Life Lately

It’s been crazy around here guys… Not much time to blog at all.  With me getting over the flu, my business at it’s peak busy season, being nanny-less for 2.5 weeks and my daughter, who has always been a great sleeper (she started sleeping through the night at 10 weeks old) has now at 16 months become unable to sleep without me being there right next to her and oh yeah, she refuses to fall asleep until 12am!  I’m working through it all and figuring things out as they come but I can not wait to resume back to “normal” life.

If you follow me on instagram, you’ll get a more up to date glimpse of what’s going on with me.  If you don’t follow me yet, here’s a few photos of what I’ve been up to!  While in Chicago my sister took me to a fabulous party hosted by Debi Lilly at her new event space, DL Loft.  The space was beautiful and it was such a fun party to attend.  I finally got a chance to wear the Altuzarra for Target dress that I wrote about back in September when the collection came out.

My sister and I at the holiday party/event that we hosted at Nellcote for our jewelry line.  It was such a fun night of shopping, food and drinks.  So many people came, which made us very happy!  It was at one point so packed that I couldn’t even walk to one end of our table to the other.  We met lots of new and old customers which is the best part!  The dress I’m wearing is by Missguided.  My pearls are here and you can find my sister’s pearls here and her red maxi skirt is also our design!
Before leaving Chicago my sister and I took a much needed break and did a little shopping.  This Valentino Red coat caught my eye and although I didn’t buy it, it’s still on my mind.  I must order it soon.
I always miss my daughter so much when I travel, especially now so that she’s starting to talk and recognize things, I feel like I’m missing out whenever she learns a new word and I’m not there to hear it!  I always make sure to take her on fun outings, just her and I, so when I got home I took her out and we wore our matching glitter shoes. 🙂 Mine are from Target and hers are from Nordstrom but I got them during the summer so both are sold out.

I had one healthy day (see above photo) after I got back and then I got hit with the flu super hard.  The fatigue is the worst!  For someone that goes a million miles an hour (I’m never bored and I’m never without a hundred things on my to do list) to be stuck in bed with the inability to do anything about it was the absolute worst.  The week before, I had planned on my outfit for my husband’s company dinner, which included these gorgeous Wolford tights and our bejeweled clutch.  I was very excited to get to wear my new sparkly tights!  I really tried to get better, but the night of the party, I never ended up making it out of bed.  🙁

I’m finally feeling better now, thank goodness!  Before I got sick, I hit up some online shopping pretty hard for presents and of course ended up picking up some goodies for myself (Merry Christmas to me from me!).  It’s always fun to get presents in the mail isn’t it? 🙂  Here’s some of my haul…

Hope you guys are all surviving the holidays and not too many of you caught the flu too!  Happy Holidays!
