I've been using this Shampoo and Conditioner from Yuko for the past few months. It's part of their Anti-Frizz line which does exactly that. The kit also comes with a heat activated leave-in conditioner and a finishing serum. I love the kit and if I was little less high maintenance with my hair I'd probably be pretty happy with just this kit.
I use a few other products to keep my hair healthy. I have a ton of hair and it just gets all limp and yucky if I don't take care of it, so I try to keep it healthy so it stays shiny and full. I use all these products but not daily and all at once. I basically just pick and choose the products based on if I washed my hair that day, how much product is already in my hair and what I feel like it needs.
And I'm sure I've mentioned this before but I'm crazy about vitamins. You should see my vitamin drawer. I take vitamins for everything. I spend too much time reading about vitamins and which ones I need to take. It's ridiculous. Anyway, the ONE vitamin that I convince every girlfriend/female family member to take is Biotin which is a vitamin for stronger hair, skin and nails. I've been taking this daily since I cut my hair (I hated it so much I wanted to find some kind of magic to make my hair grow) and my hair did grow and it grew fast! My nails are also much stronger now. I recommend this to everyone. It's awesome! They sell it at Costco too if you want to just get a big bottle that will last you awhile. And don't just take it once in awhile, take it every day along with your multi-vitamin which is how I remember to take it. I've always had thick hair but it's super crazy thick now and at the rate it grew, I know that the Biotin had to have helped.
So, hope that helps with my hair care products and let me know if you have any questions! Tomorrow I'll do a post on what tools I use and my favorite dry shampoos.
Disclosure: The Yuko hair care kit and WEN products were provided by the respective companies for consideration but no reviews/coverage were promised and these are my honest opinions.

I didn't know about Biotin - thanks for the tip.
ReplyDeleteI have to battle frizz because of my BIG hair - so I'm pretty loyal to John Frieda's FrizzEase products....but is there something else you would recommend?

I have wanted to try Biotin for a long time now and I think I'll go for it.
ReplyDeleteLOVE Josie Maran's argan oil! It's the best!
Thanks for the Biotin tip!! So useful! xx
ReplyDeletethank you so much for the tips, I also use a good product to take care of my hair, it's Pro Naturals Moroccan Argan Oil which protects my hair, makes it stronger and keeps it soft, shiny and healthy. :D
ReplyDeletethanks soooo much for the awesome post!!!! I ordered the Biotin to try and also Yuko hair kit!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the post, those products look amazing! I only use natural and organic products on my hair too. I prefer Pro Naturals Moroccan Argan Oil on my natural hair to keep it healthy, my hair is curly and gets really frizzy but the oil smooths it down and nourishes it. Love having chemical free hair :)
ReplyDeleteI've heard about Wen products also. I hear a lot of good things about them. I don't usually spend a lot on hair products... I just recently "upgraded" to John Freida brand for shampoo. I realize that as I get older, I am in need of using better stuff... hence, the upgrades :)

I love love using biotin! I heard about it 2 years ago before my wedding and used it to help grow my hair and it worked like magic! I also tell every female I meet about it :) I've been dying to try out argan oil, so thanks for the review
ReplyDeleteTiffany,
ReplyDeleteI love Biotin and have been taking it for a few years. I used to use Phyto supplements but it's sooo expensive. I'm almost done my Biotin supplements by GNC and I've been searching for a new brand to take so I may need to check out the one you recommended at Costco. I hope it's in a easy to swallow size? My experience with their Kirkland brand is horse sized pills which cause me to gag. lol My friend recommended a vegetarian version but I need to ask her for the exact brand.
I have a GHD flat iron from 2007 and it still works. However, if I need a new one then I may look into the one you reviewed. Have you tried any of the styling tools by HANA Elite (I was curious about that line)?
xo,
Jess
