Took these photos about a month ago when we were having a beautiful sunny day, which if you know Seattle is a rarity in early spring.  Definitely looking forward to more of those days!  And it's a fun day for us over at t+j Designs because we've got new arrivals!  I've been wearing our new teardrop necklaces nonstop, they are so much fun!  Check them out and all our new styles.

Designer shoe sale!

It's my favorite time of the year... Designer shoe sale!  As usual, I did the pre-sale with my Nordstrom Sales Associate (see my shoe shopping video from the last shoe sale) and wanted to share with you guys which shoes I tried on and what will be going on sale!

First, here's the craziness that I was sitting in the middle of.  My SA is awesome, he gets all the size 5-5.5's that he think that I'll like and then brings them out to me and I spend the next hour or so just trying on the most fabulous shoes!

I'm not going to tell you which ones I ended up getting because I want to hear which ones YOU guys like best and see if I chose those ones :)  The actual sale starts tomorrow (Wednesday) so if you didn't do the pre-sale make sure to check out the sale at the store or online!

I don't know the pricing of everything because I looked at WAY too many shoes and didn't take notes but I found them online so I linked to them and the sale price will be about 33% to 40% off that price.

Finally the reveal of my new bag!  I posted about wanting either the Prada or the Proenza Schouler and I ended up falling for the PS1 Keep All first!  After seeing this color but in the PS1 messenger bag I knew I wanted it but found that it was impossible to find anywhere.  I finally went on ebay and there she was!  I'm not a huge ebay-er and I don't often buy designer items for fear of buying fakes but with the pictures and the seller feedback, I was confident and when I received the bag, I was VERY happy!  Turns out that the seller is also a youtube subbie of mine as she knew who I was when I purchased the bag!  Such a funny small internet world.  I've already taken it on a couple of business trips and I love that it gives my work/travel outfits a bit of color but also is able to carry all my files and other crap I have to carry with me.  It's a fabulous bag and I adore it!

J Crew and Gap Sale shopping

Another dressing room post... I know, however it's crazy sale time this weekend and I had to go to Bellevue yesterday so stopped by the mall and found lots of great deals so I wanted to share so you could take advantage before they all end on Monday.

First off, I stopped by GAP because they enticed me with their 40% off sale signs and was loving all the bright colors that I spotted in the window.

I'm a sucker for bright shorts so I grabbed these right when I walked in.  The ikat shorts are super cute too but since I tend to wear a lot of brights in the summer, I bought the pink ones with the orange tee (that neon orange is my new favorite color!).

Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale Haul!

Did some shopping yesterday at the Nordstrom Half Yearly sale and wanted to share my finds!

Love these two from Via C.  The silky Rag & Bone top is a bit pajama-y but in a good way.  The sequin cardigan fits really well and although I do like sequins and sparkle (I was even wearing my sequin heels that day!) I'm a little hesitant on this as it is very sparkly in person but I got it anyway.  Going to try pairing it with stuff in my closet to see how I can make it work.

Whole Living: 3 Day Reboot Detox

I love to cook but now that my schedule has been so busy, the last thing I want to do after working 16 hours a day is to get in the kitchen and cook.  This has led us to eating out more than we like and I was feeling a bit lethargic and not so healthy in general.  I recently subscribed to Whole Living magazine and I'm obsessed with it.  I read every single article and have really changed our food and eating habits because of it.  I came across this "detox" that sounded perfect for me.  From the magazine:
"New Year’s resolutions a distant memory? Whether you want to recommit to a healthier eating regimen or simply treat your body to some R&R, our three-day reboot is a delicious way to do it."

Last week, I did the 3 day reboot and the rest of the week I stuck to a generally healthy diet.  I ended up losing 3 pounds during the week (which to be honest, was probably just water weight) but not only that, I just feel a lot more "cleaner", healthier and energized.

Shop the Trend: Cap Toes

Following yesterday's post, my obsession with cap toe pumps continues... do you guys ever buy a certain style of something and get obsessed with finding more of it?  That's me.  I do it all the time.  Anyway, in my hunt of cap toes, I found quite a few lovelies that I thought I'd share! 

The Classiques pair are a great look for less of my Chanel pumps!  They are great for work and at less than $150 each, you could invest in two colors!

Shoe Collection: Chanel Cap Toes

I'm a total classic pump kind of girl.  Even though you'd think they'd all be the same, they are all different to me in some way.  I fell in love with these the moment that I saw them and they are just perfect to me. 

I got mine at Nordstrom and unfortunately they aren't sold online (I don't think any Chanel merchandise is except for cosmetics, vintage jewelry and vintage bags) but I was there this weekend and they still had them AND they now have them in several colors!  I love these two and they also had them in white with black cap toes.

 

They were definitely a splurge and I spent a full week contemplating if I should keep them or not but I was thoroughly convinced after one of my favorite enablers told me "You can wear them forever... You can be buried in them."  I laughed but had to agree.  :)

What I'm Wearing
LC Lauren Conrad Chiffon Blazer - I'm wearing the 0 but it does run on the small side, the boyfriend blazer that you saw on yesterday's post is a 0 as well but is much roomier.
Zara Butterfly Top (old) - another butterfly print top from Zara or very similar from F21 (and only $7.80!) or love this peachy butterfly print blouse.
Rag & Bone Zipper Jeans - also in blue.  I also got these waxed jeans that look like leather.  I love them!  Such a cheaper alternative than getting actual leather pants.  Oh and the capri fit of Rag & Bone jeans fit me perfectly!  I never have to get them hemmed.  (I know that I can't wear them until next fall but they are over 50% off and for rag & bone jeans, I get them anytime they are on sale!)
Manolo Blahnik pumps - also adore these cap toe pumps and I'm reaallly tempted to get these hot pink ones.  Love!
t+j Designs Black & Gold Layer Necklace - this necklace is a lot lighter than it looks which I love.  I can't stand it when necklaces are too heavy and put strain on my neck so that I have to take it off during the day, that's why we like to design lightweight necklaces! :)

It's not yet shorts season here but I can finally wear this chiffon blazer that I just love!  It's the perfect lightweight blazer and I love that the sheer-ness of it.  I have a lot of blazers but none like this.  I'll tell you I never expected to find one of my favorite pieces at Kohl's but I did!  It's also on super sale right now so I'd pick it up if I were you! :)

Kohl's Spring Trend Video

Back in March, Glam and Kohl's flew me out to New York to be in a fun video/photo shoot with a few other bloggers and the video is now up on Kohl's!

It was such a fun day and I got to meet and spend the day with some fabulous bloggers which is always nice.  We each had a trend and mine was the color blocking trend with white as the focus.  I adored all the outfits that they brought for me but loved the two that I ended up in as they are totally my kind of outfits.

This one was my favorite of the two.  As you may know, I love blazers and after the shoot, I got to bring this home with me and it's been such a staple in my closet!  You've seen it on me here and in cream here.  And those shorts were so cute, all the girls at the shoot wanted them too!

My trip to NYC was short but I had so much fun every single moment!  And I will admit that this shoot turned me into a permanent Kohl's shopper as I loved all the clothes that not only I was wearing but what the other girls were wearing too!

Just a simple work outfit but had to share one of my new favorite tops.  I find that heart prints are difficult to wear in a grown up way but this top is one of the few that I can actually wear to a client meeting.  I've been living out of a suitcase lately and I mostly just packed these type of blouses.  I can't get enough of them!  I'm just loving all the different colors and prints.  Plus, they are just so easy to pack and look great for work or pair them with jeans for dinner.  And if you missed it, check out my travel packing tips post to see how I pack my suitcase.

Lookbook: Lace Pants and Sale Finds!

 

What I'm Wearing

Top: ASOS - no longer available, cute BCBG top in a pretty blue.  This Forever 21 top is a great option for the summer and love all the colors!  For $13.80 I think I'll pick up two colors!

Pants: ASOS Lace Skinny Pants - on sale!  These lace pants are gorgeous as well (love that teaberry color) but I haven't had much luck with ASOS regular sizing pants.  They run a bit big so if you are my size, stick with the petite sizing.

Shoes: Gucci Hollywood Pumps (in beige logo) - you can also get the "new hollywood pumps" in black and nude and they look a bit more comfortable because of the small platform in front.

Bag: Miu Miu Bow Bag - on another note, I love this mint Miu Miu clutch!

My Nephew!

Dress Obsessed

I'm so happy the sun is out and I get to wear dresses again!  Doing a little online shopping and wanted to share my picks.

I had a few people ask me about strapless bras and what brand/style I prefer to wear but to tell you the truth, I can't stand strapless bras.  I have never found one that doesn't slide down and is comfortable to wear for long periods of time.  Since a few summers ago, I switched to bandeau bras to wear underneath dresses and tops that usually call for strapless bras and I love it!  The fun part about bandeau bras is you can get so many fun colors so it can add a bit of an unexpected pop of color and it's not weird looking if it pops out.  In fact, I try to make it part of the outfit most of the time.  You can see how I wear it in this lookbook from a few summers ago.

If you are needing a bit of coverage, there are quite a few that do have cups built in.  I actually really like these cheapies from Forever 21 and I always pick up a few different colors for the summer.  Trust me when I tell you on a super hot day, these are so much more comfortable to wear than a regular bra.  Once you try it, I'm sure you'll thank me! :)

Buy it here and polka dots here!  I also have a few lace ones which actually look great underneath a too-low v-neck top.  This one is my favorite.

I like how they paired it underneath a sheer top like this.  I'm not brave enough to wear it like this, well maybe on vacation on a resort where I wouldn't be seeing many people :)  But I do think it's a cute option!

Lauren Conrad Style

I admit to being a Laguna Beach addict back in the day.  I loved the high school drama, relationships, friendships, etc... What I didn't expect was to end up loving the style of one of the girls from the show.  Of course I'm talking about Lauren Conrad who, in the past few years, I've come to adore her style and am always looking at my celebrity magazines to see what she's wearing.

This is one of my favorite of her recent outfits.  I'm totally going to recreate it soon!
