Whenever I go to the drugstore to fill my prescription it seems to take forever, so I end up in the beauty aisles, of course. Drugstore brands release products more often than higher end brands, so there’s always something new to catch my eye.
With summer coming up, update your beauty look with these budget-friendly picks.
My summer eye look is bright and easy. Just throw on a little Maybelline Volum’ Express The Falsies Mascara (pick up the waterproof kind!) for thick, lifted lashes. I also run the Sigma Inner Rim Brightener along the waterline to make the whites of the eyes appear brighter.
To standout at the beach in a good way, stick on a few Glo Tatts, which have a gorgeous jewelry-like, metallic finish and are the coolest accessory to your bikini. Don’t forget to throw your favorite sunnies and a cool water bottle into your beach tote too!
Even if your tan game is strong, a little bronzer steps it up. The Essence Sun Club All-in-One Bronzing Highlighter is the perfect accent since it has built-in shimmer. If you can’t step out of the house without contouring, then get the Essence Sun Club Matt Bronzing Powder, which has a natural, blendable texture. Use a large contour brush like the Sigma F40 for light, controlled application.
A great lipliner locks in any product you put on top. It also makes for a great natural matte lip. The Sigma Lip Base in Go Dutch is the most flattering tawny nude. I like layering the amazingly pigmented Revlon Colorburst Lip Butters on top for a moisturizing, shiny finish. Pictured is Sorbet and Crème Brulee.
