I am Style-ish Paris Travel Guide

The past weekend I was booking a ticket to Amsterdam when I realized that I hadn’t put together a recap of my Paris trip from the past November. It was my second time being in Paris, and as beautiful as I remembered. I was visiting a close friend living there, and it was such a fun experience to be there with her. If you’re planning on visiting anytime soon, check out my recommendations below and leave me some in the comments if you’ve been before!

What to Eat

Ober Mamma is a trendy Italian eatery with an amazing cocktail program and wood-fired pizzas near Le Marais. I recommend getting a few dishes for the table and sharing. The decor and vibe of the place was as Instagram-worthy as the area. The restaurant is just a few doors down from APC, Acne Studios, etc. to illustrate.
Angelina’s is a must-try when in Paris. Their decadent hot chocolate feels like pure melted hot chocolate. Each cup comes with a serving of whipped cream so you can sweeten and milk-ify to your desire. Their pastries are cute but not the best.
Wild & the Moon feels like a Los Angeles transplant, specifically sending Abbot Kinney vibes. Think matcha bowls, tumeric lattes and house-made nut milks. It’s the perfect breather in between croissants and crepes.

What to Do

Palais Royal is where you’ll find the striped stones of Instagram fame. Spend an hour taking cute photos and then walk around the garden/courtyard for some more photogenic materials.

Chateau de Versailles is a stunning piece of history that you must see even if only for a few hours. The palace itself is not very large, but the gardens could be wandered in for hours.

Where to Shop

Le Bon Marche is a historical department store really. It’s massive, so I recommend doing a lot of your designer shopping here to take advantage of a streamlined and knowledgeable VAT refund process.

Acne Studios in Le Marais has such an interesting design that I recommend visiting even though you can shop them in the States.

Merci is a classical Parisian concept shop with three (or four?) floors of goods. Stop by to pick up unique gifts and the chicest homeware goods.

Papier Tigre is a tiny heaven for stationary lovers. Their unique designs have a really cool graphic pop look and their reasonable prices are a big plus.
