I finally made it to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. I’m a card holder and I know I could’ve gone earlier but didn’t have a chance to go until now. As much as I love online shopping, I wanted to go and try on stuff rather than order a bunch of stuff online. I’m glad I did because I ended up finding a lot of stuff that I don’t think I would’ve spotted/liked online but I loved in person. My SA was also super helpful and brought out a ton of clothes that I didn’t see so I was able to try on a lot. I was in the dressing room for over an hour, this is only just a little bit of what I tried on! She just kept on bringing me more and more stuff to try and I loved it! Anyway, wanted to share the best of the bunch and the stuff I brought home with me. I’ll list the sizing that I’m wearing so if you decide to buy online hopefully it will help you figure out which size is right for you. All of the below are included in the sale so if you are interested, make sure to buy it now before the prices go up!
This moto jacket is basically to die for. It’s gorgeous in person and just really luxurious feeling. The tweed and the leather is such a great combo. I didn’t end up getting it (you’ll see why a few photos down!) but it was certainly on the top of my loves list. This cashmere cape is so FAB! I love it and it’s so soft and warm. I’m thinking it’s a little long on me so I may take it to alterations to get it shortened to fit my frame better.
I’m in love with this butterfly top! Equipment always makes the cutest blouses. It looks great as is for the summer but will be super cute with a blazer for the fall. I also love the lace details on this blouse. It’s such a pretty top and will be so cute with my t+j Designs skirts.
I tried to just shop for fall pieces but could not resist trying on this adorable dress. It still may work for fall with this color scheme and I may pair it with a cardigan to see how I like it. I just love the shape of the dress, it’s super flattering on. I didn’t see it in store but online I spotted the solid navy version which is just as cute. I love that the model has it paired with boots. This sleeveless top is a great print and love the double layer detail. I’ve been really into navy lately so I think that’s why I liked it so much.
My SA brought me this top and at first I wasn’t so into it but after pairing it with some pieces I ended up loving it! I paired it with the leather jacket on the right and loved it together. But let’s talk about the jacket because it is GORGEOUS! This is why I didn’t buy the moto jacket up top because I fell in love with this bad boy. The leather is amazingly soft and drapes so well. I don’t have anything in this pretty color and it’s the perfect fall color. I splurged on this piece as I think I will be wearing it a ton this fall.
I wouldn’t have picked out this sweater online or in person but when my SA brought it to me I figured I might as well try it on and it’s actually pretty cute! I like the slouchiness paired with the boyfriend jeans. And about the jeans – I’m a fan of distressed jeans and really liked the relaxed fit but I’m wearing my regular size (well I waiver between size 24 and size 25 for a lot of brands) and these were really baggy in the waist so I’d advise to size down.
I wanted to show you two pieces that didn’t work out for me because I did like them, they just didn’t work for my frame. The Mackage coat is so cute if you are about 5 inches taller than me! It was super overwhelming on my frame but I think on someone tall it would look amazing. It’s wool and leather so is very warm and super chic for winter. On the right is a cashmere cardigan by BOSS. I loved the longer length. There wasn’t an XS for me to try one (which is why I’m wearing the medium) but my SA did tell me that BOSS does tend to run big. I’m going to keep my eye out for something similar as I think I will be needing a long cardigan like this for fall and winter.
Just a side note that the distressed jeans that I’m wearing in most of these photos are mine (they are from American Eagle) I noted the jeans that I tried on from the sale. I am planning on doing another post just on the jeans as I tried on as I tried on so many! I will be sharing my favorite jeans on sale pretty soon.
