DIY Snow White Costume – using thrifted and/or clothes in your closet

This post is sponsored by Value Village

I’m having a
little too much fun with Halloween this year! In case you missed it, I
shared my DIY Minnie Mouse costume last week, and today it’s all about
Snow White! I’m taking my daughter to a few different Halloween parties
this year and I didn’t want to wear the same costume over and over
again. (Layla is currently up to three costumes right now. Can you tell I
LOVE costumes?!) I also didn’t want to go with a premade costume, as I
wanted to pull something together with stuff in my closet. As I was
perusing my closet, this yellow midi skirt jumped out at me and I looked
at it and instantly thought “Snow White.”.

 I
did need a few other items to make this costume, so I went back to
Value Village to peruse and came across this perfect blue top and a red
headband to complete the costume! I knew just what I needed for the
final touch, so I went to the crafts store and picked up red ribbon to
add a big bow to my headband as well as a red belt. I know Snow White
doesn’t wear a red belt, but I liked the added touch.

All
I needed to complete the outfit was a button-down blouse, the skirt,
and my shoes! The entire costume cost less than $20 since I was able to
use items that were already in my closet! It was so easy to find things
at Value Village to mix with things in my closet to create the costume.

This is a great idea! And all pieces that you can wear another day separately.
