Designer Shoe Sale Picks!

***Last day to get 25% off your order at my jewelry line, t+j Designs!  Use code THANKS at checkout.***

Alright ladies, the time is here, a lot of the deisgner shoes are now on sale!  I was stalking Barney's and Saks all last night so here are my top picks!

Barney's has some great selection and of course me being a pumps girl, I'm totally in love with all of these pumps.  Also don't forget to click through ebates before you buy!  Barney's is offering 2.5% cashback.

5. CO-OP Barneys New York Glitter Pump

Saks, of course had a ton of great shoes.  I had my eye on quite a few booties...  (If you can believe it, Saks is 10% cashback! That's huge!)  I prefer to shop Saks out of all the online department stores because Saks doesn't charge me tax (there's no Saks in WA state), so I always look there first!

e. Rachel Zoe Bella Suede Studded Ankle Boots

Saks has a ton more shoes, definitely check it out!  Oh and for those of you that liked my Miu Miu mary jane pumps, Saks has them in this pretty gray on sale!  Update: my nude ones are now listed on Nordstrom on sale!

I still haven't heard about the sale list for Louboutin yet (they don't go on sale until December) so as soon as I hear, I'll let you guys know! :)

It's the last day to enter my Julep Maven giveaway to win a Julep nail polish set!  Don't forget if you want to join Julep Maven to use my code IAMSTYLEISH to get your first box for $9.99!

Style Challenge: Blogger Inspiration and Lookbook!

Last Friday I announced our first ever Style Challenge and I have recruited a few of my favorite ladies to style our jewelry and to give you guys some inspiration for your outfits!
We would love to see how you style your favorite statement jewelry piece and to make the Style Challenge even more fun, everyone that participates in the challenge is entered to win 1 of 2 awesome prizesKelly, Jean and Khatu will help us in choosing one of the winners!

Prize 1 will contain the Layered Statement Necklace, Glam Leatherette Ring and the Gold Double Braided Cuff.

The 2nd prize will be the Glam Leatherette RingGold Large Braided Cuff and the Satin and Pearl Rhinestone necklace.
Click here for the details on the Style Challenge.  We will accept submissions from now until December 9th so you have some time to put together an outfit!  You can use any jewelry you already own!  And after you post your outfit on your blog remember to link it up here. (or if you are not a blogger email me your pics!)  And yes, we'll accept video submissions too, submit your youtube link here! :)

In my style challenge outfit I'm wearing the Satin and Pearl Rhinestone necklace.  While I love necklaces, this one was a challenge for me because it's a lot busier than what I usually wear and I tend to pair it with a sweater and jeans kind of outfit.  I wanted to challenge myself by dressing it up and pairing it with patterns.  I tried it out for an outfit that I wore out to a nice dinner and ended up loving the mix of the patterns with the texture of the chain, pearls and rhinestones.
What I'm Wearing
*Lace Cardigan: Target - Great options here in lots of colors, here and here at Forever 21 all under $20.
*Top: Shop Sosie - It's actually this dress that I tucked into my skirt to make a top.  I'm wearing a Small and is overall a bit big, especially the sleeves but works well with a belt or tucked in like I'm wearing.
*Skirt: T by Alexander Wang - Buy here on sale (sizing is true to size, mine is a XS) or also similar and on sale, and here for 60% off.
*Bag: Marc Jacobs
*Shoes: YSL Tribute Mary Jane- See them in better detail in this lookbook.  Mine are from last year but you can still get the YSL Tribute Sandals, these gorgeous purple ones are on sale!  And, a great Look for Less option.
*Jewelry: t+j Designs Satin and Pearl Rhinestone necklace, Glam Leatherette Ring, Bamboo Crystal Bracelet, Rhinestone Bow Bracelet, and Medium Gold Bangle with Etchings.  Take 25% off your order with code THANKS.  Code expires 11/30.
Also, if you love Mary Jane pumps (like I do!) I just pre-saled these super cute Miu Miu ones at Nordstrom and they will be going on sale December 1st for 40% off!  Don't quote me on the date, but I know it's somewhere around there, but if you like them call up your Nordstrom Sales Associate and let them know that you want to pre-sale them.  The blue ones are the YSL Tributes in the shorter heel.  My SA said those were sold out everywhere but maybe check other department stores or! And if you haven't checked yet, Net-a-porter has put a bunch of designer shoes on sale!

I hope you join the challenge!  I'm super excited to see everyone's looks!  Submit your links here.

As you all know, my sister and I started our jewelry line this summer and have had such an amazing time with this business and really appreciate all your support.  I've gotten questions from readers who would love to wear certain pieces but are unsure of how to style them so instead of just giving my advice, I thought, who better to provide inspiration on wearing and styling jewelry than fellow bloggers and readers!  I know some people struggle with wearing bigger necklaces and some people struggle with wearing dangly earrings, etc... so I would love to see you guys challenge yourself on wearing statement jewelry and help inspire each other with how to incorporate jewelry into your outfits!

The challenge...
  • take a piece of jewelry, maybe a statement piece that you don't wear often but would like to or just your favorite stand out piece and put an outfit together.
  • If you are a blogger, post your outfit on your blog and let us know why you put that outfit together or your jewelry styling tips.
  • Please post this button on your post so that I know you are entering the challenge

  • Fill out this form with the link to your post or send me an email with the link to your post.  I've created a button on my sidebar where you'll easily be able to access the form.
  •  If you do not have a blog, you can still enter!  Just email me (tiffany at with your name, your picture and a sentence or two about your outfit or your favorite jewelry styling tip.
  • After I get all the entries, I will compile all the posts/pictures and share all of your fabulous outfits into one post so that everyone will be able to click through and see how everyone styled their jewelry and outfits.
And to make this challenge even better, everyone that participates in this challenge is entered to win a major prize from t+j Designs!  Two prize packs will be awarded.  Come back on Monday to find out what will be included!  Update: check this post for the prizes!

  • Post your outfit/email me your pictures between now and December 9th

Video: Shoe Shopping with me!

As I mentioned in yesterday's shopping post, I did a little designer shoe pre-sale shopping and brought my little flipcam so that you could come shopping with me!  I have to say selection was not as good as the previous years but there was some cute stuff.  A lot of the designer shoes are going on sale tomorrow so keep an eye on all the major department stores if you are shopping online, Barney's, Nordstrom, Saks and Neiman Marcus will definitely have markdowns!  FYI, Louboutin is not included on tomorrow's list, I believe they will go on sale in December.  I'll share with you when I find out the exact date!

The shoes seen in the video in the following order are:
All are on sale for 40% off.

Make sure to enter my Julep Maven giveaway if you haven't yet for the chance to win some pretty nail polishes!

Happy Thanksgiving!

*I've been running on very little sleep lately and you can tell I was very tired when editing this video.  I just noticed all the bad spelling/typos so please excuse my non-ability to proofread before I hit publish.  haha!  I just had to point it out because it bugs me to no end but it's published and I don't feel like re-doing it.  :)

Pre-Thanksgiving Shopping Haul!

I got a call from my shoe sales associate at Nordstrom that he had the list for the designer pre-sale (select designers will be going on sale on Black Friday and the rest of the brands will follow in the upcoming weeks) so I stopped by and tried on lots of pretty shoes and pre-saled a few :)  I actually shot a little video of my shoe shopping trip so come back tomorrow for that!  Here's a sneak peak at what I tried on!
both are going to be on sale for 40% off!

I couldn't leave Nordstrom without checking out the handbag department.  While I did put a bag on pre-sale (this Marc Jacobs bag in metallic navy) I saw and fell in love with this Proenza Schouler bag that is now high on my wishlist!
PS1 Keep All Bag
What I'm Wearing: Trovata Cardigan | Forever 21 top | Rag & Bone jeans | Prada booties | t+j Designs jewelry (take 25% off your order with code THANKS)

Madewell just opened up a store in Bellevue and they sent me a postcard last week to come in and get 20% off my purchase so OF COURSE I had to stop in while I was there.  :)  When I do shopping posts, I'm often asked about sizing and what size I bought so I'm including that info below and hope that helps if you guys decide to get these items as well.
My absolute favorites jeans are the Madewell legging jeans so I got another pair as my other ones are so well worn that they are a bit too baggy in the knees for my liking.  I also got the henley as it was a good winter staple to wear underneath sweaters.  It's full price online but in stores it was $34.50.  The Soft Silk Boyshirt went on my "wishlist" because I didn't want to spend that much on a blouse for now, but I absolutely love the fit and the color.  Both tops are an XS and run true to size.  The jeans fit true to size.  They are a nice thick but still stretchy denim.  The length is too long but I just roll them under and it does the trick until I can make it to my tailor to get them hemmed.

J Crew was my next stop and I saw that they were doing 20% off sweaters so had to try on a few that I've been eyeing.  Oh but I just noticed that they are now doing 25% off all orders over $150 online so make sure to take advantage of that! (and of course the 4% cashback from ebates!)
Heart Me Sweater on the left is the size XS and the right is XXS.
I recently discovered that I've been wearing the wrong size at J Crew all along!  I used to think that the XS was fine until I tried on an XXS and realized that it fit much better.  I just had this perception that "I'm not that small, I would never be an XXS" and didn't even bother trying it on until I didn't have a choice when they ran out of XS in a sweater I wanted.  I'm such an advocate of wearing your correct size but I was letting my own mindset hold me back from actually even trying on a different size.  Anyway, as you can see the length is a bit shorter in the XXS which I don't like as much but I do like the fit on the sides and shoulder better.  Since I have a short torso, baggy sides make me look a lot bigger in the midsection so I try to avoid that.  The sweater is SO cute but a huge con is that it's mostly wool with only a tiny bit of cashmere so it's itchy.  I'm going to try to layer it with a shirt underneath and see how I like it.  If it's too itchy, it's going back as I can't stand wearing itchy sweaters for long periods of time.  Oh and I ended up getting the camel one but now seeing these pictures, I might like the navy one better so if I keep it, I may exchange the color.

Honeycomb Cable Sweater in Bright Dahlia (XS) and Minnie Pant (00) in Vibrant Flame
The Honeycomb Sweater is a prime example in the XS being slightly too big and making me look a lot boxier.  I felt the knit was a bit too chunky on me anyway so didn't bother trying it in a different size.  I already own two pairs of Minnie pants and thought I loved them but then wore one of them recently and felt they were weird on me.  Again, it dawned on me that I possibly bought the wrong size and sure enough I tried on the Minnie Pant in this really pretty red in a 00 and they fit perfectly.  I do want to point out that I'm typically a 0 in every other brand so I think that J Crew is definitely doing some vanity sizing.  If you are like me and typically go for your regular size at J Crew, I suggest sizing down just to see, you may find out that you are like me and are buying the wrong size!

I absolutely LOVE the Wynter sweater.  The stripes and the sequins are such a great combo!  It may be my favorite buy of the whole shopping trip.  It's the same as the Heart Me sweater in that it's a bit itchy so I'm debating on it as well, however because I love the sequins it's closer on the "keeping" side :)  They don't have this color combo online so check out the stores, mine still had a ton left.

Sorry for my distracting RuMe bag in the back there, I should have moved it out of the photos but I didn't notice until now.  I always shop with a reusuable bag and stores love me for not having to use one of their bags and I love that I'm not wasting a paper bag!

I'm a bit shopped out so will be skipping the malls and such for Black Friday but will definitely be seeing what sales will be popping up online.  How about you?  Do you like fighting the Black Friday crowds to get the amazing bargains?  Or would you rather sit at home and shop online like me?  Let me know what you guys get, I love seeing the fun stuff that everyone gets during the sale season!

pssttt.. want to know how I get my designer shoes on sale?  Check out my tips here!

Julep Maven Review and Giveaway!

I love beauty products, I'm addicted to buying makeup but as you can see from my nail polish organization video, I'm even crazier about nail polish.  I recently stumbled upon Julep Maven and instantly had to sign up.  It's like a monthly subscription kind of thing where they send you nail polishes and related beauty products based on a little quiz you take.  Anyway, I got my box and I LOVE it and had to share with you guys.  And not only that, Julep is a local Seattle salon (I haven't been to yet but I want to!) which made me love it even more.  Here's what I got in my set.  I love the colors and the price ($19.99) was great!  The nail polishes alone were worth it for me to get it at that price as they are originally $14 just on their own.
What came in my box:
  • "Facial for hands" Glycolic Hand Scrub (I've never had a hand scrub before, only at nail salons but I love this! My hands are so soft!
  • Lindsay nail polish - a deep dark burgundy
  • Shania nail polish - a pearly silver champagne

The polishes go on really well!  This weekend I painted my nails with the Lindsay (2 coats was the perfect dark red).  I did my usual "chip free" nail polish routine and have had 4 days with very little chips.  I have yet to try out their top coat but I have one coming to me in this month's Maven box!

And not only that, there are lots of fun perks to being part of the Julep Maven program.

Anyway, after I got the kit, I reached out to them to see if they would partner with me for a giveaway because I had to share this awesomeness with you guys.  They were kind enough to provide me with one Julep Maven box to give away to one of you guys!  The winner will be able to take the quiz and win the box that suits her best!  Oh and before I get to the giveaway stuff, they also were super awesome to give my readers a special discount.  If you decide to join Julep Maven, use my special code IAMSTYLEISH at checkout to get your first box for $9.99!  Originally the kit is $19.99 and the products retail for over $40, so this is an amazing deal!

I don't love this outfit but hey, you win some you lose some :)  I do however love the blazer, it was a gift from my mother in law for my birthday and I just adore it!  It's officially the holidays, can you believe it?  I'm prepping myself for the food fest that will occur later this week.  My mom always prepares a ton of Chinese/Taiwanese food along with the usual turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, etc... so it's always way too much food!  But, I love it!  I'm going to try to do a little bit of relaxing this week since the past few weeks have been super stressful.  I'm looking forward to it and spending some time with my family.  I hope everyone (if you celebrate it) has a great Thanksgiving!

And to get your holiday shopping started early, we are offering 25% off your order (no minimums!) and free shipping for your order of $75 or more!  Use code THANKS at checkout.  Come visit our shop and stock up on your favorites or buy your friends and family something special!

Lookbook: Winter Maxi Skirt

Chanel_MaxiChanel_Maxi3 Chanel_Maxi4

What I'm Wearing
*Sweater: J Crew V-Neck Sweater (I added a custom monogram) or just get this one for $11.50!
*Skirt: Lily White (from BP at Nordstrom) - similar but in solid colors or cute and cheap F21 floral maxi and this cute one at Threadsence.
*Shoes: Miu Miu - similar Miu Miu pump, or a great Look for Less
*Bag: Vintage Chanel - as seen in my How to Take Care of your Bags video
*Jewelry: t+j Designs Bamboo Crystal Bracelet, Hammered Bangle, Medium Gold Bangle, Gold Chain Bracelet (with DIY braided embroidery floss) and Glam Leatherette Ring.  Gold ring is by Jewelmint.
*Nails: Urban Decay - it came in last season's holiday kit.  This season's kit has a similar shade.  I love the mini bottles.

Gotta love the maxi skirt, especially for the winter!  I can still wear a skirt and keep my legs relatively warm.  I recently got this one at the juniors department at Nordstrom and it was on sale for like $20.  It's not online though, so if you like it, check out the stores, it might still be there!  I'm getting a little lazy with getting dressed up these days.  I think the jewelry line is taking over my creative brain so I'm just putting together simple outfits but loading up on the jewelry.  I can't help it, it's my life now!  Not complaining as I love what I do.  :)  I spent this weekend doing a lot of baking.  I baked 2 loaves of rosemary garlic bread, that were so yummy.  (Can you tell I'm in a rosemary phase right now?)  Baking bread is annoying, getting the water and the milk to the right temperature, all that waiting for the dough to rise, kneading it juuuust right (or else your texture turns out all wrong), but man oh man, all of that is so worth it!  I also baked a delicious Lemon Pound Cake which I even consider a bit "healthier" as I substituted a non fat yogurt for the majority of the butter and it turned out amazing!  You can tell when I'm most stressed when I start baking a lot.  It's a crazy stress reliever but it makes me happy and hubs likes it better than me just yelling at him all the time.  LOL! ;)

If you didn't know we are doing weekly Style Steal deals and this week all of our Luxe Link necklaces are marked down over 30% off.  They'll only be at this price until Friday 11/18 so pick one up for yourself or gifts for your friends!  My favorites are the Delicate Link necklace that I'm wearing below and the Pearl and Rhinestone necklace, which is the perfect complement to a LBD.  Check out the rest of the styles on sale here

Burberry Body

There is something about the holiday season that makes me want to wear and buy perfume more often.  I think it might be all the gift sets that come out during this time of the year, I'm a sucker for them :)  I have quite a few that I love but really only use two as my "regulars".  When I was approached about reviewing the new Burberry Body fragrance, I was a bit skeptical because I'm really picky about perfumes and really do not like certain scents.  When I was out shopping I stopped by the perfume counter to give it a test to discover that it was something that I actually liked.  I accepted the review and got my bottle.  You know how scents always change when they are on your body so I wanted to test it out for a week before I did my review.  At first when it comes out of the bottle, it's a bit strong but once it settles into your skin it becomes just a nice and light fragrance.  I would classify it in the "fresh and floral" kind of scents.  For my perfume tastes, I land way more on the "fresh" side of things in that I like the clean smell without any super overpowering fragrances.  Burberry Body is definitely in that category but a little stronger than I'm used to.  I usually spray my wrists and my neck but since this is a bit stronger, I just stick to spraying my wrists.

I know perfume reviews are probably pretty impossible to do over the internet but I do appreciate reading what other's like because when I get to the perfume counter, I can at least have some idea of what I want to try.  I think that the Burberry Body is definitely more of a "winter" fragrance than a summer one so I'm happy to put away some of my lighter fragrances to use this one.  In fact, I'm already putting together my holiday party outfit and I think that the Burberry Body will be a great complement to my outfit and the bottle even matches my shoes! :)

BURBERRY invites you to discover the new fragrance for women.
BURBERRY BODY is a feminine and sensual floral woody fragrance with an eclectic combination of luxurious, refined notes. The scent has top notes of fresh green absinthe, illuminating elegant peach and refined freesia. The floral bouquet of natural rose absolute and iris blends gently with subtle warm tones of sandalwood to form the heart notes. Woody cashmeran, creamy vanilla, sensual amber and musk compose the base notes of this unique and seductive fragrance.

Croissant Breakfast Sandwich

My favorite kinds of foods are usually breakfast foods but I rarely eat them at breakfast time.  It usually turns into brunch or breakfast for dinner, which is one my favorite meals to make.  I love the breakfast sandwich and I know it's not the healthiest thing so I don't cook it often but, when I do, hubs loves it!   I often make it with english muffins but we decided to go all out and get croissants this time.  Either way is good, but man, you can't beat a flaky buttery croissant!

This is all done free style so don't feel like you have to stick with these directions.  Everyone has different tastes in sandwiches and so this is how I make it but it works with just about any other applicable sandwich ingredients that you love too (like ham instead of sausage, adding cheese, adding cooked peppers etc...)

To make the sandwich:
  • Cook the sausages in the pan - I get the sausages from the grocery store that are already shaped into patties.
  • I do 1.5 sausage patties per sandwich.  Just slice the patties in half, it makes it easier to arrange on the croissant.
  • Set aside on paper towels to absorb the grease then start on the eggs
  • Cook the eggs to your liking - I usually do over easy if I want a runny yolk or sometimes I just let the entire egg cook through kind of like McDonald's style if you know what I mean.
  • Warm up the croissants in the oven/toaster oven - Slice them in half first, easier to do than when they are hot.  I wasn't paying attention and burned mine slightly.  Oops!  Oh well, I don't claim to be a perfect cook! ;)
  • Plate it! Bottom half/sausages/egg/top half.
Making the breakfast potatoes:
  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Slice your potatoes into quarters or small pieces - I used baby gold potatoes
  • In a bowl combine: (I don't give measurements because I don't know them myself, I just add in whatever looks good to me to cover all the potatoes)
    • olive oil
    • rosemary (fresh or dried)
    • salt and pepper
    • chipotle pepper powder (optional but I like them with a bit of a kick!)
  • Whisk the ingredients together in the bowl and then toss your potatoes into the bowl and cover them in the oil mixture.
  • Spray your baking sheet
  • Place the potatoes on the sheet in one single layer
  • Bake for 30 minutes or longer, whenever you start seeing the edges turn brown.
  • At the half way point you can take the pan out of the oven and turn your potatoes although mine were so small so I didn't bother.
  • I like them extra crispy so I also let them sit under the broiler for 2 minutes.
Put it all together and eat your delish sandwich!  It's perfect for any
time of day but I'll tell you that it is kind of heavy so prepared to take a nap afterwards! ;)

Thank you everyone for the anniversary wishes! We had a low key dinner at our favorite Italian restaurant (Machiavelli for you Seattle-ites - if you haven't been, you gotta go, it's amazing!) and are going to celebrate a bit bigger a little bit later on. :)

Just a reminder that today is the last day to take 20% off your order of $75 or more at t+j Designs! Use code "GLAM"

Also, have you entered my $100 giveaway?  Just sign up for ebates with my referral link and you are entered!  Details here.  Friday is the last day to enter.

Video: How to take care of your bags

As a follow up to my How to Take Care of Your Shoes video, I had several people ask if I could do a video on how to take care of your bags so here it (finally) is!  I go over a few tips on how I take care of my bags from aging from weather and stains, how to clean my bags and how I store them.

My basic tips are:
  • Use a weather and stain repellent spray before using your bags and spray again if you haven't used the bag in awhile.  If you use the bag frequently, spray the bag every few months or as needed based on your weather.
  • Use a leather conditioner to keep the leather soft and scratch free.
  • To clean stain spots, use a leather cleaner or a mix of baby shampoo (a small amount) and water and dab with a clean cloth.  Let dry and repeat if necessary.
My caveat is that I have never done this on any of my new Chanel lambskin bags (like my Ultimate Stitch bag) because the leather is a bit different than the leathers on all my other handbags (it's a lot more delicate).  So I don't advise this for your lambskin bags since I've never sprayed or treated them before.  Same with Chanel caviar bags.  I just really baby them (they never get taken out in the rain, if they do, I hide it underneath my coat) whereas my other bags I'm a bit more rough.

I'm currently reading The Art of Racing in the Rain, which I didn't even read the description or Goodreads it which I usually do before I read a book, because it came so highly recommended from so many people.  I didn't know what to expect except that it was written from the perspective of a dog which I thought I'd really enjoy.  Well turns out, I love the book but I can barely get through a few chapters without crying!  I have to put the book down and walk away even though I love reading it but I'm continuously crying!  I really try hard not to but next thing I know I'm bawling.  Hubs can hear me sniffling away and he doesn't even have to look, he knows I'm reading the book.  haha!  On another note, I found out that I could borrow e-books from the library to read on my iPad which has saved me tons of money!  I never was one to borrow actual books from the library and I switched to e-books when I got my Nook 2 years ago (which I still love) so I never looked into borrowing from the library until a few months ago when I stumbled upon the fact that my library had tons of e-books to lend out.  They don't have as much as a selection as Barnes and Noble and you do have to get on a waiting list for more popular books, I think I had to be waitlisted for a month for The Art of Racing, but it doesn't bother me to wait.  I love it and the best part is, it's free, even the app!  My library uses the Overdrive app to read books on iPad and Nook.  I'm not sure how other libraries do it, but if you have an iPad/e-reader, it's worth checking out how your library lends out e-books!

Do you Ebates? $100 Giveaway!

It's the start of sale/holiday season, you know the time where everyone would love to have a little bit extra spending money so Ebates and I have partnered for another $100 cash giveaway!  Yay!

Nordstrom is having their half yearly sale and ebates is offering 3% cashback.  A few of my picks from the sale:
  1. Calvin Klein Shawl Collar Wrap Coat - I love coats like this, it looks so cozy.  Bonus points: it comes in petite sizes and lots of colors.
  2. Vince Camuto Faux Fur Vest - my hunt for a faux fur vest may be over.  This also comes in petite sizing which may work better for me as most fur vests seem to overwhelm my frame.
  3. MARC BY MARC JACOBS 'Bianca Hayley' Leather Tote - The perfect work tote! I love this color for the fall as well.
  4. Pour la Victoire 'Marlow' Belted Clutch - I love yellow clutches, this one is very classy looking.
  5. Theory 'Nisla - Bright Satin' Dress - I'm addicted to long sleeve dresses.  Love the color of this.  Would look great belted with a cozy cardigan over it or add a blazer, tights and boots for work.
  6.  J Brand Skinny Stretch Twill Pants  - gotta love the crazy color jeans!  I've never had anything this green but I think would look terrific with a black sweater and black pumps.
