Lookbook: The Start of Something New...

This past month has been crazy madness.  Trying to launch a new business + working my regular job + my blog + freelance blogging + a week of jury duty was insanity!  And amidst that I was super sick for over 2 weeks straight with a mystery illness that made me cry almost everyday.  My doctor had me do several tests and go through XRays and CAT scans only to find "it could be this" or "it could be a sign of this" but nothing definite!!  UGH.  Mystery illnesses suck.  But for some strange reason, the mystery illness slowly mysteriously disappeared and I'm actually feeling almost normal!  It may have just been stress attacking my body, who knows!  My doctor was certainly as puzzled as I was.

Love the color of the dress that Banana Republic kindly sent over a few months ago but I haven't had a chance (or the appropriate weather!) to wear it.  The dress was a bit big/long on me and I haven't had time to go to my tailor so I cinched it up with a belt and it did the trick!  I hope you love the jewelry I'm wearing because... it's part of my latest venture!  My sister and I are designing a line of jewelry and we are SO excited that we are close to launching!  You'll be seeing more of our jewelry pop up on our blogs and hopefully soon (crossing our fingers that everything goes well) you'll be able to purchase them at our online store!

shopLB_thin
It's on sale online but limited sizes so maybe check out the stores, they might have your size!  There's also this pretty printed version of my dress on sale for $80!  Love this lace trim sheath dress as well!  A great summer look for work if you top it off with a white blazer and nude peeptoe pumps.

J Crew has a cute striped blazer too.  Or a stripe cardigan would be just as cute over this dress.  Love the short sleeve version of the cardigan too.

Mine are the Tribute Mary Jane sandals which they don't make anymore but I do love the classic tribute sandals as well.  As high as these shoes are, they are SO comfy!  Check out the Vince Camuto Marken, total dupes of mine but way cheaper! And Endless is doing a promotion for $25 off $80 which is a fab deal on these! Or try the Vince Camuto Melva sandals, I love the height! (they have them in leopard too!)

Here's a better look at my nail polish.  I am so in love with this neon polish.  It's so crazy bright!  I can't find it anywhere online but I got mine at Bartell's so maybe check your local drugstore if they have it!  The brand is Cosmetic Arts in Pink Rush.  I went back and got another bright neon pink and a green.  They are perfect for the summer!  My bag is the Chanel Ultimate Stitch.

Necklace from our jewelry line.  (The ring I'm wearing is ours too!)  More info coming soon!

Cat Eyes

I'm not a cat person... I'm deathly allergic and well, I'd much rather have a dog but I do love me some cat eye sunglasses!  My latest loves are these Chloe sunglasses that shadesdaddy sent to me ages ago and that I'm finally breaking in.  I have a TON of sunglasses but these are my only cat eye shaped ones and I'm sorta obsessed with them and now on the hunt for more!
chloe_sunglasses
Mine aren't available anymore but here's a similar pair.  If you want to try and find mine, the style name is Tilia from Chloe.  My ring is the YSL Arty Too.

I've been spotting them on my favorite celebs too.  Love these House of Harlow sunglasses on Nicole Richie.  I like that they are a bit more oversized which is a style that I love in sunglasses.

Or these gorgeous Tom Ford's on the always very put together Olivia Palermo.

And some of my picks!

But you also don't need to spend a ton of money on this trend.  Love these options as well and you won't have that extra worry of leaving your sunglasses somewhere or sitting on them and breaking them!

Lookbook: Pink Lemonade

vera_bradley_clutchvera_bradley_clutch3vera_bradley_clutch2
My mother in law loves Vera Bradley and we have a store over here in Bellevue so whenever we want to buy her a present we always stop in and get her something from there.  I always thought the stuff was cute but not really my style.  To be honest I don't think I would have ever stepped foot in the store if it weren't for my mother in law.  But now that we've bought her a few things from there,  I can appreciate why people love it.   The patterns that they come out with are always so pretty and the bags and totes are really great sizes.  I've never really thought about getting something for myself there but the last time we were shopping for her, I spotted these clutches and instantly thought "I love those!" and came up with a million different outfits I could wear them with.  I couldn't choose between this one or a blue pattern but I finally went with the cheery mix of the pinks and oranges.  The bag just screams SUMMER to me so I had to put on a summery outfit to match :)

shopLB_heart

on sale for $13!  I love that the back is longer than the front.
I never really wear yellow but I do love the color.  This little yellow tee with ruffles is super cute!  Ooh, I love the Winner's Circle tee from Anthropologie with the rosettes and it comes in so many great colors.

J Crew Wild ikat chino short
I got my shorts last year but I always love JCrew's printed shorts.  These ikat ones are fab, I think I need them!  You could do cute flower print shorts too like these from Forever 21or ASOS.

Don't let the size fool you!  This clutch actually carries a lot of stuff.  I love how roomy it is and there are inner pockets to keep your lipstick, hand lotion and cell phone secure.  My color is sold out but this yellow pattern is cute and would go well with jeans as your "pop" of color.  Or QVC has it in purple and Vera Bradley has a blue one too.  This one with the reds and blues is pretty too.

You can get mine here in bone or black.  I think they sell out of the nude too fast online so it's hard to find.  I love the Simple Pumps!  They are one of my most comfortable shoes. And of course you know I love the nude pump, they are my legs' best friend when I wear shorts and skirts!  Love the shape of these Miu Miu pumps.  And how gorgeous are these Valentino pumps?  If you are looking for something more affordable, these are similar for $50!

Review and Giveaway! Vitaphenol Skin Care

**This is not a sponsored post but I was given these products for free to try out.  I genuinely liked this product and wanted to share with my readers.  If you don't like to read reviews of products, feel free to skip this post.**

I've always tried to take good care of my skin, starting from my teens, I've always had a full skincare regimen to make sure that I was doing my best to treat my skin right.  I definitely get it from my mom who has more skin care products than I have ever seen! :)  My skin hasn't always been great and I do like to get monthly facials to help it out but over the past few years it's gotten a lot better but I still love skincare products, especially skincare products where I see results!  When Bob from Vitaphenol contacted me about their skincare system, I was a bit intrigued.  I had never heard of them before but I liked that they had kits or "systems" for different kinds of skin types so you didn't have to buy a ton of different products and guess which one fit you best.  I've always had a bit of a problem with Acne so I tried the "Acne Prone" system which came with these 4 products:

* Ultra-gentle Daily Cleanser
* Anti-aging Toner
* Oil-free Anti-aging Serum
* Daily Fortified Moisturizer

I've been using the products for 3 months now because I fully wanted to test the products and see results before I posted and I truly like what I'm seeing!  Not only do I love that this system is geared towards helping my breakouts (which it has) there are anti-aging components to the skin care too and even though I don't have too many wrinkles to be able to tell you if it's helped with wrinkles, I feel like it's helping to prevent them.

I use the cleanser with my Clarisonic (which if you are a long time reader you know I love that thing!) and the two of them work great together.  The cleanser does not foam up which I like because foamy cleansers tend to dry out my skin.  I used to use toners that were very drying so I haven't used them in awhile.  I was pleasantly surprised by their toner because it's a spray that feels very clean and light on the skin. I like to use the toner right after wash my face as it takes off the last bit of makeup that may have been left on my face.  I actually mix the serum and the moisturizer together and put it as the last step to my nightly skincare routine.  I've actually become a huge fan of Bio-Oil and I use the Bio-oil right before I put on the serum/moisturizer combo and since I've been using this combo, I wake up with super soft skin.  I've found that most acne prevention products that I've used are quite drying which I thought was just an effect of needing to use such a product on your skin but the Vitaphenol does actually work on my acne without drying out my skin!  That's probably the biggest reason why I love it.

I'm very picky about who I partner with and do reviews/giveaways on my blog because I want to make sure that I only bring the best to you guys so I really do recommend them.  I wanted to make sure that you had a chance to try them out too so I'm excited to partner with them on a giveaway to give a set to one of you!  The winner will get a full skin care regimen (~$325 value) and you can choose the one specific for your skin type - Dry Skin, Oily Skin, Normal Skin and Acne Prone.

Work the Trend... Prints

Looking through my lookbooks you can tell that I definitely love prints.  You'll rarely find me in 100% solid colors as I love mixing prints and patterns way too much with my solids.  Although prints may not be a trend per say, what I'm loving right now are bright floral prints so here are some of my faves that I may be adding to my wardrobe.
Being 5'2" doesn't stop me from wearing maxi dresses and I love florals on my maxis to give it more depth and dimension.  How fun is the 2nd dress with the uneven hem?  I'm not sure how that will look on me but I'm willing to give it a try!

Tops are the easiest thing to add prints and patterns to your wardrobe.  For my body type I like to stick to relatively small prints but with a top like the Yumi Kim top on the left I'd wear this tucked into a pair of slim trousers and top it off with a "girlfriend" blazer for a very work appropriate but fun look that lets the print of the blouse be the focal point.  The other two are definitely great for the summer espeically Seattle summers where it still tends to be a bit breezy so I love wearing light weight long sleeve tops with shorts.  (much like yesterday's lookbook!)

 Shift Dress in Spot Print | Printed Shift Dress with Bell Sleeve | Pussybow Shirt Dress
Long sleeve mini dresses are my ultimate favorite dresses.  I don't love my upper arms.  Never have, never will.  No matter how much I work out or how much weight I lose, they will always be huge!  So I tend to cover up my arms more than any other part of my body.   On the other hand, I have short but slim legs which are elongated by the heels I wear so I don't mind showing them off a bit more.  I'm all about dressing for your body type so I always take these things into consideration when buying clothes.  I love printed dresses because it's really the easiest outfit to pull together!  Just slip on one of these dresses with minimal jewelry and you are out the door!  With the mini dress it's so fun to go with all sorts of prints, I haven't found one that isn't flattering yet!  I love the classic dots or the fun animal print trend too.  Pair any of these dresses with a pair of pretty nude heels or these if you want something strappy.  This is my go-to uniform in the summer evenings for drinks with my girlfriends!

Another great trend for the summer is bold lips!  Check out my picks and tips on what colors to wear over on the Smarter blog!

Lookbook: (not so) Sunny Days

jcrew_shorts3jcrew_shorts2jcrew_shorts

The weather in Seattle looks more like fall than summer.  I'm refusing to deal with this weather so I've been trying my best to pull out some of my summer wardrobe.  I got these Miu Miu sandals at the last designer sale which I was so happy my SA could find in my size.  I have this weird thing where I don't really like shoes that shows my feet, especially my toes, which is why I own so many pumps and not many sandals (I'm okay with peep toes though).  Still you can't go through summer without some sandals and I loved the criss cross design of these so I made the exception and they are a happy addition to the collection!  My hair is finally back to being healthy so I'm trying not to use heated tools on my hair lately.  I'm so used to curling my hair so I've been needing to find new hairstyles to go with but the good news is I've finally been getting use out of my headbands that I rarely wear.

Oh and I have to mention that I DIY'd my link bracelets from this tutorial from Honestly WTF and I loved the results!  Here's a closer up shot of my bracelets.

Also, congrats to Eboni who won my PB&J Boutique Giveaway!  Eboni, I sent you an email so check your inbox! :)

This is the exact same style as mine but in lavender.  Here's a similar style but short sleeve for those of you that lives in a city that actually gets sun! (Ha! Can you tell that I'm super bitter about the weather in Seattle?)

 J Crew Esplanade Short
I'm loving lace shorts lately.  I like the black ones like these where you can only see the texture of it (although the pink ones are adorable too).  Oh, but these scalloped hem lace shorts are so cute too.

Mine are suede but these are the same style.  Also, in a taupe color and shorter heel.  The latest Miu Miu collection has me lusting after many shoes.  These definitely top the list!

Similar to mine!   Or another one here!  (please note, I've never shopped at FarFetch for vintage designer bags but I do know that they are a reputable retailer).  For my tips on shopping for vintage Chanel bags, click here!

YSL Arty Ring
I have heard lots of rumblings about these rings chipping or breaking but I've had mine for awhile now and haven't had any problems.  Granted, I'm not very hard on mine and only wear it a few times a month but I still think they are worth it!  I get lots of questions about sizing too... Mine is a size 5 (the smallest size) which I recommend if you have petite fingers. (my ring finger on my right hand is a size 4)  Jean over at Extra Petite is a lot smaller than I am and the size 5 is a bit big on her but she's got a great solution for too big rings!

One last thing!  New post on the Smarter blog!  Check out my tips on how to wear colorful shoes!

Lookbook: Bright Cobalt

Rag_Bone_BlueRag_Bone_Blue3Rag_Bone_Blue2
Hey loves!  It's been a hectic week because I have Jury Duty all week (UGH!) so it's kind of messed up my schedule for everything.  I'm working really hard on a new project (actually, new business!) which I hope to reveal soon. (Hint... if you check out my sister's blog, you may be able to figure out what we're working on) ;)  Don't ask me for details quite yet but I'm super excited and I can't wait to launch it and share it with you all!  I think (or hope!) you guys will love it! Anyway, the blog may be a little more quiet than usual but I'm still here if you need me! :)

I've always loved color in my wardrobe and this year I especially love lots of color.  My favorite trend right now is the bright jeans.  I can't get enough!  You've seen my pink jeans, which I've been wearing lots this summer, and these are my latest acquisition which I got when Refinery29 Reserve did their $150 for $300 at Rag & Bone deal.  (Have you checked out Refinery29 Reserve?  They have pretty sweet deals - kinda like Groupon - but mostly only for fashion sites.  I've saved so much money using their deals!)  These are probably the best fitting bright colored jeans that I've tried on.  The Zara ones are great because they are cheap but they've already lost a bit of it's shape, which is expected with cheap pants.  The J Brand jeans are fab and come in great colors but they aren't as soft or stretchy as the Rag & Bone ones which also come in a ton of colors.  My sister also bought these exact same jeans, which I didn't know until I saw her lookbook.  Great minds think alike! :)

You know I love my Rebecca Minkoff MAC clutch but since I have two, I've decided to sell this one.  I'm doing a major closet clean out and will be selling other bags so I'll try to update my blog sale shop soon.  (But don't get your hopes up, I never sell my high end designer bags!  They all mean too much to me even if I don't use them.  It will be bags like my Marc Jacobs and another Rebecca Minkoff)  Anyway, I'm selling this bag for $160 (includes shipping - US only). I purchased it for $295 and it's still currently selling at that price (but this color is no longer available).  Only used a handful of times and looks brand new.  Comes with the detachable strap and dust bag.  Email me at tiffany (at) iamstyle-ish . com with the subject line "RM Clutch" to purchase.  First come, first serve.  I'll email you back to let you know if you are the first and details on how to send payment.
SOLD!

 Vince Stripe Sweater Tee
I think the rest of the world is warmer than Seattle right now so this sweater tee is probably more appropriate for the rest of you guys than the sweater I'm wearing!  Although, what's great about striped sweaters is that they work really well into the fall and winter too so I'm stocking up on all of the ones that are on sale now. Love this Joie sweater, it looks so comfy, and it's is on sale for 60% off! And this Rebecca Taylor sweater is similar to mine and on sale too.

Rag & Bone Skinny Jean - Bright Cobalt

Love all the other colors too, like the Kelly Green and the Rose.  If you are petite and can fit into a girl's size, Joe's Jeans Kids has these skinny jeans in pink and blue for only $49.50!  I'm tempted to order the size 14 and see how they fit!

 Miu Miu Pumps
Such a great price for these!!  I have so many Miu Miu pumps and they are all super comfy and I wear them all the time.  I recommend true to size in Miu Miu shoes.  (Yoox is a reputable retailer, I've ordered from the before and they are great.)  Mine are sold out but these pumps  are similar to mine.

Rebecca Minkoff MAC Bombe Clutch
I love the MAC Clutch and wouldn't be selling mine except I went crazy and bought way too many crossbody bags lately so that's the only reason why I'm letting that one go.  I love the design of the Bombe Clutch.  It's really pretty in this metallic taupe too and is a great neutral color.

I'm not one who *has* to have coffee in the mornings.  Hubs will make it and I'll drink it but if he doesn't make it, it doesn't make a difference to me either.  The funny thing is, when I worked in an office, that was a different story.  I HAD to have my coffee or else I couldn't start my day.  It's funny the habits that change when you go from working in an office to working from home.  What I do love though, are afternoon coffee dates!  Hubs and I have them at least twice a week.  We take a break from our work, walk down to the neighborhood coffee shop (we have 4 different independent coffee shops around our neighborhood which is awesome.  We like having options!) and now that it's getting nice out, we just sit outside with the dogs and enjoy our coffee and chat.  It's nice sitting outside with our dogs because people love to come up to them and pet them and talk to us.  Our doggies love the attention!  Sometimes it takes a lot to drag me away from the desk but having these afternoon breaks are the best.  It really makes the biggest difference in your work day.

Totally love this gorgeous Bird by Juicy Couture blazer.  The colors are perfect for the fall.  The Twisted Heart Stripe Blazer is a bit more casual and would be really cute layered underneath a peacoat in the winter, especially with the hoodie popping out!

Also get 3% cashback from ebates for all your Nordstrom purchases! Don't forget to use your ebates for the upcoming Anniversary Sale!

Love the striped tanks, they are so versatile and add just the right pattern to any outfit.  Don't afraid to try stripes on stripes, it works!  This little red striped tank would look good underneath the blazer or alone with shorts.  This DKNY tank is also really cute and on sale.  I love blue and gray stripes together.  (Use your Ebates to get 5% cashback at Macy's)
The majority of my jeans are either Madewell or Rag & Bone.  They both fit me the best.  These are my newest pair that I got a month ago and I love them.  They are a bit dressier as they are "trouser" style so they don't have back pockets.  I love the color of these and the slim fit.  (is it just me or do they look weird on the model?  Trust me, they look much better on!)

Fall shoes are coming out now which are my faves!  Love all the styles of pumps that I'm seeing.  These are SUPER tall which I love!

Or these are a bit more practical and just adore the bow on the toe.  I tried these on at Nordstrom and they are super cute on too.  Oh and get 2.5% cashback at Barneys.  Any kind of discount off Louboutins is good right?

Just had to show you one more.  I'm completely obsessed with the green suede New Simple pumps.  Gorgeous!! (and yes luisaviaroma.com is an authentic retailer - they are based in Europe but do ship to the US)
 I still love my bow bag!!  I've gotten a lot of questions about the size and mine is the same size as the bag I linked to which is the regular size, not the mini.  The mini is super cute but I looked at it in the store and it's just too small for me.
