Lookbook: Winter Pastels

As much as I love black and gray in the winter (which goes nicely with our gray weather we constantly have here in Seattle) I love my bright colors when I’m feeling a little down or bored and need a pick me up.

Pastels in the winter is a nice way to mix things up in your wardrobe and especially adding in the white which most people stay away from in the winter.  I love that J Crew comes up with such beautiful colors for their basics and I always end up choosing something bright to go with all my winter darks.  This lavender is not a color I have a lot of in my closet but I reach for it often when I’m looking for a nice pop of color to my outfit.

And if you haven’t seen my post on tiff+jen, I shared a “one skirt two ways” over there with this white pleated midi.  It’s actually quite versatile and I wanted to show how a white skirt can be worn during fall and winter!

Love the lavender shade of the sweater, it indeed brings a vibrant pop of color to the surroundings!
