I love these pieces that look great either alone or worn with a blazer or cardigan. And, I love how they paired these with colored denim which is so what I'm going to be doing when the sun finally comes out here!
They also have some great "not so basic" basics. Don't those sweater cardigans look so cozy? And I love the tanks, I would totally wear them underneath a blazer or one of these cardigans.
Oh and the dresses! I love these, they are perfect for the spring/summer when I'll want to just be lazy and put something cute on and go. I'm loving the stripes!

ReplyDeleteOh poor basics, always neglected, always last minute and yes, always on the cheap end. I too fall for those $5 F21 tees! However I've found that the Merona brand at target has better quality basics. They're still very cheap but I've had some that have lasted years and while the F21's come and go, the Merona's stay strong! I'll sign up for the giveaway, maybe these will change my mind!

ReplyDeleteGreat picks! I'm all basics, no frills. So... totally opposite of you. :) I will pay $$ for a tee (if I like it a lot) without even hesitating. As a stay at home mom and jewelry designer/maker I live for comfort, but I like that comfort to look good and last long.

DeleteBasics are pretty important. Great for layering! I've been "slowly" learning over the years. I too like things that've got all the trendy stuff going on already... but I forget it's important to have the 'simpler' stuff also. Where do I store these things?? I have yet to figure that part out also...

Its funny when i read this post because after a few seconds i thought oh thats right, you actually don't sport a lot of basic wear outfits:) So i think its a fab idea that you plan to get some basics.
