Currently Loving: patterned clutches

I got lots of compliments on this pretty clutch when I posted it last and questions about where I got it from so I wanted to let you guys know that I got it from an Etsy seller, Krust, who doesn't have any more of these floral clutches but other cute patterns so check out her shop!

I had initally been inspired by this photo that I pinned on pinterest to find a floral clutch and was so happy to have found mine!  I actually think that this is a great DIY project!  I haven't pulled out my sewing machine in a while but am tempted to if I can find fabric that I love.
and then I pinned this image
which now makes me really want a striped clutch!  I've been shopping around and really love the look of patterned and textured clutches.  I think I will be adding a few more to my little clutch collection.  Here's a few that I'm loving...

Are you guys into the clutch trend too or do you think it's crazy to not be able to go "hands free" with your purse?  I used to think I wouldn't like it but it's slowly grown on me!

P.S.  We've partnered with BonBonRose Girls to give away a t+j Designs bracelet and earrings!  Click over to their fabulous blog to find out how to enter.  And my sister is also giving away some jewelry as well so make sure to enter on her blog too!

Check out my newest post on the Smarter blog!  I'm keeping one of my favorite summer trends into the fall... maxi skirts!

  5. I bought an LV clutch the same time I bought my Neverfull GM. Somehow, I went for for the Neverfull because I was totally about the big bag and being able to carry it all. Lately though (as in, this whole year), I've found myself carrying just the clutch. My wallet (which is actually my passport carrier) and my iphone plus lipstick is all I ever carry nowadays. Big change! oh, and my shoulders say a unanimous "THANK YOU!" :)

  6. I have a leopard clutch and a silk floral one but neither are as big as the ones you're featuring. I think I'd get much more use out of as larger one. It is hard for me to have to "clutch" (haha) a bag in my hands on a day to day basis but I typically slide a pretty clutch into a larger day bag and pull it out when I'm meeting friends, etc.

  8. I love clutches, but only the ones that have hidden straps so there's always that option for hands-free. The print on the one you pinned on Pinterest is really pretty though!

  16. @House of Hemingway ooh, which one did you get? I love LV clutches but haven't splurged on one yet. I may just have to next time I find myself in an LV store! ;) And yes, so agreed about the shoulders! Sometimes my bag gets so heavy so I know what you mean.

  17. @Michelle yes, I can't do it day to day either, mainly when I'm just going out to dinner is the best time. I love the big size, it really is a bit more practical.

  19. @alison*elle almost all my other clutches have shoulder straps that you can detach. It's probably better that way but I had to make an exception with this bag. hmmm... now you are making me wonder if I can diy a strap to it. future project!

  26. I love clutches! I don't get to use them as much as I'd like because it's almost impossible when dragging kiddies around with you, but I'm still a huge fan. You made me want a striped one now!

  31. Wow, what a lovely combination! I love your outfit! I only owns 2 clutches.. and I barely use it because I have a tendency to stuff bunch of stuff in my bag, and clutches won't fit.. lol But hopefully I'll be able to carry a clutch like a classy woman!
