Lookbook: Horsey

What I'm Wearing
Sheinside Horseprint Dress also in red - also how cute is this ASOS Skater dress in horse print?
Zara clutch - no longer available but I love love the new studded clutch.
Christian Louboutin Simple 100 pumps - I love these shoes but sometimes I want something a little taller.  I want to get the New Simple pumps or the Bianca pumps in nude.  My problem is that my size seems to be sold out everywhere so if you see a size 35, let me know! :)
t+j Designs Brown Snakeskin Chain Necklace, Braided Stainless Steel Bangle Set and Link Cable Bracelet

I was having fit problems with this dress, it's a bit baggy overall and a bit short.  I wore a slim skirt underneath to alleviate my worries of the shortness and I thought the belt would help with the bagginess but after seeing the pictures I'm going to have to take it to my tailor to get the sides slimmed.  That's the good thing about taking pictures of my outfits, I can get a better eye as to what I need to fix.  Isn't it funny how you sometimes you need to see it in pictures to realize how bad something looks?  Anyway, besides the fit issues I adore the dress.  I've always been a fan of shirtdresses and the fun horseprint is what got me.  It will be a great transition to fall dress too.

Jewelry Loves + New Arrivals

Since starting my jewelry line my place is now covered in jewelry.  Whether it's our latest collection, samples from our next collection and parts of jewelry to make into designs, it's just jewelry everywhere.  And to be honest, I kind of love it :)

My business meetings these days are usually for PR opportunities, colloborations or just general networking with other small business owners.  I usually try to bring a few pieces of our jewelry to show as seeing the pieces in person is so much more different than just seeing a picture.  I always have my laptop with me as well in case I need to pull up our website and ever since I recieved my Intel Ultrabook, it's been my main computer that I go anywhere with.  The long battery life is so awesome, it runs for hours but can also be put on standby for days which means that running out of batteries while your out and scrambling to find an outlet is not something I have to worry about.

Some of my favorite t+j Designs pieces with my Ultrabook

To tell you the truth, I don't love PC's because the size and weight of the laptops are always a problem for me.  During my consulting days, I'd have several different laptops because I would use the laptops that the client issued to me and they were all huge, bulky and this is silly to say but they were just ugly.  (you know what I mean don't you?)  I love my Ultrabook as it truly is "ultra stylish" :)  There's no fussy designs or crazy colors, it's just slim and sleek and exactly what I need to take to my meetings.

Ultrabook + Arm Candy!

My sister and I have been crazy busy because we're launching a new collection later this week (30+ new pieces!) and we're both going 100mph trying to get everything done.  Here's a little sneak preview of the pieces that we're launching!

A little stack of friendship bracelets plus colored gems.
my favorite sleek white bangles with gold bars + a pink enamel bracelet that goes with everything.
I really really love small rings/charms these days.  I have been wearing these rings nonstop lately.
So if everything goes right, the new stuff will be in our shop this Wednesday so if you like any of these pieces here, make sure to check it out!

The bottom 3 pics were taken on my iphone and edited with picfx and if you haven't yet, follow me on instagram: tiffanyish :)

Just Wink

Do you remember back in the day when ecards first came out?  Well I do and I went crazy over them.  I sent one to my friends on a weekly basis and once I met my boyfriend (now husband) I sent him ecards ALL the time and he even sent a few to me!  Eventually they died down and now a days when I look for ecards I'm disappointed with how not cute or funny they are.  They all turned into very generic cards and then once I find one that I like, I find out I have to pay for it.  But I just found out about justWink which is an app that you download on your iPhone.  You can browse through the cards, add your pictures, messages, etc... and then you can send it to whoever you want with email, text, facebook (you can post right on their wall or your wall), twitter and get this, they'll even sent a printed version through the mail, like the real mail.  It's one of those things that we never do these days, so I love that there is that option.

I think it's the high school girl in me who loves cards (true story: my BFF and I would go to hallmark after school just to read the cards and awww over the ones that we wished our boyfriends would send us. HAHA!) So I love giving and getting cards and I'm one for giving cards on no occasion at all, just to remind someone that I'm thinking of them and I think that's where ecards come in the best.

Oh and I love that the justWink cards are actually cute and funny! (and it's free!) They're seperated by category so it's easy to find the kind that you want to send.  I sent this one to my husband just because he's always looking forward to Friday...

I emailed it to him and it gave him a link to see the card...

It's fun because you actually get to "open" the card by dragging it.  It works on the iPad too which is awesome. (I hate it when websites don't work on the iPad since that's where I do most of my web surfing.)

I'm just warning my friends right now to get ready for some random ecards from yours truly.  LOL!

justWink is an awesome collection of greeting cards that feature bold colors, adorable illustrations, and witty copy for every occasion. The combination of whimsical unicorns, sweater-wearing cats, and (of course) bacon with realistic, yet playful messages create an unexpected experience for all. And guess what? Each card has a QR code and URL on the back that directs you to a free justWink app for iPhone and Android phones. Download the app and you can send digital cards via text, email or Facebook. For more information and where to find justWink cards on shelf, visit www.just-wink.com or www.facebook.com/justwink.

Muscle Milk Follow Up

I wrote a few weeks ago about how I'd be trying out Muscle Milk so just wanted to do a follow up and let you know how it worked for me!  First of all, trainer Jen Cohen gave us a great workout routine to follow which included jump rope, lunges, planks, squats, pushups, burpees and more.  You had to do each move for around 60 seconds which definitely keeps your heart rate up!  I love these kind of routines and try to take classes at my gym that do these kind of routines but it's nice to also do stuff at my own pace so I'm glad I have this routine to refer to when I can't make the classes.  She recommended to do this routine 4 days a week and on the other days to do 45 mins of my choice of cardio.

She also gave us a few quick tips to help us out and these are my favorite that I wanted to share with you:
  • The secret to scoring a great summer body is to use and engage as many muscles as possible while quickly moving from one exercise do another. This makes sure your heart rate remains high, so you burn the maximum amount of calories in the shortest amount of time possible.
  • First thing when you wake up drink a glass of water with lemon. This help detoxify your system and hydrate you starting as soon as you wake up. It's a great habit to get into.
  • Eat every four hours to make sure your blood sugar doesn't drop. In between lunch and dinner would be a great time to include another Muscle Milk as an easy, on-the-go snack.

on my way to the gym with my essentials: gym bag and water bottle | and a Muscle Milk after the gym
I had been slacking on my workouts because I had been in China for a week and the week before I was too busy preparing for my trip so I hadn't been to they gym in awhile.  When I finished the workout, I could tell that I was going to be sore the next day so I drank the muscle milk since it's suppossed to help with muscle recovery.  The next day I was still sore but I think it did help in that I wasn't as sore as I expected to be. The other thing that I liked about drinking Muscle Milk was that it kept me full after my workout whereas most times after I workout, I'm starving and end up eating something I probably shouldn't.  Now it's become my after workout "snack" and keeps me from eating the first thing that I see (which is usually not something nutritious.)  Working out is something that's very important to me but I've learned through this that recovery is just as important.  I didn't really get into the gym or working out until a few years ago but I keep on learning new things along the way about getting the best workout possible which makes me enjoy working out even more.  I think that's the key to getting to the gym on a consistent basis, is that you are actually enjoying what you're doing.  At one point, I ran every day until I got completely sick of it and started taking circuit training classes and working on my Nike Training Club app.  Once I found new things to do, I became motivated to go to the gym again.  I recently started adding yoga to my weekly workouts and I'm enjoying that too.  It's been great for me to change things up and try new types of exercises out.

Muscle Milk® is an ideal blend of protein, fats, good carbohydrates and 20 vitamins and minerals to provide sustained energy, spur lean muscle growth and help provide recovery after tough days.

Nike LunarGlide+ ID

As you may know, I'm pretty loyal to Nike when it comes to my workout stuff and I got to make some custom Nike Free Run iD a few months ago, which I absolutely love!

Nike kindly offered me a chance to try out the Nike LunarGlide iD running shoes.  I was excited to design my own shoe again!  The colors this time were a little less neon (I love neon shoes!) but I really liked the new fade colors they had.  With all the options it's a little hard to decide what I wanted but because I love gray with brights, I immediately gravitated towards this teal to gray fade.

You can customize practically everything, from the inner sleeve (I chose flourescent yellow) the mid sole colores and even down to the color of the swoosh.

I love the personalization on the tongue of the shoes.  On my last pair I was able to write "style" and "ish" on the shoes but this time it only allowed 4 characters on the tongue so I just went with "ish" on both.
It takes me forever to decide on what I want, I liked this combination too!

Now to decide which one to get made.  Either way, I'm excited to get them!  I love having my own custom sneakers, it's a good motivator to go the gym when I have fun shoes to wear. :)

NIKEiD is the ultimate customization experience and allows our consumers to take their unique inspiration and express it within our Nike product, which results in a perfect intersection: personalized looks on the best performance athletic performance gear in the world.

Shoe Love

As I mentioned last week, I'll be doing a weekly series of style posts with Intel written on my latest must have accessory, the Ultrabook and this week is on my favorite topic, SHOES!  I recently got a few new pairs so had to share... You may have seen these on instagram (follow me @tiffanyish) or facebook already... My new jelly shoes!  I actually tried these on at the Ferragamo store in the Beijing airport but I didn't get them.  I went home and searched and Zappos had them and they were on sale!  I love how fun they are and the cute bows but little unsure about how much wear I'll get out of them so debating on returning.

Thankfully, China did not block me from shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary early access sale!  I ordered these and a few other goodies and they came last week. I am in love with these pumps.  They make me suuuuper tall :)

And just a few of my current faves:

I'm still completely in love with my Chanel cap toes.  I'm seriously contemplating getting them in the all black as they are just so comfy and just a great overall shape.  And just like their bags, the leather is super buttery too.
My glitter Louboutins always kick up any outfit a notch.  I love wearing these when I meet my girls for drinks.  They always appreciate the fun that they bring ;)

My husband and I like to buy shoes for our nephew because he's so dang cute.  And seriously what's cuter than mini shoes?  I can not resist them!  I love these on him (we found them on sale at Nordstrom) and he was running around all day long in them so I think he loved them too!

And just like my nephew, my ultrabook can run for hours!  I'm actually really impressed with this laptop, the battery lasts a really long time which for me is so important because I often work when I travel and at some airports, outlets are nowhere to be seen!  I love not having to worry about charging it and just working my way through my flight.

Lookbook: Birds & Dots

What I'm Wearing
J Crew Talitha Blouse (on sale!)
Zara skirt (from last year) - cute high low version at Forever 21 and similar in blue.
YSL Mary Jane Tribute Sandals - similar, a very similar look for less is on sale for $25!
ASOS Bird Print Clutch - sold out but they have a cute cat clutch now.
Chloe sunglasses via Gilt - similar, love the round ones too.
t+j Designs Gold Crystal Ribbon Bracelet, Pretty Baubles Bracelet, Black Colorblock Cuff (on sale!) and Gold Fringe Necklace (new!)

I'm about the same shade as the white in my skirt!  I need a sunny vacation NOW!

My apologies in advance because I have several sponsored posts for next week.  I didn't mean for it to happen this way but they are already scheduled so I can't change it.  Just wanted to give you guys a heads up.  Although, they are still fun topics that I like so I'm happy to write them, I just know not everyone loves the sponsored posts! :)

Have a good weekend!  I can't wait to relax and hopefully get over this cold and jet lag, I've been feeling like a zombie lately!

Lookbook: Dots on Dots

What I'm Wearing
Forever 21 Polka Dot Blazer - sometimes you just get lucky and find good gems in Forever 21 and this blazer is one of them.  It's my favorite and the quality is pretty good too.
Forever 21 Top - Old, similar and similar
7 for all mankind Josefina Crop Jeans (on sale!) - yes! I finally found my boyfriend jeans... if you remember this post, I was on a quest for a pair and I LOVE these ones.  They are really comfy!  Also since they looked a little tight on the model, I went one size up.  Although they fit baggy in the waist, I like how they fit through the legs at this size.  I also ordered these jeans (same style) with less distressing on the legs but I ended up liking all the distressing so returned those.
Miu Miu Pumps - Here as well.  Simple black pumps but these are the most comfortable pair I own.  Totally worth the investment.
t+j Designs Clutch (sold out), Delicate Luxe Rhinestone Necklace and Gunmetal Crystal Ribbon Bracelet (new arrival!)

I wasn't joking when I told you I was crushing on polka dots!  And thanks to everyone that entered my polka dot scarf giveaway.  The winner is Jasmine Evains!  Congrats!  I sent you an email so check your inbox :)

Random Updates

I was in China all last week so I've been a bit MIA since practically every website is blocked there (even Pinterest! my ultimate online addiction).  Anyway, I'm so glad to be back in the cool Seattle weather as China was blazing hot and they aren't ones for AC over there so even inside it was HOT HOT HOT.

I got super lucky on the trip over as they bumped me up to business class and let me tell you, that 14 hour flight was awesome being able to lie down all the way!  I had to send a photo to my husband of all the leg room that I had.

And I love the fancy meal presentation too :)  If only I could fly business class all the time!

Burgundy & Plum

It's finally summer weather here but of course I've got my mind on Fall fashion.  I can't wait to incorporate some darker colors into my wardrobe, especially plum and burgundy!  These deepeer shades have been one of my favorites for a bit and I'm thinking that I will be adding a few more pieces to my wardrobe.  My favorite of course is my Marc Jacobs crossbody.  I've been using it throughout the summer as it still goes with everything!  I love pairing plum with gold too, it just looks so pretty together.

My plum sunglasses also have been a staple in my summer wardrobe.  I usually stick to black or brown sunglasses but these plum ones have surprisingly taken over all others.

I went shopping and spotted some other plum and burgundy pieces that I'm loving...
Cute plum Ray-ban sunglasses, a better price alternative to my Chloe's, I love the turquoise ones in the back too!

Not a fan of the heel on these Miu Miu Platform booties but I love everything else, the color and especially that bow!  Marc Jacobs pretties in burgundy and gold. (iPad carrying case and Little Stam bag)  Perfect fall accessories.

So in love with these Dior pumps. And the YSL muse that I've been eyeing forever in a new burgundy color.

Oh and I should mention that I'm writing this on my fun new Intel Ultrabook!  It's such a sleek little computer, (it's less than an inch thick!) I'm totally in love!  My favorite part is how slim and lightweight it is. I travel so much and I'm always on the go so having a lighter laptop has been on my wishlist for a long time.  I can slip it into my purse and it doesn't weigh my shoulders down at all.  I've got a series of fun fashion/style posts with intel coming up weekly which I'm excited to share!

DIY Magnetic Makeup Palette

So I have to tell you how excited I am about this DIY only because it is something that I desperately needed and I'm so happy that I can make an endless supply of them!  I buy a lot of palettes but it always ends up that I like some colors better than others which is fine, except when I travel, I have to take the entire palette with me just so I can use those 2-3 colors.  My makeup bag ends up bulging with 3-4 different palettes and I know that I don't need to bring all of them but I really like those specific colors.  I did end up buying the UNII Makeup Palettes and depotted quite a few of my shadows but at $27 for each palette, they certainly aren't cheap and I'd almost like to spend that money on more make up, know what I mean?

When I was in Forever 21 I spotted these palettes for under $5 (I think $3.80 and $4.80 to be exact) and I wasn't even attracted to the makeup itself, I just wanted what was holding the makeup!  I loved that it had a mirror too.  I brought them home and brainstormed and figured out a way to make my very own magnetic palettes!

Here's my finished product!  And of course I glittered it too. :)

White Chocolate Coffee Cookies

When I was in college, Whole Foods had this super yummy Latte Cookie that was basically a coffee cookie with white chocolate chips.  I'm not sure why or when they stopped making it in their bakery but ever since they stopped, I've been super craving it.  They do have a mocha cookie and another latte cookie now but it's not the same as the original.  I randomly bought white chocolate chips not knowing what I wanted to make and then suddenly the thoughts of those Latte cookies came to mind and it was a lightbulb moment like DUH why haven't I tried making them before?

So, these are super simple and easy to make and if you like coffee, you will love these cookies.  Since it's been so long since I've had one I can't quite remember if they are like the Whole Foods cookies but they are darn good. :)

I could not find any instant coffee powder in my grocery store except for this one.  I was a bit skeptical but it was great in the cookie.  (Oh and I got decaf since I was serving them after dinner, I didn't want to keep everyone up!)

Oh and something I learned along the way, do not try to use ground espresso or ground coffee.  It needs to be the instant coffee/espresso powder as they put extra stuff in there and it gives it a way stronger coffee flavor.  Using ground espresso doesn't give as strong of a coffee flavor that you want in these cookies.

White Chocolate Coffee Cookies
Makes about 2 1/2 dozen

1/3 cup butter, room temperature
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 large egg
1 tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 tbsp instant coffee powder
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp baking powder

Preheat oven to 400 F
Cream together butter and sugars in your mixer or large bowl
In a small bowl, beat egg, milk and vanilla extract together and gradually add to the butter/sugar mixture.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, coffee powder, cinnamon, salt, baking soda and baking powder.
Add the flour mixture into butter/sugar mixture and mix until combined
Drop dough by rounded spoonfuls, about an inch around, on your lined baking sheet.
Bake until cookie are golden at the edges, about 9-12 minutes.
Cool on baking sheet for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Sidenote: My favorite tool when making cookies is the cookie scoop.  It was one of those things that I put off buying forever because I was like "do I really need it?" but now that I have it, I can't imagine not having it when I bake.  The cookies all come out about the same size and I think the texture of the cookie even turns out better.  It's also great to use when scooping muffin or cupcake batter into the tins.  I love multi-purpose tools!  This OXO Scoop one is the one I use.

Trying out Muscle Milk

I love working out but admitedly I don't do much to take care of my muscles after the workout.  My husband is always making protein shakes and such after his workout and he always offers to make me one but I just don't feel like it so I sip on my water instead.  I'm kind of in the "I'm a girl" camp so I don't believe I need to do what the boys do to recover after a workout.  Well, I'm clearly wrong about that as protein is actually very important for muscle recovery and sustained energy.  Muscle Milk asked me to try out their Protein Nutrition Shake for a week after each of my workouts that trainer Jen Cohen has put together for me.  I'm really excited to have new workout routines and also see if the protein shakes do make a difference compared to what I've been doing before.  Not only is it supposed to help with recovery (hopefully won't be as sore the next day!) but with the vitamins and minerals in the Muscle Milk it helps promote lean muscle growth.  Sounds great but I'll let you know how it works out for me!

My gym shoes (Nike Free Run 3) and gym bag (from Deux Lux).  Obviously I love bright colors at the gym!
