100's. Especially if you're feet aren't narrow, I think the Ron Ron's run a bit tighter to the foot but still true to size, sizing wise. I would definitely recommend the Simple pumps for you! (Simple pumps also run TTS for me)

Tiffany that t3 hairdryer story is so scary! I have one and now afraid to dry my hair with it! I'd rather have frizzy hair then risk being electrocuted. However on a positive note I love the dashes of pink in your outfit and have managed to convince me to get a Rebecca minkoff clutch! Happy Friday!'
