Dressing for the Heat in White

I love being able to wear basically whatever I want now that I’m back home in San Diego. It’s so much easier to be stylish when you don’t have to worry about crippling humidity like I was experiencing on the East Coast just last week.

It’s still warm here temperature-wise, so wearing white has been a smart move to stay cool and comfortable. I’ve been reaching for this updated version of a basic white tee often to pair with distressed denim cut-offs or a breezy maxi skirt. The super soft cotton feels as effortless as it looks, and the simple outfit gives me lots of room to experiment in the accessories department.

Summertime gatherings are all about fun sundresses that can be as casual or dressy as you want. I love the crisp, airy texture of this little number, which really can be worn to almost any event: barbeque, picnic, graduation party, etc. I recommend a cotton slip underneath and comfortable blocked heels (stilettos are not the best for walking in grass).
