Maggie May Swimwear

Oh my goodness, is it time to bust out the bikinis yet?  HA! Of course not since it's still rainy and gray here but I've got a few sunny vacations to look forward to in the upcoming months and I'm sure a lot of you do too!  When Maggie May Swimwear reached out to me to introduce me to their beautiful handknit swimwear, I about died at how amazing these bikinis were.  They are like works of art!  They kindly offered to send me one bikini but when I opened up the box I was pleasantly surprised to find two gorgeous bikinis!  Check out the amazing detail on them.

Magdalena Trever is the creator and designer of these bikinis and she knits every single one herself which is absolutely amazing.  All she asked for was a few of my measurements and she made them to fit me perfectly.  Perfectly fit swimwear is SO hard to come by for me because I'm bigger on top than on bottom so I always have to buy suits in separate sizes but they still never fit that great - saggy bottom is always my biggest issue - not much junk in the trunk here ;)

As you can see they are fully lined, which is obviously very important for swimwear.  I just love all the trimming and beads and details she adds to the bikinis.  You can really tell that they are made with a lot of love and a lot of care.  This is not a suit that I will just be tossing aside after a few wears.

She has so many suits to choose from, below are a few of my favorites (besides the ones they sent me!)
Check out the shop for the rest of her collection!

Gorgeous right?  They are on the pricey side but totally worth it.  I buy a lot of bikinis both cheap and pricey but I do tend to favor the pricier one to get better quality.  Since these are handmade it really makes more sense to pay a bit more for it than for a factory made bikini, which is around the same price.  You just won't get the same attention to detail and quality as with a handmade suit. Plus, I would rather support a young talented designer and knowing that nobody else on the beach will have anything close to what you're wearing!

All of this bikini talk and now I'm already plotting on my outfits for the beach!  I love swimwear shopping and everything else that goes along with going to the beach.  Both of these outfits would look great with my Maggie May bikinis!

Do you have your summer vacations planned out yet?  If not, I hope this inspires you to plan one now and hopefully to a beachy tropical locale!  If anything, I'll just plan a girl's trip to Vegas, who's in? :)

Disclosure: Maggie May Swimwear sent over the bikinis for my consideration but did not ask me to post about them nor was there compensation for this post.  All opinions, as always, are of my own.

  1. Yay! Summer... it's definitely going to be hot here in AZ but that means I get to bust out the beach wardrobe. Woohoo!

I love both of the suits that Maggie May sent you. Especially because her knit is so tight. I've seen knitted suits before but they always seem so loose. I'm excited to check out Maggie May's.

I'm always looking for a good sun hat, and adore the juicy one you pointed out. Good choice. :)

    Happy Thursday!

  12. Those are beautiful (and I always love a good turquoise/teal/blue - *dies*). I rotate between tankinis and bikinis when on vacation + at the pool, so I'll have to check these out!

  13. I would love a trip to Vegas, but for the time being I have Ft. Lauderdale as my upcoming vacation destination.

I'm a little afraid of the upcoming bathing suit shopping. I have junk in the trunk and some up top, so I need cute, but most of all supportive.

  14. Perfect timing for this post, Tiffany! Summer has been on my mind and I'm already on the hunt for some new bikinis. It's soooo hard though since I have such a small chest... all those triangle tops look awful on me! And I'm definitely in for Vegas ;)

  16. can you do a review on how small they run or how snug they are and how they test out in the water? those things would be impo to know about a bikini brand.
