Week in iPhone Pics: Food, Fun and Seattle sun!

It's been over a month since I posted my last week in iPhone pics so figured I should post an update, however I guess I should call this one My Month in iPhone pics!
  • Just a few things from our trip to San Francisco.  First my haul from Zara!  We don't have Zara in Seattle (why?! I need one badly!) so whenever I go to SF one of my first stops is to see all the fun stuff at Zara.  I had to get lots of bright colors and fun patterns!
  • And then of course foods stuff as you can't go to SF and not enjoy the yummies.  The macchiato from Blue Bottle is fantastic but silly me didn't think about taking a shot of espresso (yes, that cup is tiny, it's just one shot in there) late afternoon so I was up all night!
  • La Boulange Bakery did not disappoint!  One of my biggest weakness is pastries and oooh theirs were extra yummy!  My strawberry danish was delish but husband's ham and cheese croissant was the winner.  SO FLAKY.
  • And finally a stop at the Jonathan Adler store to ooh and aah and attempt to take everything home with me.  The dachshund bookends!  Eeek!  They were made for us!

  • Back in Seattle and the sun finally decided to come out and play!  We took every advantage that we could and walked the dogs and just spent most of the days outside.
  • The Seattle skyline is so beautiful on days like this.  I love my city when it's not cloudy and gray!
  • The third picture down with the frame is a funny thing we saw on one of our walks.  It was just a frame hung on a mossy wall and someone put a sign up that made it look like it was an art gallery, it says "Peeling Paint on Moss Growth" and the description plus the price of $2,000.  Too funny!

  • My attempt at my first bundt cake from a new favorite cookbook!  (It turned out alright, but I attribute it to the recipe because it was a "healthy" version of a bundt cake)
  • The sun immediately made us want to barbecue so we went over to my brother in law's house for a barbecue feast including these adorable and delish sliders that my husband made.
  • Going out for tapas is one of my favorite things to do with friends and got so much food at Cicchetti it was ridiculous.  I'm always a sucker for flatbread and dips!  To be specific: A trio of dips with home made flatbread: walnut-pomegranate muhamarrah, feta yogurt with mint, white bean purée with bottarga
  • And on another beautiful (but particularly stressful) day, a margarita was a much needed way to relax for the night.

  • My mom's Chanel collection is seriously amazing.  I raided her closet to "borrow" a few and this pink classic caviar bag was on the top of my list.  It's one of those that bags that any girly girl will fully appreciate and Chanel does not make this pink any longer which makes it that much more special.
  • I think you know that I love my YSL Arty Ring and I fell in love with the Arty Too Ring so I had to order it.  It's even more gorgeous in person!
  • Even though the sun has started to come out, the wind is still quite strong,  so I've discovered that wearing my Rachel Zoe faux fur vest over a blazer is a good combo for this weather.  (Worn with my vintage Chanel flap, a bracelet from my husband and the watch is from my parents)

  • A new bag!  The Miu Miu bow bag has been on my lust list for YEARS!  I've looked at it so many times but didn't pull the trigger until Miu Miu launched their e-commerce store and this little bag (the color is called "smoky gray") happily came to live with me :)
  • In the photo with the polka dot skirt (from Zara!) I'm wearing my new Miu Miu pumps which I love love love! Surprisingly I did not have a pair of leather platform black pumps and these filled that void.
  • I came home to find a package from Goody, full of new hair goodies!  I am seriously loving the reversible barrettes they sent me.  I like to use them to hold back my unruly bangs (you'll see them in an upcoming post) and I'm super excited about the Spin Pin MINI's!  I know that everyone loves the Spin Pin which worked fine for me when my hair was longer but it kinda sticks out of my hair at this shorter length so the minis are perfect!
  • For my nails of the week, I went with Zoya Kieko and Breezi from their new Summertime Collection.  I love all the colors from this collection!

Phew!  That was a long recap!  I had too many fun things to share this time! :)

All photos were taken by me on my iPhone 4.  No photo apps were used but some processing was done in Photoshop.  Layouts were also done in Photoshop.

  8. Beautiful photos! Love everything, especially the Chanel bag. Too bad they don't make it anymore, they should, the color is amazing. Miu Miu bag looks great! Is it heavy on it's own? I'm a sucker for large bags, but some are heavy to begin with, which makes it tough to carry around.
P.S. You should come to NYC to shop, there is Zara on every corner lol

  12. Wow these are some great pictures! Did you use an app for the pictures you took in SF? I bought some of the apps you suggested in another post and use them all the time! If you ever come back to SF you have to try Blue Bottle's New Orleans Ice Coffee if you haven't tried it yet! Lastly congrats on the new Miu Miu bag. That's also been on my lust list for years. It so so so beautiful and totally matches you!

  14. Love these pics- it really makes me want to go back to SF desperately! Next time you go back you should try TARTINE in the Mission. They have an amazing ham/cheese croissant- right on par with Paris! I have been lusting for that bow bag for years too- people are seriously sick of hearing about it!
    Happy Thursday!

  17. I'm in love with those Miu Miu pumps! I'm definitely adding them to my wishlist. :)

I noticed something interesting about Miu Miu's e-commerce site....I was able to click the link and see the site page for your bag, but when I tried to go back and search for it, all I could find was the pink version! Do you know what's up with that?

  22. AAAAHHH, love the pics... so many things to comment on! Firstly, I can't believe Seattle doesn't have Zara. Even Vancouver, which always gets things months after Toronto, has two! Secondly, I actually saw some girl with that pink Chanel bag IN a Zara a few days ago and totally followed her around the store to get a closer look at the bag. So much pretty. Thirdly, I am madly in lust with your bow bag!! I want one in mughetto but I really like that grey. Are you finding it to be quite practical?

  26. Wow, that YSL ring is soooo gorgeous! Its the perfect dark ocean blue stone. I think I like this more than the turqouise/coral YSL ring that a lot of bloggers have. And now, I might just try the Spin pin minis, what is better if you have hair a bit past the shoulders - the regular one or the mini?

  27. The pictures are beautiful, Tiffany! I feel the same as you do about the Miu Miu bag. I've been stalking it but never pulled the trigger. One of my friends got a black one, you got this grey one and Lisa has the pink. Now you guys are making me consider it even more. Which size is this one?

The bookends are so adorable! So appropriate for your little doggie guys :)

  32. @Pauline Yes, she's quite stylish :) i get my fashion sense from her!

  33. @Sammie I was SO close to getting the light gray but decided to get the darker one. I do love both though!

  34. @Bee29 It's not too bad. Like it's slightly heavy but with stuff in it, it's definitely heavy. I'm kind of against heavy bags too but this one isn't too bad.

I've been to NYC several times and I stop at every Zara every time I go there! LOL!

  35. @Maja Yes, it is expensive which is why I couldn't pull the trigger for so long but now that I have it, it's totally worth it! Even though it's a "fun" bag, it's still a classic considering how long it's been around and the leather is fabulous so I think it will last a really long time, if that helps you make the decision to buy it :)

  36. @CessOviedo I know! I need one here! I have no idea what Zara has against Seattle! :)

    ReplyDelete
  37. @Christina Thanks Christina! Yes, for sure I couldn't resist all the colors at Zara. I wanted to buy more!

  38. @Kwisto No app on these photos. Just straight from the iPhone camera and then I did some editing in Photoshop. I will try the New Orleans Ice Coffee next time! (I will be in SF quite often so will def be back!)

  39. @Laura J OOH! I've heard of Tartine but have yet to make it there. Definitely on the list for next time.

I'm the same! My husband got sick of me talking about the bow bag so he said "GET IT!" haha!

  40. @DiamondsandTulle 20 polishes?! haha! love it! That's like me, I order so many at a time so I had to hold off on the polish exchange.

  41. @Holly Oh, the same thing happened to me! I went on the Miu Miu site at least 5 times before I even noticed that there are those up and down arrows to scroll down to see the other colors. The gray is at the bottom so you gotta click on those arrows to see the other colors. Too funny but it's not very noticeable on the site. I'm glad I'm not the only one that didn't see it!

  42. The photos are phenom. I adore Candice Kumai and her book Pretty Delicious is pretty daggone good. Plus the photography - it's one of the best shot books that I've seen lately. I haven't tried the bundt recipe yet but the recipes I have done have turned out pretty fab.

The ring is gorgeous. You have got me coveting the YSL rings. You know YSL is on RueLaLa tomorrow, right?

  43. Oooh! I didn't know Goody had mini spin pins! :) How exciting :)

And I totally agree, we need a Zara here in Seattle!
