Layla’s First Birthday!

Today, my baby is one!!  I really can not believe how fast this year flew by.  Everyone told me how fast it would go and they were right!  My daughter is truly everything to me and I have loved every single moment that we’ve had together.  My husband and I have always had a strong relationship (we’ve been together now for almost 15 years!) but having her has made us even closer and stronger.  We just can’t believe how lucky we are to have her.

We had her party this past weekend and wanted to share some pics.  I did not have much time to plan her birthday party, partly because I’ve been so busy with work and I was in New York just a few days before her party and partly because I was procrastinating on what projects I wanted to do for her party.  I had ordered some decoration beforehand but waited until two days before her party, bought the rest of the supplies and just figured it out.  I thought it came out pretty darn cute.  I think Layla loved it too! And a big thank you to my in-laws for helping me set everything up

Anyway, just a warning this is a very photo heavy post!

We kept the party small, invited just family and held it at our house. The decor was very girly but I didn’t want it to look too “baby”.  She does love Minnie Mouse so I was able to work that into the decor which I was happy to find cute Minnie Mouse balloons.  I wanted to keep with our decor which is more on the modern side, so I worked with what we already had up.  (check the bottom of the post for where I bought all my party decor).

I got Layla a few pairs of fancy shoes for her birthday so I of course had to use them as decor!IMG_7707IMG_7892IMG_7713IMG_7717
