Trying out Muscle Milk

I love working out but admitedly I don’t do much to take care of my muscles after the workout.  My husband is always making protein shakes and such after his workout and he always offers to make me one but I just don’t feel like it so I sip on my water instead.  I’m kind of in the “I’m a girl” camp so I don’t believe I need to do what the boys do to recover after a workout.  Well, I’m clearly wrong about that as protein is actually very important for muscle recovery and sustained energy.  Muscle Milk asked me to try out their Protein Nutrition Shake for a week after each of my workouts that trainer Jen Cohen has put together for me.  I’m really excited to have new workout routines and also see if the protein shakes do make a difference compared to what I’ve been doing before.  Not only is it supposed to help with recovery (hopefully won’t be as sore the next day!) but with the vitamins and minerals in the Muscle Milk it helps promote lean muscle growth.  Sounds great but I’ll let you know how it works out for me!

    I haven't tried Muscle Milk. I JUST started doing Shakeology by Beachbody (like just started last night). So we'll see how that works out 🙂

    I haven't tried Muscle Milk, please let me (us) know if it tastes ok. I 've tried many brands and have been grossed out. I found this in my local organic store and it's sooooooooooo yummy but you have to drink it cold.

    My roommate is a varsity softball player on a PAC-12 team and they drink lots of Muscle Milk after workouts. She's brought some home for me, and I initially didn't like the taste (a little too sweet), so I didn't stick with it long enough to see if there are any results. I should try again though!

      my husband is a big fan (to be honest, I wouldn't be doing this review if he didn't love it already) so I'm glad to hear that your roommate and her team drink it too! I'm definitely hoping to see results!

    You should be careful b/c a lot of these protein powders and drinks contain heavy metals. google consumer reports and you'll see. Like arsenic, cadmium, etc. scary.
