Lookbook: Black and Pink

What I’m Wearing
Top: ASOS
Pants: Gap
Necklace: Tommy Hilfiger
Ring: Wendy Brandes

I was looking in my closet earlier this year and realized that as much as I love pink, I didn’t have that much pink in my closet.  I actually think I went through a serious neutrals phase without knowing it and all of the sudden everything in my closet was black, white and gray.  SO I changed that and started stocking up on lots of colors but pink was one thing that I needed in my closet.  Hot pink is my color of the season.  From lipsticks, to tops, to jeans I love the hot pink!  If you’re still shying away from bright colors for your clothes, try to add punches of brights with your accessories and your nails!  Bright nails are my fave accessory!

This is a total work appropriate outfit (for me at least) but also works well into the evening.  The added punch of the necklace (a gift from my lovely sister) took it just a step into the “fancy” area however, you could totally do no necklace and the look would be just as fine.  It’s kind of my take on a classic outfit with the blouse, pearls and chanel bag but updated in my own way.  It’s always fun to take a classic look and put your own spin on it.

ASOS Wrapped Front Ruched Sleeve Blouse – on sale now for $12.55!
Sizing wise this runs true to size.  Mine is a size up than I normally wear ( I didn’t do that on purpose but not knowing what size to order I order a size up on blouses to be safe) so it’s a bit baggier on me than I like.

Lots of pink tops that I’m coveting… like this Leifsdottir Blouse, love the print.  The one sleeve is a little weird, but cool at the same time.  I’m intrigued to see how it would look on!  ASOS also has this Lipsy Loop Front Blouse with the pretty ruffles and bow and the nipped in waist, it’s a super cute girly top (right up  my alley!) and would still be appropriate for work worn underneath a blazer or perfect for a night out paired with a slim black skirt.

I haven’t yet tried the Gap Zip skinny stretch pants but they look cute, I like the cropped length. Also, loving these Always Skinny Jeans, and on sale for $19.99!

As of my post, there are limited sizes in black on pre-order so get on it if you want them!  I still love the Simple 100’s but these are a great alternative for a high but not too high heel.  The Stuart Weitzman ‘Logoflame’ Pumps are a good alternative for a quality shoe or for a fun pump under $100 try the Steve Madden ‘Bevv’ Pump.

Isn’t this necklace so pretty?  And only $16!  Sometimes you gotta mix up your classic pearls with something fun.  I love the Kenneth Jay Lane White Pearl Braided Necklace too!

Hot pink is my favorite color of the season too! Unfortunately, my closet is one that is filled with white, black, mostly gray and a few random prints!! I seriously need to get out of this neutral phase, it is just so simple ! Love the bright pink on you.

Bright nails are the only way I can do brights – I just can't wear colour! That necklace from your sister is so pretty… co-ordinates so nicely with your Chanel 🙂

OMG, Tiffany, I am DYING for that top. I keep ignoring my ASOS emails, but I sense I need to start losing myself in the site. And you are a total doll in hot pink (my favorite color.)
