Our Holiday Gift Guide Part One

It seems like Christmas is too far off to think about holiday gifts just yet, but actually Thanksgiving is next week. Let’s make a pact this year to not leave gift shopping to the last minute like last year. In other words, let’s say no to desperate, chaotic mall trips mid-December. In fact, how about we get all of our holiday shopping done from home, online? That’s what we’re all about here in this year’s gift guide.

First up are some general for-everyone body care favorites.
The Supergoop Forever Glowing Holiday Set touts a SPF 40 hand cream and body butter so it’s the perfect set for the person on your list who is obsessed with anti-aging everything. Utility bottles with a whipped formula makes it a practical luxury gift.
Everything a natural beauty lover wants for body care is in the Kopari Coconut Holiday Kit: four different ways of moisturizing with coconut oil. I’m already a fan of the Coconut Body Glow for extra festive shimmer as well.
Lush Bubbly Shower Gel is a yummy and bright citrus shower treat while Lush Rose Jam Shower Gel makes for a pleasant rosy lemon morning wake-up call.
The body wash and lotion in the Ren Moroccan Rose Duo are just pure rose fragrance and actually leaves behind a lasting perfume to the skin.
Moon River Naturals Coffee Grapefruit Scrub is for your go-to coffee date bestie. The scrub smells like strong black coffee with a citrus twist and feels super invigorating.

When it comes to gifting makeup, palettes and kits are the way to go. After all, you don’t want to pick out one item that she might not end up quite loving.
Honest Beauty Rose Gold Glimmer Kit has two holiday-event ready gloss colors (the bold berry will become her new favorite) and a pretty rose-gold highlighter compact so she can take her glowy-look to go for any photo opp.
The Urban Decay Naked Illuminating Trio gives her different shade options for highlighting face and body with the perfectly glam neutral nudes that the Urban Decay Naked line is known for.
The Laura Geller Glam on the Go is for the working professional who needs a compact but efficient palette for boosting her 9 to 5 look for an office party or cocktail mixer. The soft eye shadows and cheek colors are all finger applicable and blend quickly and a rosy gloss ties the face together.

You can’t go wrong with candles for hostess gifts. Just look for the right packaging that matches her aesthetic and see our notes below for help.
Ellis Brooklyn Raven Terrific Scented Candle is for the sophisticated friend you’re trying to impress this year. The subtle musky patchouli feels a little bit grown-up-victorian-goth in the best way possible. Think: black and gold marble.
Kai Reed Diffuser is a little bit of a cheat item in this category but necessary nonetheless. We all have that one friend who can’t stand candles. This luxurious smelling and looking jasmine-y diffuser is definitely going to be a welcome upgrade from whatever home fragrance your friend is currently using.
Boy Smells Gardener is for the cool and gritty minimalist friend. The one who mixes Cos and Acne Studios with Alexander Wang. Gardener features tomato as a scent note but it’s mostly just a mild and pleasant citrusy scent that your friend will love to burn for that instagram shot.
Kai Skylight Candle has great throw so gift it to the friend who loves hosting big dinner parties in her spacious home. The heady jasmine scent smells beautifully rich from the jar or in the air.
The very festive looking Elemis Frangipani Glow Candle features a strong ylang ylang fragrance that perfume lovers will love. This is a candle for heavy fragrance lovers who like their perfume to stand out and be noticed.

People travel more around the holidays in general, but for that one jetsetting friend who is in a new country every other week, check out these gift ideas.
Trust that a real traveler can never have too many pieces of luggage. The Genius Pack 21″ Hardside Spinner Carry On is an especially utilitarian option weighting less than 7lbs so your friend can squeeze in an extra pair of shoes. I especially love the multiple pockets and the integrated packing list printed into the inside of the suitcase (see top right), which is actually very handy and unique.
Baggu Circle Purse is a Mary Poppins bag, meaning the small size actually holds quite a lot. The neutral circle shape and soft black color lets it function day and night. This will be the only purse your friend will need on her next trip to Europe.
Explain to your lucky recipient that you’re giving her the Nerd Skincare Biocellulose Mask strictly for her next flight. It’ll be one of those thoughtful and game-changing gifts she’ll forever appreciate as her skin luxuriates in these super concentrated face masks for a few hours.
The pretty and bright metallic Poppin Copper Medium Accessory Pouch is easy to find in a bottomless tote and is the perfect size for carrying all her TSA approved toiletries.
Native Union Tag Cable is a nerdy-chic gift for basically anyone. The charger cables hide inside the leather tag and the entire thing can be looped around a handbag or piece of luggage for discrete, travel-ready power charging.
Everyone knows the Baggu Grey Grid is good for grocery errands etc. but it’s also actually a great travel item for unexpected shopping or laundry trips. Advise her to keep one of these foldable and machine-washable nylon bags in her travel bag at all times since they’re virtually weightless.

Stationary items are always a hit with the young adult and high school crowd. Make your own little gift bag by bundling a few matching items together.
The matching Poppin Copper Medium Soft Cover Notebook and Poppin Copper Pencil Pouch are happen to be just the right size to be functional but still cute. Stuff a few writing utensils like the Poppin White Tip-Top Rollerball Pens or the Rifle Paper Co. Writing Pencils inside the pencil pouch for a complete and personalized gift set.
Additionally, for the artist in your life the Rifle Paper Co. Tapestry Notebook Set is visually stunning and sure to be an immediate source of inspiration.

Stocking stuffers are where you can get creative and personal I think. I always prefer to gift a bunch of small items rather than one big item for stocking stuffers.
Lush Magic of Christmas is a reusable bubble bath bar with an actual cinnamon stick (smells soooo good!) and adorable jingle bell.
Cozy and thick knit socks are no-brainer stocking stuffers for men, but these neutral patterned socks from Richer Poorer will be equally appreciated by any women who live in colder parts too.
One of my favorite workouts is barre and if your friend is a fanatic too, she’ll definitely get a lot of use out of any cute grippy barre socks you want to gift her. I liked the Pointe Studio Donna and Mila the best.
Tiny trial size skincare fit perfectly into stockings and also let your friend try before she commits. The Dr. Jart + K-Beauty A BB C’s features some bestsellers, like their award-winning BB cream, that she’ll be glad you introduced her to.
Can’t get enough of mini glosses and the two neutral pink shades in the Laura Geller Color Luster Lip Gloss Duo are fantastic MLBB (my lips but better) shades that glide on like butter.
The custom-sized carrying pouch is really what makes the Tweezerman Merry & Bright Mini Duo Tweeze Set so perfect. No more losing or damaging these amazing tweezers!
Little versions of SPF 50 to go. The Supergoop Mistletoe Moments Stocking Stuffer gifts your friend with ageless lips and a mini SPF setting spray that fits perfectly into even the tiniest clutch.
The edible Lush Sugar Plum Fairy Lip Scrub is irresistibly scented and worth taking a lick of. Fun and purple but also a must for upcoming dry winter months.

Gifting skincare can be a little tricky since many people have very sensitive skin, so be sure you know your recipients skincare habits and needs. That said, here are a few great kits and luxe singles that might be helpful for introducing her to a new essential.
The Ren Evercalm Gift Set will be well used by anyone who will be traveling somewhere especially cold this winter. The redness reducing and skin calming formulas can help ease the skin shock.
Omorovicza Christmas Introductory Set is for the lover of luxurious skincare. The beautiful weighted, frosted bottles are just begging to be used for a home spa night (mud mask included!). Gift with a fluffy bath robe for bonus points.
Alchimie Forever Kantic Brightening Moisture Mask is for a serious mask devotee. Undoubtedly, this friend already has a detoxifying mask and a moisturizing mask, but this mask brings immediate brightening to a whole new level.
The Skyn Iceland All Eyes on You is a targeted little gift set that conveniently cleanses, treats, and moisturizers the eye area. The eye cleansing cloths are an extra special item that feel much nicer than multi-purpose facial wipes on the skin.
The Rodin Jasmine & Neroli Face Oil comes in cute polka dot packaging just for your gifting needs. It’s an extremely rich and concentrated blend of luxury oils so your lucky recipient will be thanking you for at least the next year.
For the friend that likes DIY skincare, the Moon River Naturals Activated Charcoal Mask is a one great step up. For the mask addict with oily skin specifically, the charcoal formula really detoxifies the skin.
Natural skincare lovers will love the luxurious step forward taken by Tata Harper. Her Luminous Glow Collection is a generous but potentially addicting introduction to the line. The hyaluronic acid rich formula makes this kit necessary for travel when skin tends to dull.
Boscia Mask it All features a fun mix of mask types and formulas that even your most religious skincare addicted friend might not have heard about. Pore Pudding or Splash Mask? Definitely a fun gift to give for later girl’s nights.

One underrepresented category in gift guides is the home + living section. Admittedly, it’s difficult to tailor to your recipients taste but you won’t go wrong with these suggestions.
This super popular blogger pillow: West Elm Mongolian Lamb Pillow is worth the hype. Definitely the softest thing I’ve put on my bed period.
For the friend who has a serious commitment to a beautifully contemporary-feeling home, the Slowdown Studio Hardy Throw is a niche art product that will be adored and well-used. The curated collaborations with global artists result in these uniquely printed throws. Equal parts art object and functional cozy throw.
The Numi Flowering Tea Set in Bamboo has everything needed for your tea connoisseur friend’s next tea party. The flowering tea leaves are a pretty crowdpleaser in the clear teapot that comes with the set.

How far along are you in your holiday gift shopping? Which of these items piqued your interest the most?
